Enjoy this stunningly designed and superbly appointed 3bedroom retreat located only a short stroll away from the famous (but usually deserted) Culburra Beach.

Everything about this designer home-away-from-home is about the unwinding and indulging. Enjoy the new Wifi internet just installed, DVD collection, delve into a novel on the couch, relax to your favourite music floating room to room from a bluetooth speaker or sit back and savour a rich, steaming coffee from the quality espresso machine. Hungry? Sizzle up a good old barbie out back on our expansive hardwood decking. Thirsty? The mohitos go down a treat as you sink back on the deck chairs on a blue sky day.

Venturing from the Retreat, days are all about swimming, snorkeling, surfing and whale watching. Of course, it may simply be about lazing on the golden sands with a good book. Only 200 meters away, the impressive 3km-long Culburra Beach is your second backyard and offers a great playground for your whole family or even your beloved pets (yes, we're dog friendly as is the beach).

Culburra Retreat, in this sleepy town of Culburra on the central NSW South coast, is the place to unwind for anyone who needs a break to remember. And come back to time and again.

The best of the best

We keep coming back every year as this property is truly special. It’s our family’s happy place. For starters, David is the most personable, generous and relaxed host. He is a pleasure to deal with. The property itself is stylishly appointed and is wonderfully equipped for both cooking and relaxing. The ever changing stack of high end recipe books are my favourite feature! Location wise, it is a perfect base for the nearby beachfront. My pets couldn’t have been happier as there were no finicky rules and they were truly welcomed as part of our family. Dog bowls and poo bags were even provided. We will be back again next year :-) Thanks again David.

Mums 60th

The property was perfect for a wekeend away fo celebrate my mums 60th. Other family stayed at the caravan park which was only a few minutes away so we could visit each other. The kids could come to the house and play in the back yard and it was a short walk to the beach. The backyard was perfect for the dogs to run around and enjoy the sun. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

Comfortable, spacious and great location!

My family had a wonderful stay here. Such a great quiet location, just a short walk from the beach and the shops. The house was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed for the week. The kids LOVED the table tennis table and dart board - kept them occupied for hours! Thank you :)

Culburra Retreat

Great house only a short walk from the dog friendly beach. We had a lovely time with our 2 dogs they loved the big back yard, The house has everything that you need and it's also only a short walk to the shops and some great places to eat.

Great little beach shack

We had a lovely week in Culburra - the house is small but has everything you need. We are a family of 4 with a dog and the beach is so close that you can hear the waves from the backyard deck. David was super quick to respond when I had a query and the kids had a great time swinging in the hammock and playing ping pong in the garage.

Beach holiday

We loved our week in Culburra. The house was exactly as it had been described. So close to the beach which was one of our priorities when booking. Fantastic enclosed garden for our dog so we knew he was safe and happy when we were out. Love the garden and deck. Thank you

Nice property near beach

Miscommunication with cleaner meant we had to wait to check in cleaner could clean the place but owner was very responsive to sorting it out. Overall nice stay for family and doggie

Cute Culburra Beach house

We had such a great time, the kids loved the beach was in walking distance. Our dog just loved running around on the beach. The house is lovely, decked out with everything you need for a perfect family holiday. Walking distance to food coffee and food. Thank you for having us - we will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay

The house was charming with its retro furnishings and lovely styling throughout offering many touches for a very comfortable stay for the family and fur baby. The fully fenced backyard is a good size and we enjoyed relaxing on the back deck in between playing table tennis each afternoon. The beach, only a short stroll away, is really beautiful and dog friendly too making our stay fun for all. Thanks for having us at your lovely property, we would love to visit again.

Great house

This house was great it was very clean, I stayed with my adult daughter and our Spoodle Cleo. Cleo loved the backyard and the beach close by. I loved the place and will stay again and highly recommend it to anybody wanting to stay in Culburra Beach area.

Great all round property!

We enjoyed our time at the property. It’s presented very well - clean, light and bright, spacious. Kids loved the table tennis table and hammock and the adults loved the coffee machine. Short walk to dog friendly beach, and also close to shops - eg. Woolies. We spent a bit of time exploring other beaches south of Culburra, which is a bit of a roundabout 30-45 minute drive. All in all we loved our time at the property - great beach house!

Relaxing family holiday

We spent a lovely week at Culburra Beach. The house was easy and as per the listing. Clean, comfy beds, good kitchen facilities. The back yard is well contained and provided plenty of space for our 2 little dogs. My only suggestion would be that a fan or air conditioning in the living areas would be great to take the edge off those hot summer afternoons, but the cool sea breeze does certainly help already. We'd love to come again.

Disappointed

It was OK, but shabby. The barbecue old and rusty, (its cover lying on the ground) - unappetizing. The garden plots full of overgrown lawn weeds over a foot tall. Lawn dry and unwatered. Inside everything pretty basic, but nice smart TV and Coffee machine. The place had not been well cleaned, and I noticed I was charged a lot for cleaning in my own bill. The outdoor lounge was broken, the top part could not be supported as bar had broken off. My husband drove to Bunnings in Nowra, and back to get 2 screws to fix it. The house is not on the beach - its a block back. Yes an easy walk, but the photos were misleading in the ad. One cold night I needed to put a heater on - as I touched it one end wheel fell off. It had just been propped up, and left standing there! Red 70's style sofa very uncomfortable to lie out on to read a book, or watch TV. View from the deck at the back was of a huge shed and two roller doors. Hardly picturesque, or easy on the eye. The whole deck needs a cover of some kind. Nothing relaxing about this place. Tried ringing David from Day ONE, but he never returned calls or texts. We left 2 days early and finally I got to speak to him. He said he was very proud of the house. I said it doesnt look like it. Angry and disappointed but made the best of it for 4 days. The area of Culburra Beach very suburban and full of weekenders - we found prettier beaches further south like Huskisson, Calllala, Honeymoon Bay, and day trip to Berry was lovely. Then just wanted to go home to much greater comfort, pleasant surroundings, a weeded garden and a barbecue that I dared cook on!
