We enjoyed our stay, owner was very friendly and let us check in early since we got to town earlier than expected. The house was clean and the listing was accurate.
We would stay again. Thank you for sharing your home with us for the week!
This was an excellent VRBO stay for our summer vacation. The depth at the dock was perfect for our 23' runabout...and the mooring whips were fantastic! Thank you! Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, and best of all: EVERY piece of furniture in the cabin was comfortable! Two sofas, two recliners, and another cushy chair with ottoman. SO nice!!! Walker Bay is clean and deep. The trail is right off the driveway. When we come next time, we will bring a card table for puzzle builidng. Craig was great to work with (he lives next door to the property).
The property was fantastic and private. It offers phenomenal views of Leech Lake and multiple species of wildlife. Fishing for Walkeye, Northern, Bass, Perch and Crappie was excellent. Large driveway was great as we had 4 vehicles and one boat/trailer. Plenty of room on the large deck and we had multiple cookouts in the evening. Neighborhood is excellent for dog walking with friendly neighbors. We hiked into downtown Walker exactly 2.1 miles on beautiful hiking trail and launched our boat downtown at Walker Park. House has everything you need for a great vacation.Definitely will be coming back again.
This property was so convenient. Easy access to town, right on the bike trail and the shore was pretty much just off the deck. The home was spacious and well stocked. 90+ degrees each day, we were thankful for the window AC units at night. The owners were easy to communicate with.
Once again, we had another enjoyable stay on Leech Lake! We love the quiet and peacefulness of this property and the views from the deck and picture windows cannot be beat. The trail right outside the door is a major plus for walks and you can even walk to town. We can't wait to come back again next year.
Spent a week at this property and it was fabulous!! The place was super clean and the owners were very accommodating and willing to help if we needed anything. Highly recommend this property if you want a nice relaxing and fun filled vacation on the lake!!
We enjoyed our stay so much that we have rebooked for next year! The location of the home is great, less than two miles from town and right on the Heartland Trail. We especially loved the large deck with beautiful views of the lake. The owner, Craig, is right next door and very responsive to anything we needed. Highly recommend!
We loved our stay at Craig and Marianne’s place! We utilized the trails for walks and bike rides, rented a pontoon boat to explore the water, and relaxed in the cabin and on the deck. It was a relaxing and fun week full of beautiful views!
The cabin was super clean and has everything you need for your stay. Great location close to the town of Walker and a short distance from various state parks.
Whether you are visiting Leech Lake for the fishing or the view, this place is top notch on the list for stays. I myself along with my father and groomsmen visited Leech Lake for a weekend of fishing. Craig was able to give us some great heads up on the lake and where to be going! The powered dock below the house is great for leaving your boat in over night, otherwise the input is a mile down the road! Short and easy! We arrived right at sunrise and the view to the east from inside the living rooms or from the deck was just spectacular. The house was spotless, beds clean, even sports a fire pit out back if you go in the cooler months! Bar none, one of my best stays to date!!
The home is very spacious and comfortable, even the beds! The view is second to none from inside the house or relaxing on the large deck. Swimming off the dock works best as shoreline is rocky. Our pontoon had sea legs so it was very easy to boat in and out from the property. Super close to town for convenience. Great neighbors and a nice quiet area. The listing says there are air conditioners in the bedrooms but there were only ceiling fans. Luckily we had great weather and it wasn’t too hot so the home stayed a very comfortable temperature. The listing also says washer and dryer but there were none. It wasn’t an issue for us as we had packed plenty of clothes and Marianne provided plenty of towels. Top notch experience!!
We loved every minute of our stay here. The cabin has all the amenities we needed and the owners were so hospitable. The lake was beautiful and the location was perfect. So close to Walker. Would highly recommend staying here and hope to be back soon.
Home was ideal for what we wanted. We wanted a quiet place outside of town but close enough to walk/bike in. The home was on the lake with your own dock for fishing or just sitting in a floaty. Great place for watching & hearing the wildlife as well. It has a good kitchen with all the appliances you need and two living rooms, one with a gas fireplace. Craig and Marianne, the owners, were terrific. They met us at the house and answered all our questions. Really nice people! We would definitely stay again.
Convenient to town and other attractions. I wish the fishing would have been better off the dock. Overall a great vacation. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.
The location is perfect, the owners are very friendly, and the home is very nice! We will absolutely stay again!

Ice Fishing On Leech Lake Walker Bay
Craig and Marianne were great hosts. Even though they live next door they were pretty hands off but were available immediately when we needed anything, which worked perfectly for us. The house had plenty of room for 6 guys to use as home base in between going in and out fishing and snowmobiling. There are trails right outside the front door and lake access to Walker Bay about 1/4 mile down the road. It's a great place at a great price. 100% would recommend.

Why they chose this property
We have always loved our location on the Bay and could not pass on the opportunity to purchase the home next door.
What makes this property unique
The house is located only 40 feet from the water on the lakeside and on the backside of the property is the Paul Bunyan bike and snowmobile trail. The views of the Bay from the deck, living rooms, and master bedroom are spectacular, you are practically right on the water. The home is in a rural residential setting and only two miles by trail or road to all the activities of Walker and the Leech Lake area.
