About this property

Newly restored villa with private pool for up to 14 people near Sorrento

Villa Celentano is a splendid two-story villa located on a hillside, facing the sea and can sleep up to 14 people. From Villa Celentano, you will enjoy a breath-taking view of the sea in the distance, Vico Equense, the Sorrento Coast and of the surrounding hills.

Villa Celentano is 250 metres squared. It features one spacious, private, long terrace/balcony with a view of the sea, a private above-ground swimming pool, air conditioning and winter heating. It is perfect for a large family retreat, celebration or group of friends. Being only 11km from Sorrento, Villa Celentano is great for sight-seeing, but it is off the beaten track, therefore, avoiding the tourist chaos.

Villa Celentano is situated in a village called Ticciano, which is nestled in the hills of Sorrento Peninsula, near the town of Vico Equense. Villa Celentano offers all guests the opportunity to do excursions, nature walks, boat trips, guided tours and is only a 20 minute trip to the beach. The villa can also provide a guided tour of the surrounding mountains, Mount Faito, (Path of the Gods) and arrange a BBQ. Spend relaxing moments in the middle of nature and also live the 'real life' like people from the Sorrento peninsula, outside the usual tourist haunts. For lovers of gourmet, there are local restaurants and wine bars nearby, which offer typical regional and national produce.

Ticciano is connected by a road which leads to Sorrento and Vico Equense. It is also an ideal starting point for excursions to the famous Positano and the Amalfi Coast, Capri and the fascinating ruins of Pompeii.

The villa is situated approximately 30 metres from the nearest shops, including an infamous butcher with delicious meat. The bus stop (Circumvesuviana, the local bus) is just opposite the villa and will take you to the local beach (Vico Equense) in approximately 20 minutes and the train station. From the train station, you can take the train to Sorrento or Pompeii in approximately 20 minutes. There are pizzerias and restaurants within a 10-minute drive from the property (which also offer a pizza delivery service). We can organise a food hamper for your arrival and home delivery of pizza on request.

The villa has six air-conditioned/heated double bedrooms, five of which are en-suite. There are four bedrooms on the ground floor which are all ensuite and all have double beds which cannot be separated. One of the bedrooms can be accessed via the lounge or externally via the terrace. Two bedrooms can be accessed externally from the courtyard or internally and the fourth bedroom can be accessed via the terrace or internally.

On the first floor, there are two double bedrooms both with double beds which cannot be separated. These two bedrooms share a bathroom. To access the second bedroom you need to go through the first bedroom. One of the bedrooms has a sea view and the other has a mountain view. All bedrooms have air conditioning/heating and are well-equipped. They have an LCD flat-screen TV. All the bathrooms have a shower, toilet, washbasin, bidet and heated towel rail. Additional, foldable single beds can be added to four of the larger bedrooms on request.

There is also a large open plan, fully equipped kitchen and dining room with two sofas and access to the terrace/balcony. Next to the kitchen, there is a utility and a bathroom. Up to 14 people can be seated therefore it is perfect for a large family gathering or special occasion. Here there is also a flat-screen TV. Both from the balconies and from the courtyard, you have direct access to the solarium and pool area. The BBQ is situated by the pool.

The owners live next door but have a separate entrance and you can enjoy the use of a wood-burning oven, on the rooftop of their property, free of charge but on request. The swimming pool is 5 metres long, 3 metres wide and 1.40 metres deep. The swimming pool area is equipped with tables, chairs, deck chairs, sun loungers and an outdoor shower. From the swimming pool, you will enjoy the sea in the distance and views of the surrounding hills and mountains. The pool is open from mid April until the end of October.

Just 10 minutes’ walk from Villa Celentano, you will find Laqua Countryside, a 2-star Michelin restaurant. Antonino Cannavacciuolo, originally from Ticciano (a borough of Vico Equense), has 2 Michelin stars to his name and has just opened a new restaurant, Laqua Countryside, approx. 600 metres away. So, while staying at Villa Celentano, take a stroll to the famous chef’s newly refurbished property to enjoy a first-class, Italian meal in the heart of the Sorrento Coast.

To make most of your stay at Villa Celentano, you will need a car. There are up to 2/3 gated car park spaces at the property for small/medium (not large) sized cars just outside the front door. The last 20 metres from the main road up to the villa is a tight and windy road. If you have a large car, there is a free public car park 50 metres from the villa.

For guests who love walking and hiking, there are local guides who can accompany you on beautiful walks such as the Path of Gods, a walk to Positano from Santa Maria del Castello and stunning landscape walks in Monte Faito with views of the Bay of Naples. Just ask for more information.

Lovely holiday home

We stayed here for week as a large extended family group. The house is incredibly spacious and offers everything you need to cater for a large group. The hosts were very helpful and friendly (as was the property manager) and went out of their way to acommodate all requirements. The location is stunning and the house is very well equipped.. the kids had a great time in the pool despite the fresh temperature of the water. The only negative was the challenge of getting around..the roads to the village are challenging to navigate and stressful to drive on with a large vehicle. This said, we did everything we had planned on doing and the holiday was very enjoyable.

A beautiful villa with special views

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Celentano. It is incredible value for money considering the size of the property as well as having a private pool - this was much needed in the heat! Ticciano was a beautiful villa, and although small, we had all we needed in the shops and the butchers (which was amazing). There was some confusion with the bus times, but once we figured this out, it was easy to get into Vico Equense and beyond. Alfonso was a brilliant host who communicated with us so well. He helped arrange our excursions, as well as booking multiple meals for us. He couldn't have done enough for us and always kept us well informed. We would definitely stay in one of Naples Villas again. Thanks so much Alfonso!

Had an amazing time staying at the villa

Very spacious villa, 14 of us in total and plenty of room for us all without being on top of each other, rooms were big and clean, pool was fantastic and so we're the views , we will be going back to stay in the future also easy to get to Sorrento via public transport and only costing €3.20 for bus and train. Also the guy that sorts out transfers was fab too!

Very nice house in the mountains with good connections to everwhere in the region.

After an hour drive from Naples airport ( last 6 km small roads in the mountains ) you already arrive at the house. It has spacious rooms with 5 double beds and some sleeping possibilities in the living room as well. It is very clean and well maintained. Owners are very friendly and try to make themselves understandable. We got to know Carmine from Naples Villas , who made sure our stay was very well organised ( we booked through him an excursion to Capri with private boat, a visit to a Limoncello factory and a visit to a local family who produces mozarella ) . He picked us up at the house and made sure we we arrived where we supposed to be. he made suggestions where to eat and what to visit. He made we had a vacation without worries ! The house is very well located to visit Sorento, Naples, Pompei, Amalfi coast and Capri . All within an hour drive from the house. Under the house there is a small restaurant ( basic and cheap ) and a shop. Strongly recommend a stay over there ! Jurgen & family

Very nice villa bit far from facilities

Enjoyable stay with friends ideal for a place to relax if you do not plan to venture far. Up a very narrow winding road about 30-40 mins from vic equense by local bus which is every 45 mins or so from early morning to around 10 pm. Easy train connections from Vico . But all the bus runs in the heat are tiring and you need to add to the planning of a day out so a little restrictive. Two very small shops in village that do sell all you need and and a pizza restaurant. We opted for pizza party which was very good and we would recommend. Owners are lovely not intrusive but helpful. We did all of our own excursions via bus and train. Villa is plenty big enough for 10 people any more money get be tight. Best to take own towels and hairdryer. Wifi was quite poor. Pool small but lovely needs sun brollys over the sun beds for additional shade. There is a church bell next to villa on the hour every hour through the night which disturbs sleep.

lovely property in a lovely little village

The property is better than the photos. Spacious and spotless. The bar downstairs has the best pizza I've ever tasted. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The property is remote and the twisty , narrow roads upto Ticciano village takes getting used to. The bells of the church are loud and very regular but overall we had a great time and would highly recommend it

EXCELLENT STAY AND GREAT WELCOMING

Wonderfull stay in Villa Celentano

We had a wonderfull stay in Villa Celentano. A beautifull house with more than enough space for our family (9 persons). We could easily make trips to Naples, Pompei, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. An impressive region of Italy.

BEAUTIFUL VILLA CELENTANO A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN

We came to Italy to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We took our family on a once in a lifetime trip. We rented Villa Celentano in Vico Equense, because it sounded like it would be a lovely location away from the busy crowds. We were met by Carmine, who made my arrangements, who was delightful and immediately made us feel at home. We were helped with our luggage and the staff at the villa were most accommodating. Villa Celentano was quite large and we were very comfortable and relaxed during our stay. The villa was immaculate and very well maintained. Anna, who lives next door was most helpful to answer our questions and was always available when we needed her. For an extra few euros, she provided an amazing Italian breakfast every day for all 15 of us. Carmine, the event planner, was always available daily to inform us as to whom our drivers would be the following day and where we would be going. He took care of us as if we were family. Villa Celentano is a few miles from Sorrento. You definitely need a vehicle as the road is narrow and with many turns. There is a lovely grocery store beneath the villa and also a fabulous butcher shop. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the center of Sorrento. We had a 50th wedding celebration in Sorrento and Carmine went above and beyond to introduce us to Alessandra and between the both of them, we had a day never to be forgotten. If you are looking for a lovely villa which is spacious and very well maintained and away from the crowds, Villa Celentano should be on the top of your list. The Villa was much nicer than expected.

The villa was incredible value for money

The villa was incredible value for money, a lot cheaper than staying in a hotel. It is also incredibly spacious with a central lounge/ dining area and a swimming pool. Each bedroom is en-suite and the views are spectacular. Downstairs is a restaurant which we went to a few times as it was convenient and the food was amazing! The only downside about the villa was that it was quite drafty- this is probably welcomed in the heat of the summer but when we went at Easter it meant we had to wrap up in blankets at night. But a very minor problem! Another thing to consider if wanting to stay in this villa is that it is about 20 minutes up some small mountain roads - you would definitely need to be a confident driver to get there and back every day. But the advantage of this is that it is in a lovely little village with good views and out of the tourist traps. The owners were really friendly and welcoming too. The customer service and the quality of the property is the top.

Lovely villa, fantastic service

A group of 13 people comfortably stayed here for a week, visiting the area for a friends wedding. The owners and carmine were so helpful and nice. They were very accomodating to our needs as we had members of our party arriving on different days and staying for various durations. I would strongly suggest getting a hire car as the villa is up in the hills in the small town of ticciano. There is a very good small deli supermarket and a butchers but there is little else to do and exploring the area is a must, the drive down the narrow mountain roads can be abit hairy but totally worth the spectacular views and end destinations! Carmine organised transfers and taxis around the Naples and sorrento area, very reliable and reasonably priced. He also organised a boat trip to Capri, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. It worked out at around €50 each and was totally worth it! Carmine met us at the port and showed us to the boat, which was gorgeous, a touch of luxury! The boat driver (sailor?) went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our day..he made lunch reservations, stopped to take photos, and showed us local sights! I couldn't rate this trip enough! As for the villa, there was plenty of room for a large party, the facilities were adequate, the villa was clean and comfortable and suited our needs perfectly! Thank you to all at Naples villas for making our trip so enjoyable xx

Perfect stay

We stayed here in November and found the house to be simply perfect. The house is very well equipped and has everything that you could ever need during your stay. The location of the house is also wonderful as it is far away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and Amalfi Caost but close enough for you to explore all the local attractions. The house has also many en-suite bedrooms ideal for large families and groups. I would definitely recommend this house. Do not miss to ask the local manager to arrange the Italian Style meal at the villa. Just amazing. See you there soon.

Wonderful, spacious villa which offers value

My family and I enjoyed a fantastic new year break at this wonderful villa. It was excellent value for money with spacious, ensuite rooms, a large kitchen/ lounge and balcony. Also, we loved the location because it was not too far to Sorrento, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast etc. However we were away from the typical tourist traps which enabled us to get to know the locals and really emerse ourselves in the traditions and culture of Southern Italy. Whilst there, we even enjoyed 'living scenes' put on by locals dipicting Italian traditions in times gone by. The owners, Enza and her family, were warm and wecloming; nothing was too much trouble. They even provided us with complementary Christmas cakes and biscuits, which were delicous. We would highly recommend this villa for large families or groups of friends - it offers space and comfort at the right price. Thanks to everyone - see you again. Amy

Simply 5 Star!

Spent fortnight in Villa Celentano with a party of family and friends including two children and two teenagers. The villa provided fantastic accommodation for our group - there was privacy and separate facilities for everyone to have their own space. The outside areas were also great. Lovely pool with spectacular views of the mountains beyond and a lovely sun terrace with stunning vistas of the bay. The owner Ensa was very welcoming and provided us with lots of little treats - a welcoming drink, a huge limone pie and a lovely bottle of home made limoncello. We also made good friends with the café owners below (Vadopazzo Café) which provided us with many a fantastic meal and drinks, even home delivery of antipasti! The inhabitants of Ticciano were very friendly and welcoming to a bunch of Scottish tourists. We made good use of the wonderful butcher for BBQ foods and he minced beef for our bolognaise! The surrounding area so picturesque. We visited lots of places along the Amalfi coast, Pompeii, Capri etc and were there for a family wedding in Sorrento which was fantastic. Lastly, huge thank you to Carmine, the local contact, who organised lots of extras for us including boat trips, airport transfers and car hire for the wedding. He was extremely attentive and professional. Overall five stars for this villa and company. Looking forward to arranging next year's holiday with them!

Characterful Villa nestled in a beautiful village

What a wonderful villa! Easily accommodated the 11 of us who where there to celebrate my husbands 30th! A generous sized villa, very spacious and clean with everything you need to enjoy a week or two away The villa enjoys panoramic views a sheer beauty in all directions and the long terrace giving sun throughout the whole afternoon all the way through to sunset Ideally situated above the local pizzeria and local village shop, the local community were all very friendly and accommodating making our stay even more enjoyable The owner of the villa was also very helpful and close at hand if needed Booked villa through NaplesVillas and wasnt disappointed, exactly as described. A big thank you to both Alfonso who was my first point of contact concerning accommodating the group etc and to Carmine the event co-ordinator / property manager who made this trip so memorable arranging for excursions to Mount Vesuvius/Pompeii, a stunning exclusive Vineyard, a fantastic boat trip to Capri and a superb birthday celebratory meal cooked on site the first night of being there! Would recommend to anyone who wants relaxation in perfect surroundings just outside the hussle and bustle of a busy city centre of Naples, but close enough to the local town of Vico Equense a short drive or bus journey away

Stunning villa in idyllic location!

This was a holiday with both family and friends, a group of 9 people. From way before our arrival the communication with both Alfonso and Carmine was first class. To make life much easier Carmine suggested we call him after we'd picked up some groceries in the nearby town of Vico Equense, this went without issue and we were escorted in convoy to the villa. On our arrival day there was a heavy mist which caused the drive up the mountain to the villa to be a bit hair raising but worth it. The large villa is accessed through secure electric gates making it very safe for our children to play in the courtyard. The rooms are spacious but cosy. The open plan lounge and kitchen diner made the perfect area to cook, eat and relax. The large wrap around balcony offers stunning views of the village and both mountain and coastal scenery beyond! Some stunning sunsets were seen from here with a glass of local wine (€1.30 from the shop below). The pool is raised making it safer for the children (although we still had to construct a barrier from some of the sun loungers for the more determined youngsters in our group). We would have loved a dip in it however the water didn't get warm enough to brave it during our stay (but it was still early season). Next to the pool there is a wonderful area which catches the sun and with a BBQ which was perfect for dining al fresco. It was here that we spent what we all regard as our most memorable Easter Sunday. Easter which is a huge deal in Italy, was celebrated by the locals, church bells would ring out throughout the day and we ate the traditional local Easter cake Pastiera bought from the restaurant below, later one of the owners Ensa brought us a homemade one which was even more delicious! The villa is perfect for exploring all the local sights and attractions, we visited Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi and Naples, where if you do nothing else you MUST go to Da Michels for the best pizza in the world! The restaurant downstairs also do very good pizzas and made us some delicious pasta one evening when we returned late, tired and hungry! The chef and his wife are very welcoming and friendly! Finally the local shop is very reasonably priced and sells almost everything you could need, including lots of local produce. The butchers is equally as good! All in all we have just returned from one of the most fantastic, memorable holidays of our life, a huge thanks to all who were part of the experience!! :-)

The villa was spectacular

The place was just great . Carmine was exceptional with anything we needed as were the owners whom lived next door. The place was charming with a restaurant below where the people were so friendly with great food. We ate there every night. There was a market right there as well and got a few things for snacks. I would stay there again and recommend it to everyone . Lovely ! Thank you for a great time.

Lovely villa and pleasant stay

We were a party of 8 adults and 6 children looking for a nice place to stay near the Sorrento area. The service offered by Alfonso of Naples Villas was friendly, efficient and he was always on hand to answer any queries. We booked a week’s stay at Villa Celentano and we all thoroughly enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere, rustic surroundings and friendly hosts. From start to finish Enza, Gina, Tony and Angelo made sure our stay was a pleasant one. They are very generous hosts and Tony even went out of the way to pick us up from the town centre when some of us got stranded after missing the last bus home. The villa is clean and comfortable and the pool is larger than it looks. The villa is in a good location, the views are gorgeous and only a few meters away from the bus stop where there are daily buses to the town centre. There is a grocery shop where you can buy most of your groceries and a butchers just a few minutes’ walk away. Also if you are hungry there is a nice pizzeria for some delicious Pizza just round the corner. Even though we didn’t know the language everyone in the village was friendly and helpful We were well looked after by Carmine through whom we booked our trips to Capri Island, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast tour. He arranged everything for us and made sure we had a good time. In all I’m very happy with the service offered by Naples Villas and the entire party thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Celentano. I would highly recommend this villa if you are looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay in the Sorrento area. Thank you very much for making this such a memorable stay.
