Only 150 metres to walk to the Pichi Richi railway station and even less to galleries, cafes and historic pubs.
Comfortable, spacious heritage accommodation right in the heart of historic Quorn. 3 large double bedrooms, gracious lounge. Reverse Cycle air-conditioning. New kitchen, microwave, electric oven, gas BBQ, outdoor entertaining area, secure yard and undercover parking. Modern laundry.

Locality

Quorn really is the heart of the Flinders with unique scenery and wildlife and fantastic bush walks such as Devil's peak, Dutchman's Stern, Warren Gorge, Waukarie falls and Mount Brown only 15 minutes away by car. Further afield the world famous Wilpena Pound is less than a 75 minutes drive from Quorn to the north through Hawker. To the south the magnificent Alligator Gorge is reached via Wilmington in less than 45 minutes.

If Quorn is at the heart of the Flinders, McKinley's Rest can claim to be the high quality family accommodation in the heart of Quorn. It is so close [a very short stroll] to all the major features railway station, pubs, galleries and cafes and yet it is quiet and secluded.

McKinley's Rest was built in around 1880 and was part of Quorn's famous Foster's retailing empire.[The historic Emporium supplied everything from farm machinery to glassware and haberdashery and closed in 2001].The house was fully renovated and upgraded in 2007 and is very comfortably and tastefully decorated with quality furnishings for home away from home accommodation. It is environmentally friendly, utilising it's own plentiful rainwater and has great insulation and reverse cycle air-conditioning, making it very comfortable in summer or winter.

This place was perfect for a family. The rooms were spacious, and Julie has thought of everything that you will need. It is so convenient to the centre of Quorn, and is extremely clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Trip home from Coffin Bay.

We arrived and opened the back door. OMG how beautiful. The Cottage invited you in to explore the rest of the rooms. Beautiful old Cottage. Beautifully decorated bedrooms and loungeroom. Well presented kitchen with everything you need plus more. Spacious bathroom. So very clean. Lovely outdoor area with BBQ. Undercover parking was great. Julie is the perfect host. She has thought of every little thing you might need. Even a shopping bag on the kitchen door handle. We will be back.

Very comfortable, well equipped and clean cottage in the centre of town. Comfortable beds and great kitchen. Just the spot for showing our Cornish visitors some of the Flinders Ranges in a short stay.

Great location

The house was easy to find although it would have been good to enter through the front door if walking, especially at night. The house was very comfortable with everything one needed. I would recommend it to others if they were coming to the Flinders Ranges.

Very, very excellent accommodation. Comfortable, clean, warm and convenient. Once we enacted Julie's "security code" to enter the property, we were very glad we'd chosen to stay at McKinley's Rest. All we needed for our self-contained visit to Quorn was provided.

Spotlessly clean cottage! Very well equipped with everything you could want in the kitchen, laundry etc. Love all the thoughtful little touches. Thank you so much! We hope to visit Quorn again some day and if so we’ll definitely be staying here again. Just wish we had more time to relax and spend at the cottage this trip!

The cutest cottage accommodation with all the modern facilities

This is a little gem in the main street of Quorn. Walking distance to cafes, pubs, supermarket and the brilliant silo light show. Our hosts were very helpful - particularly after we locked ourselves out! The cottage comfortably accommodated 3 adult couples, the house and gardens were immaculate, fabulous rear access and off street parking with all the mod cons wrapped up in the cutest cottage. Thank you for your hospitality.

Perfect authentic heritage stay

A gem in the mid north

This stone house was absolutely beautifully presented, spacious and spotless. The little touches around the house (ie- a wide range of coffee & tea, breakfast cereals and the fruit trees lining the back carport) made the stay highly enjoyable. Cute Quorn Cottage

Really clean with great country cottage decor and excellent facilities, excellent parking out back off the road with room for multiple cars, caravan or boat etc big rooms and on a hot day didnt need the air con. Loved the shower and kitchen facilities lots of spots to sit and relax including outdoor bbq and eating area quiet little street close to shops etc cant fault the place and Julie is a legend.

Quorn's Best Accomodation

Beautifully presented and restored cottage with all the mod cons one would expect. Quality fittings, great shower and very comfortable, huge beds! Lovely rear patio area and under cover parking, off street. Faultless in every regard.
