Reabierto como B & B en 2012, Sweet Briar in the Vines es una casa de piedra original de principios de siglo, recientemente renovada y ubicada en el Viñedo Sweet Briar, sede de O'DWYER WINES

La ubicación es ideal: a solo unos minutos en auto al norte de la ciudad de Clare, con el Riesling Trail que pasa por la entrada a la propiedad y las pintorescas vistas al campo en todas direcciones.

La casa se compone de 3 dormitorios-1 King y 2 Queen, con un anexo de una de las reinas, que contiene 2 literas para niños.

Una cocina-comedor de estilo rústico es el centro de esta pintoresca casa de campo todavía espacioso que fluye a una terraza arbolada - ideal para barbacoas y entretenimiento al aire libre.

La sala de estar / comedor recientemente añadido es muy amplia, con inversión de ciclo de aire acondicionado y cuenta con una estufa de leña - perfecto para disfrutar de agradables noches con una copa de vino de la tierra.

Hay dos baños recientemente renovadas, cuidadosamente restauradas en el período y el estilo de la casa ..

Todas las comodidades del hogar - Ubicado en el corazón de la región vinícola del valle de Clare.

Una cesta de desayuno disposiciones será dejada para que usted pueda cocinar y preparar a su leisure..Breakfast en el idílico entorno de la zona de comedor al aire libre antes de salir a explorar el valle.

Hay una cocina totalmente equipada y barbacoa para cocinar "en casa" fácil para usted. A su llegada, como parte de su paquete de bienvenida, encontrará una botella de nuestro propio vino O'Dwyer de nuestro viñedo: café, té, etc., también están disponibles para su disfrute.

Sweet Briars

A lovely property that was perfect for a multi-family catch up. The garden was beautiful as was the house set in the quiet vineyards. We had everything we needed and the host was very accommodating to our requests. Will definitely be back!

Friends weekend

Group of 5 lifelong friends spending a weekend together. Location was peaceful and property was as stated, 4.5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We chose to move mattress from Leanto bedroom as it was a very hot weekend and room was very stuffy.Breakfast was toast and cereal, which was not as expected or per previous reviews. 5 people, 1 packet of bread and small packs of cereal for 2 night stay was disappointing. Lovely bottle of red left for us which was appreciated.Clare taxi service were fabulous to deal with, pick up and drop back home allowed each of us to enjoy a night out, make sure you book.Overall we had a fabulous weekend but some consideration to what is expected from paying visitors versus “cost” to property owner should be given.

Great Cottage secluded in the Clare Valley

Extremely roomy 'cottage' with 4 sizeable bedrooms and 2 large bathrooms. The kitchen is fantastic with a large Agar oven, plenty of cupboards that store everything that you could ever possibly need. Kitchen doors open onto a porch with a lovely timber dining setting along with an efficient Weber BBQ. The beds are extremely comfortable along with the cosy pillows & lovely linen. Living room is huge with 3 leather sofas and an armchair, large TV, aircon, wood heater as well as a marvellous 8 seater dining table. Cards, games & books are at your disposal too.We were a family of 4 staying here & would happily come back again.

Very nice home

Easy to locate not far from town that has excellent dining & shopping options & surrounded by vines. Beautiful decore, large bedrooms spacious lounge & dining, well appointed kitchen with quality linen & towels. Breakfast was yummy and ample. Our party of 4 enjoyed the space, with several outdoor seating areas to jyst relaxe.

The perfect retreat

4 good friends catching up in Clare Valley and the sweet briar cottage was perfect. Four very comfortable bedrooms, great kitchen and different areas to sit relax and catch up. Thank you Judith, the bottle of wine was delicious.

Great stay in Clare Valley

On our arrival there was no hot water but appeared that it had run out as it heated up overnight. Otherwise a very comfortable stay for 2 families- 7 all up.

Perfect winter getaway

Beautifully appointed house in a peaceful and picturesque location. Suited our family group of five adults very well. Loved the comfy couches, large dining table, and very generous provisions. Will definitely recommend to family and friends looking for a Clare Valley getaway.

It is very peaceful. Great facilities. Beds comfortable. Bathrooms lovely. Oven challenging to operate without instructions. TV was not straightforward to operate. But all in all very pleasant experience. Thank you.

What a beauty

Sweet Briar in the Vines was absolutely stunning. Everything about it was fabulous, we couldn’t find any faults. The generosity as far as providing breakfast, condiments and complimentary wine, and not to mention the accommodation itself are just a few of the stand outs. There was absolutely nothing we didn’t have at our fingertips. Well done to the owners.

Luxury accommodation among the vines

A most enjoyable stay

An excellent spacious house for a group to stay in, and the atmosphere of being amongst the vines is a bonus. On arrival we saw that Judith had provided a quality bottle of Shiraz for us to enjoy, and enjoy it we did. Of especial note was the kitchen, which was equipped way beyond our expectations, complete with ample egg and bacon supplies for breakfast. A perfect well positioned property for exploring the vineyards of Clare Valley and Martindale Hall.

Quiet vineyard escape

Beautiful original stone cottage, updated to a modern level of comfort. Super quiet and beautifully set up. Lots of spaces for sitting and enjoying a cup of tea or glass of wine, surrounded by trees and grapevines.

We are a couple who have lived abroad for a number years in various countries from Ireland , UK, France, Belgium to US and now settled in Australia since 2004. We love travel, good food, good wine, art, music, family, friends and fun!
We fell in love with Sweet Briar the moment we set eyes on it!
It has been a joy to spend time here over the years and our four kids have had such fun exploring the country side on many a happy holiday in Clare.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

On a family road trip around the south eastern corner of Australia shortly after our arrival here from the States, we stumbled upon Sweet Briar on an over night stay in Clare.
We didn't choose it- It chose us!
Couldn't get the cottage with its circular drive and wrap around verandas - quaint gardens and beautiful vineyard out of our minds.
A month later Sweet Briar was ours and we have enjoyed restoring and improving it ever since.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Not only was Sweet Briar an authentic piece of period architecture, being an original stone cottage with bull nose verandas , wisteria dripping from them and beautiful thick cottage walls, but this little gem was only a 5 minute drive into Clare town. All the peace and serenity of the remote country side , with the convenience of an easy drive into town.
Top that off with the famous Riesling Trail - accessed at the top of our drive and you've got it all!
Star lit skies at night are the icing on the cake!!
