Chilled cottage and grounds

The cottage was absolutely spotless and well equipped..It was such a chilled weekend and the grounds are beautiful for a walk.. The owner Lorna I met whilst walking and a such a lovely woman … We will be back

Shangri-La in Karridale

Amazing accommodation at the Country Comfort Cottage in Karridale. The house was super clean when we got there. The garden surrounds are in impeccable condition. Every window provides a panoramic view of gorgeous countryside and a huge area to explore and walk the dog. The standard of the facilities and the cottage itself was 10/10. Highly recommended...oh and the host is awesome.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage and grounds.

Beautiful gardens with beautiful bush wrens and wildlife, plenty of space for family dog's to run around. Close to the Hamilon bay beach ⛱️. Close Karridale Tavern which is great atmosphere.

Picturesque Cottage

We liked everything about this place. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. The garden is beautifully organised with many native plants. Our dog enjoyed staying there too. It's so quiet and restful. Thank you Lorna for a lovely weekend stay!

So relaxing

Such a beautiful little cottage !! Our goal was to relax and we certainly did . Watching the wild life and weather roll in around us with the large open windows . Even though we had everything we could possibly need Lorna still touch base to see if there was anything we needed to make our stay more enjoyable . I could not recommend a stay more than this one . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful Cottage

We had an amazing stay. The images of the cottage does not do it justice and the grounds are amazing. So much bird life. Just what we needed to get away from our busy lives. Thanks again Lorna for making our weekend stay wonderful.

Beauty Spot

The property was in a most idyllic location and the wildlife especially the bird life was wonderful. The cottage was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities required for a most comfortable stay. Wished we had longer and no doubt will be back.

Abundant nature

Lovely surrounds with abundant wildlife. Was so relaxing and peaceful. Nice walks with the dog although she did want to chase the bunnies so definitely needs to stay on the lead. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful hideaway…

My partner and I think this is the best accommodation we’ve stayed at in WA. The stone cottage, located on the edge of the Boranup forest, is very private and picture perfect. We saw lots of birds including splendid fairy wrens, spotted pardalotes, scrub wrens, silver eyes, plus ring necked parrots and New Holland honeyeaters. We would love to come back!

Karridale getaway

An absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish. Cottage was exactly as presented online, with everything we required for our stay. Location was perfect for exploring the local area and beyond. A perfect piece of paradise.

My stay at Country Comfort Cottage was everything and more than I expected. The grounds are stunningly beautiful, with many trees, shrubs and flowering plants, so many birds! The cottage is gorgeous, very well kitted out and scrupulously clean. Such a pleasure to just sit on the patio with my dog, watch the birds and let the serenity wash over me. Lorna is a wonderful host and I will definitely be going back as often as I can.

This little piece of paradise is the best stress reliever and ultimate relaxer. Music of multiple bird species is truly something. Native flora around cottage is so beautiful. Love this place so much and will return again and again.

My name is Lorna have lived and loved this area since moving here in 1979. Partner and I built our home from rocks and mud bricks and both being artistic loved the opportunity it gave to express this creative side of us The cottage was built many years later from the same rocks as a studio, later converted into a short stay accommodation This allowed us to share this beautiful place with others and to encourage an awareness of the need to nurture and preserve the beauty of the surrounding country . we built only one to maintain the peaceful and secluded feel of nature that comes with being here

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

we bought this property after the fire in 1962 burnt out the timber mill that originally was established to cut and send Karri timber to pave the streets of London . No one wanted to live here any more and there were only a handful of residents living here at that time . It was during the era of alternative lifestyles and getting back to the land we jumped at the opportunity to create something . It was a magical place combining ocean forests and river systems . I fell in love with it instantly

This area offers the best nature can provide in breathtaking scenery and oceans tall forests with its unique smell So many birds and an area with the greatest numbers of diverse species . the night sky is absolutly breathtaking nothing like it in the world . It was a fresh canvas too to build a house something my partner and I had never done to build a life that nurtured and protected the environment while we lived in it
