Situated at the ground floor of a marble neoclassical building, the Acropolis Koukaki Loft has been completely renovated at the end of May 2018. It has a unique decoration that combines modern and classic style to make guests feel at home. Its additional advantage is its beautiful, quiet garden where guests can have their breakfast or enjoy a drink after a long walk.

The stylish loft has been fully equipped for every need. The spacious and luxurious living room includes a flat screen TV with satelite and cable channels including Netflix, a quality, big, sofa that can be used as a single bed, a fully equipped kitchen with all the cooking amenities, including a toast maker, a sandwich maker, a mixer, a squeezer, pots and pans of all sizes, coffee, tea, olive oil etc. The sitting area includes a working station, a mini-bar and an expandable sofa bed with a new quality mattress that can be turned into a comfortable double bed or two single beds. The bathroom has a first aid kit and free toiletries. At the upper floor, the double bed has a new quality mattress and big closets with many hangers. All mattresses and pillows are covered in protectors and high quality linen and towels have been chosen. Free high speed Wi-Fi is provided at all areas.

The Acropolis Koukaki Loft is located at 46 Zacharitsa st. at the picturesque Koukaki area. The metro station Syggrou-Fix is 400m away. The area is well connected by metro, trolley buses, buses, trams-which can take you to the lovely Athenian beaches as well as taxis which can take you everywhere at very affordable prices. The nearest aiport is the Elefthérios Venizélos Airport and the nearest big port is the Port of Pireaus. There is free private parking on-site which can be availiable to you upon request.

Cycling in Athens

Can we give Ioli 6 stars please? Great communication - lovely flat. We were able to bring the rented bikes into a safe environment. After cycling all day it was nice to come back and have a beer and glass of wine in the courtyard -so quiet! Nice to have coffee machine and coffee. Beds are comfortable. Loads to eat close by.. traditional bar with pool across the road. Think we will be back… Thanks Ioli!!

Had a really great stay here. First time to Athens and in a heatwave. The apartment was perfect for our family, two young kids shared the big sofa bed. Apartment was well equipped and in an excellent location. 15 min walk to Acropolis and museums, 3 min walk to pedestrian street with local restaurants. Friendly neighbourhood cats. Host, Ioli, was wonderful. Very quick to reply and was on site to welcome us arriving at 10pm. Highly recommend.

What a find!

Super property and amazingly friendly and helpful host who went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed, including fresh fruit & biscuits for the boy and wine for mama. Loved the size and amenities - lofted bedroom (in addition to pull-out bed), garden, and even an ARCADE MACHINE! My 10-year-old was delighted by all three. Metro/tram station about 10mins away, plus a few supermarket options and two pedestrian streets with several cafes/restaurants/bars, which we very much enjoyed. Tips: Bring a set of slippers or thick socks for chilly marble floor and metal spiral staircase. Buy a multi-day travel pass (easy to do from the ticket machines at any subway station), which gives you easy, unlimited access to any form of city transport: metro, bus, or tram. Jump on the tram at the Sygrou-Fix station for a fun, short trip to Syntagma in one direction, or the beach (EDEN stop) in the other direction. The beach was a delightful surprise - even better than some of the islands, and way less hassle. For insanely delish and decadent breakfast/brunch, head to ROKA. Deconstructed bougatsa...in pancake form?! Yes, please! For delicious, filling gyros at a bargain price and speedy service (sit in or takeaway), check out nearby Kalyvas Family Grill.

Great stay

What an amazing loft apartment in the heart of Athens! Travelled with my 3 young adult children. The place was spacious for all of us. We really loved to hang out in the garden to relax. The location couldn’t be better to visit Acropolis and neighboring sites. Ioli was a great host who helped us with dinner reservations and taxi to the airport. Highly recommend

Great place to stay in superb location

We recently stayed at the Acropolis loft with a garden for 3 nights in October. Ioli was very welcoming and knowledgable of the area, with great recommendations near to the loft. We arrived later in the evening than was originally expected and was checked in by Ioli herself, with lots of information and no fuss!! The lot itself is so well equipped. Our son (and us) loved the Miss PacMan game and the small touches of breakfast items for our first day were so helpful. It was a perfect start to our short stay in Athens, after 3 weeks offgrid on Kythira. The location was spot on, an easy walk to the Acropolis, safe area and full of interesting shops, cafes and places to eat! We really Loved it. Thanks to Ioli for her hospitality and lovely loft for us to stay! We will definitely be back next time we are in Greece. Highly recommended!!!

Wonderful Stay in Athens!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay on in this well-appointed apartment. Ioli, the host, was extremely welcoming, and excellent communicator, informed of us of all the local restaurants, events, and places to visit during our stay. The loft-style apartment had everything that we needed and more - and looks and feels as advertised. It is extremely spacious, the bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked well, and the hot shower was fantastic! The outdoor courtyard was very quiet and peaceful and made for relaxing morning lounging with our coffee. The property is conveniently located very close to Plaka and the Acropolis (10 minute walk) and many of the historical sites and museums in the city. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this apartment to couples and small families when visiting Athens.

VRBO in Athens

The apartment was awesome! It was very spacious and very clean! The location was in walking distance to many attractions (Acropolis, Plakka, Syntagma Square). Our host iloli was amazing!!! She answered every text in record time before and during our trip. She is very friendly. She gave us wonderful recommendations and “tips.” This is the place to stay!!!! We had a fabulous time!!

Great stay in Koukaki

Ioli’s loft apartment is very comfortable and well placed in the city. Local streets are quieter with great coffee shops and restaurants nearby, but the apartment is only a 10 minute walk from all the busy Acropolis surrounding areas (Plaka). Ioli had some great recommendations and was very quick to respond to requests.

Athens summer stay

We had a wonderful stay in Ioli's Koukaki Luxury Loft. Some explanation about my full star rating: - location: Koukaki is not the most touristy central district in Athens but it works to it's advantage. It is very close to the main attraction in Athens (a 5 to 10 minutes walk to the Acropolis entrance and Acropolis museum) and close enough to most vibrant districts (Plaka, Psiri) which are located around the acropolis. At the same time, it is close to restaurants that I feel are more authentic than those you will find in Plaka and also cheaper. - Check in process and communication with property manager: Ioli is a great host, she was very friendly and helpful with us! The property is really spacious which was really great for our family and young children. It contrasts with some properties that are highly optimized for space and try to cram as many beds as possible. We really appreciated that aspect, especially in a busy capital city such as Athens. We really recommend this property, it really made our stay unique and memorable!

Extremely clean, wonderful host, great location

This apartment was perfect for our my husband and me and our two adult children. Walkable to Philopappos Hill and monument for an unforgettable sunset. Wonderful local cafes and restaurants nearby. Ioli provided breakfast foods for us, including juice in the refrigerator. We enjoyed the patio in the evenings and appreciated the immaculately clean lodging for our short, two night stay.

Great way to visit Athens

Location of the loft is perfect. Walking distance to everything there is to visit. Even more though, the loft itself is beautiful and very comfortable. Open and airy feeling, and tastefully decorated. Host is amazing. Personal check in, breakfast items and drinks provided. It could not have been a better experience. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Athens.

Perfectly Located, Amazing Hosts, and a Delightful Stay!**

We had the pleasure of staying at this VRBO in the heart of Athens, and it exceeded all of our expectations! The location is unbeatable, just a 20-minute walk to the Acropolis entrance, and key sites, and mere minutes away from fantastic restaurants, especially those serving to-die-for breakfasts. The hosts, Maria and Ioli, were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Maria, a history teacher, was our go-to for any questions about Greek history, enriching our stay with fascinating insights. They provided us with guidebooks, excellent recommendations, and were always responsive to our queries on WhatsApp. Former guests have left recommendations for future guests - so don't forget to leave your recommendations. The apartment itself was well-stocked - Ioli kindly provided us with fresh fruit, juices, water, and various breakfast foods and snacks. This was especially appreciated as we were tired from our travels and it allowed us to relax and recharge without needing to venture out immediately. This VRBO truly felt like a home away from home. We can't recommend it enough and will definitely be back on our next trip to Athens!

We booked this apartment at the beginning and end dates of our vacation. Host goes out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. We appreciated the cold water in the fridge, snacks and wine that she left for us. Parking is easy as they reserve a spot in front of the apartments for guests. Great location and very secure building. There's an amazing farmer's right by the house on Fridays. Easy walk to the Plakka and Acropolis.

Amazing stay

The host is so wonderful. She had great communications from the beginning and throughout. She allowed us to check in early once the apartment was ready. Apartment is very cute and has everything a family needs. Lots of nice touches that you don't have in other properties. Location is amazing. 7 minute walk to the Acropolis and Plakka. Slept 5 people comfortably. Great find in the middle of the city.
