Mt Buller Base Camp - located at Mount Buller

Mt Buller Base Camp is comfortable home away from home in Sawmill Settlement equipped with all you need for a relaxing stay or as a base for your mountain adventure.

It features an open plan living space incorporating kitchen, living and dining areas all surrounded by a outdoors deck area. There is a large loft rumpus space which is a great place for the kids to hang out. There is also a dry room designed to take all your ski gear.

Mt Buller Base Camp is only a stones throw from the the base of Mount Buller and Mount Stirling and a short drive from Mansfield. Its position gives you unlimited options of all that the high country has to offer all year round. Choose from Mountain Biking, 4WDriving, Motor Bike Riding, Fishing, Skiing and Boarding, Hiking, Horse Riding or just relax and enjoying the local gourmet food and vineyards.

Happy home away from home

Really enjoyed our stay at Mt Buller Base Camp, the house was comfortable and well set out. The location meant that you could do walks/rides from your door or just a short drive away.

Cosy and beautiful property

Spend the weekend at Mt Buller Base Camp for our ski trip at Buller. Adam, our host, was speedy with his responses and clarified all our queries. The property was set in a beautiful location, clean, cosy and accommodated our party of five adults with two kids comfortably. And at great value for the peak winter season, only five minutes away from the entry to Buller. We had a great time chilling by the fireplace and the kids had fun with the games. The property could easier fit another family with the loft doubling up as another room. Other than having to bring your own linen (which we didn't mind), everything was perfect. We will definitely be back!

very relaxing for adults and spacious for kids, 2 family's (4+4) stayed for Ski weekend, you can drive here and you can drive to Mt Buller from here or take bus. highly recommended. Thank you Adam, we will be back. - Ash

Good getaway

Purpose of stay was Epic mountain riding so great location however come equipped with everything. (Even tissues and toilet paper, after arriving had to travel back 20 min to get basic supplies)The accomadation was tidy and clean but access up the steepest staircase upstairs extremely dangerous. Was avoided where possible. Kitchen, lounge and living well appointed and comfortable. Ok if you want to pack own linen and towels but we prefer everything provided due to carspace.

The best holiday rental

This holiday house provides everything you could think of and more. It is roomy, clean and freshly decorated. The toy room was a delight for the 2 toddlers we had with us and the thoughtfulness of the safety gate provided for the stairs was well noted and appreciated. The fire was set so all we had to do was light the match (even though we didn't need to as mother nature provided us with the perfect weather.The house location was ideal for our extended family weekend away. It's location is perfect for exploring Mt Buller, Mt Stirling and surrounds as well as the perfect base for the mountain bikers in our family.. We also had a late checkout so we could visit the wonderful Craig's Hut on Mt Stirling. The owners were friendly and approachable. They were also very helpful in providing information about the area. Thanks Kristi and Adam. We had a wonderful time and also loved your resident kookaburras.

Everything you need and comfortable

This was perfect for our snow trip to Mt Buller. Great drying room just inside the front door for wet gear. The fully stocked fireplace was toasty and heaters in each room if you need a top up. An upstairs getaway for teens, but steep staircase, so not ideal for younger ones. I couldnt have asked for anything more for what we needed.

We absolutely loved everything about it.

Beautiful Holiday Home

The property is set in an absolutely beautiful backdrop of nature! Driving up we were already mesmerised by the outside, but walking inside made it even better. The house has a wonderful energy to it and is set up with everything you could need for a wonderful getaway. We were two families of 3 each with 2 kids under 10, and the 3 bedroom place was absolutely perfect for us. The girls especially enjoyed the attic where we set up our projector and watched a couple of movies. Space for us all 😊 Communication with Adam was an absolute breeze. He was very prompt with his responses and accommodated our special request with much ease. All in all we have had a wonderful holiday which is what we absolutely needed. Thank you Adam and Kristi, we shall visit again.

needs some maintenance on the Air con and the TV was unreliable which was annoying but otherwise it was a good house. Spacious and had everything we needed. Good for families, upstairs area is great and although stairs are very steep the kids managed. nice court for the kids to play in and ride bikes. Great communication throughout the whole booking.

Had a great time staying here. Excellent location, cosy, practical house which had everything we needed. Plenty of wildlife around including the very friendly king parrots and cockatoo's on the deck. Would stay again

Sawmill Settlement

Communication with landlord was excellent. House was extremely clean and accommodated 9 people very comfortably. Access to Mt. Buller was fantastic, so close to the mountain. Mansfield was a short drive and a fabulous day out with the kids.

Great weekend away

Perfect location for a weekend ski trip, we all had such a great stay. Loved that there was everything we needed for the kids as well. Hosts were excellent and went above and beyond when I realized I had lost items in the house after checkout. Highly recommend.
