5 ⭐️ gite. Absolutely immaculate. A perfect place to relax and unwind. Craig and Caroline are fabulous hosts. Very informative about the area and they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.
If its peace and quiet you are after, this is the place for you. However, still plenty of interesting places to visit in the surrounding area.
We most certainly will be returning.
You couldn’t fail to be impressed by the cleanliness and overall presentation of this property. A delight to stay in and we were made very welcome by two excellent hosts, Craig and Caroline who were very attentive when required and nothing was too much bother for them. The property is well situated within easy reach of numerous pretty towns and villages, with plenty of things to do. We loved our week spent in this lovely house and we will definitely return!
The farmhouse was very clean, well equipped and perfect for a relaxing stay. Craig and Caroline were super hosts. They are very knowledgeable about the local area and helped ensure we visited great markets, both in the day for browsing and in the evenings for lovely meals and great entertainment.
This accommodation has been very nicely renovated, is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It's in a very peaceful location, perfect for visiting lots of places of interest nearby.
The owners thoughtfully provided a few extras which you might not expect in your holiday home. We were welcomed with fresh bread, pastries, fruit juice, milk, butter, home produced eggs and a bottle of wine!
We really enjoyed our short stay and hope to return in the future.
We highly recommend this property.
A wonderful gite, beautifully appointed, and situated in a very tranquil location. It was very well-equipped to a high standard and provided everything we needed for our stay. Craig and Caroline were very welcoming and excellent hosts. Our stay passed all too quickly but we plan to return in the near future to continue exploring this beautiful area.
The gite and its facilities (swimming pool, BBQ) are all maintained to a very high standard. Everything you could wish for is provided. The location is ideal for access to the Bastide towns, the Dordogne river and a whole lot of other interesting attractions. The owners could not be more helpful with matters relating to the gite and in recommending local restaurants, shops etc.. We would thoroughly recommend Cote de Cor to couples and families. We will certainly be back again.

The Gite is perfect in every detail and our hosts were very friendly, helpful and hospitable.
The Gite is very well located specifically for complete peace and quiet in beautiful countryside and generally for the many sights and places of interest in this part of the Dordogne.

Warm, welcoming hosts and a beautiful peaceful location
This is a hotel standard property in a picturesque setting, close to beautiful medieval villages. We had a great 2 weeks and left feeing relaxed and restored. Craig and Caroline were instrumental to making this a great holiday - booking restaurants, activities and making recommendations.

A home from home in a tranquil spot
From before we arrived at La Cote de Cor until the moment we checked out, our whole holiday was perfect. Communication was spot on, we knew what time we could check in and directions were ideal. Craig and Caroline greeted us and showed us around: the gite itself was spotless and well equipped to a really modern, high standard with goodies in the fridge. Absolutely everything was provided (even a Samsung washing machine which we made good use of so we didn't have to do it all when we got home!). We cooked from scratch every night and had everything we needed - we made good use of the barbecue too. The private pool was an absolute godsend and we used it every day.
We had a fierce storm a few days into our holiday which meant we had a power cut but we were so well looked after with bags of candles, a cool box for our perishables and a bottle of wine :-) As a result, the WiFi went down for the rest of our time, which Craig and Caroline were hugely apologetic about, but it really wasn't an issue and in fact added to the relaxed vibe of our whole holiday. Our parasols broke in the storm too but within a few hours they'd been returned, fixed and ready to use again.
Craig and Caroline were so approachable and we really enjoyed having them just across the lane for a chat and to hear about the locals. Their cat Tuli hopped over the wall every evening for a cuddle :-)
We explored the local area a lot and highly recommend Sarlat, Beynac, Limeuil, Bergerac, Domme and the gardens of Marqueyssac.
The day after we got back we booked up again for next year; we're not quite ready to leave this beautiful place behind!

The facility was immaculate. Everything we’d hoped for and more.
The property was part of a beautifully restored old farm building that had been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. It’s quiet rural location was perfect for getting away from the stresses of living/working in or near a city. We literally saw more jet vapour trails above us than cars go by the gite. Once we’d managed to stir ourselves and leave the lovely pool (the weather was very warm) it was ideally situated to visit some of the many joys the region has to offer. Some of the bastide towns are not to be missed. The Dordogne is simply stunning.
Everything was perfect and just what was needed but for us the highest praise must go to Caroline and Craig who made the holiday extra special. They really are so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much bother. Definitely the right people for the job 😊. Thank you so much. Mike and Geraldine.

Exceptional accommodation and location
We've just returned from a 2 week stay with our children and can't rate La Cote de Cor highly enough. The location is very peaceful and private but easily accessible for days out and the facilities at the gite are exceptional and very well maintained. No hesitation in returning, it was a wonderful location for our holiday.

A first class gite in perfect countryside
We had a most enjoyable holiday in this beautiful gite. The accommodation was to a very high standard, tastefully restored and decorated, with a lovely pool and perfect in every way.
Its location is ideal for exploring some very pretty villages and bastide towns and also for beautiful country walks. The nearest village of Saint Avit Senieur has two very good restaurants only a few minutes drive away.
Craig and Caroline are lovely people, always ready to make your stay as comfortable as possible and help with local knowledge if needed.

Top quality accommodation in a beautiful location
The property was the best we have stayed in in 9 years of holidaying in the south/south west of France. It had a lovely pool two good size bedrooms and bathrooms and a fitted kitchen with a dishwasher/washing machine a real home from home
The outside space with picnic tables and a hammock was well landscaped and was lovely to explore.
Finally Craig and Caroline are really nice people nothing was too much trouble and they have created a great environment for you to enjoy would recommend highly.

About the host
Hosted by Craig & Caroline Denholm
Originally from the UK, Caroline and Craig holidayed in France for several years; returning again and again. They fell in love with The Dordogne and finally decided to take the plunge and move there permanently. Having found their dream home in a converted barn, they used all their experience to transform the neighbouring farm house into delightful holiday accommodation.
Why they chose this property
The cottage has been beautifully restored to give comfortable modern accommodation that retains the traditional charm of an old stone built farm house. It has been completely re-designed and provides self-contained accommodation with two pools, terraces and BBQ areas. Tastefully decorated and furnished throughout, the cottage provides the perfect holiday retreat and base to explore the stunning Dordogne.
