Winter getaway

Property had great facilities, was very clean and in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay even with the rain pouring all weekend we were toasty with the fireplace! We were a little confused with where we were and weren't permitted with our fur babies as the property was pet friendly but the national park wasn't.

Karri Tree Wonderland

What an incredible location. From the moment you pull into the drive and the forest lights up, you know you are for a special stay. As you sit out on the porch, the concert of the birdsong fills the air. The quaint cottage fits perfectly in the environment and is very welcoming. Access to forest walks in the local area, and with so many National Parks just a short, you won’t be short on opportunity to fill your days. This is an excellent location to explore throughout the Southern Forests.

Loved this place

The property was even better than expected. Well appointed, comfortable, private, quaint and delightful. We and our two dogs were so happy there we had to request an additional night as we didn't want to leave.

Hidden costs & false advertising

Karri Tree Cottage was in a lovely location, however the Stayz advertisement states that it was a house in Pemberton, not Quinninup. The Stayz listing also said that there would be wifi available however it was not working, nor was the Xbox working. Unusually there were no sponges/dish clothes available to do dishes. The house was adorned in unusual decor, including racist paraphernalia in the form of a poster of a 'golliwog' doll, which we found very inappropriate. Furthermore, the advertised cost of the property is based on 2 people, which is misleading considering the house is advertised as housing 6 people. I think the extra $30 per person per night is an absurd additional cost, and that is far too much to cover any additional amenities that may be used. Finally, I received an e-mail from the property owner after I paid for the property, stating that linen was not included and would cost an additional $20 per person. Once again this was not listed on the Stayz listing and is a fairly unreasonable additional cost. Overall we had a nice stay as the area was nice and in the forest, however the false advertising was the biggest problem.

Just what we wanted - a quiet week end away

If you want a quiet, relaxing get away close to nature, this property is perfect for you. We came in winter but the fire place combined with the reverse cycle kept us very warm and cosy. A gorgeous little 'town' with a big lake and a perfect little country pub for a relaxing afternoon wine. Came home feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Lovely peaceful property

Very much enjoyed our stay at Karri tree cottage, the house is very well situated for touring the region, or just relaxing in quinninup itself, the lake walks are great. The cottage is very well equipped but you will need to bring supplies as there are no shops, we will definitely stay here again and our dogs loved it too. Beautiful birds and cute visitors make this place special.

Excellent Property

We absolutely loved Karri Tree Cottage. What a GEM in the heart of the forest and near Karri Lake. The house had everything you could possibly need. The dogs were welcome and they loved it. The bird life was fantastic and I loved filling the bird baths up each day and sitting with a glass of wine watching them of an arvo/evening. So relaxing and tranquil. Will be back for sure.

We loved Karri Cottage ! Clean, comfortable and in such a beautiful setting. Only sounds were the birds. Loved lazing in the hammock and dining at night underneath fairy lights!

Home away from Home

This is the best kept secret in the South West. We have stayed at quite a few cottages before but this is by far the nicest. So big and comfortable with every amenity you could wish for.

Quiet and Peaceful

This cottage is a classic example of older style housing. Spacious and comfortable but lacking the modern style bathroom. The parrots were gorgeous and the kids really enjyed the x-box. Great base for exploring Pemberton and the surrounding area.

Hi BradThe few days we spent in Karri Tree Cottage were great. It was like a home away from home in a beautiful setting. It was one of the best set up and comfortable holiday properties we have stayed at, and we have stayed at a lot of beautiful properties throughout WA. We have pencilled Karri Tree Cottage in for another stay sometime soon.RegardsAndrew

I thought the property was well appointed. It was clean and there was enough kindling for the fire (which most places forget). The area set out to make a fire outside was great and my older boys loved it. There were enough blankets and plenty of hot water which is always great. I didn't like the clear glass window on the shower. I felt that it was not private enough even though I knew no one could see me, it made me and my oldest boy feel very uncomfortable. I also did not like the shower itself. The water spray was fine but every time I tried to give my little ones a bath I found it very awkward that I had to reach right in under the shower to turn the water on. I felt the house was a little over priced for what it was but that said we had a really great time there.

Cosy & comfortable

We loved our stay at Karri Tree Cottage. Extensive check in instructions were provided & we had everything we needed at the house. Bring anything you want to cook/eat/drink and you'll never have to leave. The rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable and everyone, 2 & 4 legged, had a sensational sleep every night. We would definitely book this gem of a cottage again.

Disappointed

We were very excited after having booked such a lovely looking place. That look well maintained and pretty secluded. But on arrival we found houses very close on each side, the pictures on stayz didn’t look current to the state of the property when we arrived. The decking was pulling up or felt kinda flimsy (rotted) in places, the stairs didn’t quite feel safe. The furniture outside was falling apart or probably infested with something (we didn’t even try to sit outside). The flooring inside is incredibly squeaky, the guest bed was quite short ( I’m 5’6 and my feet hung a little over the bottom ). There were cobwebs and dust everywhere that wasn’t a normally used surface (which as an asthmatic triggered several episodes) the place doesn’t seem to have been looked after much. Sadly I would not recommended this property for anyone who expects a higher standard of accommodation and cleanliness
