L'OLIVETTE Olive Room opens up to its own private garden.

Actually much more. A pleasant surprise with congenial hosts Yves et Martine providing comfortable private accommodation with culinary extras helping commemorate a wedding anniversary, a breakfast to die for & great conversation. Thank you.

Nelson Bay B&B Jewel

Martine and Yves' L'Olivette is an exquisite B&B 3 minutes from Nelson Bay Centre. This is an oasis of calm, with it's Olive trees and St Remy decor. Their French breakfast (including freshly baked rolls, brioche, etc) is not to be missed. Martine and Yves are wonderfully welcoming and hospitable

Relaxing and lovely

We are are French couple living in Sydney, recently engaged and were looking for a place to stay in the Port Stephens area. We couldn't be happier to have picked this place! This is a piece of France in Australia. Our stay was really relaxing, the property is clean and beautiful, it transports you to the south of France! Yves and Martine are amazing hosts and we did feel at home! We'll definitely go back there and we do recommend this place. Varinna

Flawless!

We stayed for two nights in the Olive room and the whole stay was just amazing... The rooms are decorated in a very nice way, there is a beautiful scent and everything is super clean... It's just perfect and being Dutch it brought me back to my holidays in France. Yves and Martine excell in their hospitality, their freahly made breakfast is yummy and served on the patio outside - highly recommend this place, cannot fault it!

Lovely Stay

We had a wonderful stay at L'Olivette. The breakfast is totally amazing, fresh prepared fruits and and everything you could wish for breakfast. If you book the room with the nice terrace you can have your breakfast outside in the beautiful garden. The accommodation was furnished in a very beautiful way. Everything is there for your needs and Yves and Martin are a lovely couple who will give you if you want recommendations where to go and what to do. If we have the chance we will definitely come back. Thank you for having us.

Beautiful home

Martine and Yves provide a welcoming, beautiful home. They are very gracious hosts. The same well presented and tasty breakfast was provided each morning in their dining area with an outlook to the garden. Our room has a balcony overlooking the street where we had a drink and nibblies.

A little gem in Nelson Bay!

My husband and I stayed at L'Olivette during the Christmas/New Year period. From start to finish, our holiday was just a delight! The garden room was absolutely charming and the outdoor patio was the perfect place to unwind after a hot day. Martine and Yves were delightful hosts and did everything to make our stay enjoyable, starting with the delicious French breakfasts every morning, to making recommendations for places and restaurants to visit. The property is just a 2 minute drive (approx. 10 min walk) into town, and very close to the beautiful beaches of Port Stephens. Staying at L'Olivette, we felt like we were coming back to France! We will be recommending this accommodation to our family and friends.

Beautiful homely stay

My boyfriend and I had an excellent time at L'Olivette, it was great getting to know the lovely hosts & they were very kind and accommodating. BeautFrench-inspired property

We had a wonderful stay with hosts Martine and Yves at L'Ovivette. The room was beautiful and a good size with one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. We had a small outdoor area which went to a grass area framed by a lovely garden. We ate breakfast both mornings in the dining room with other guests and our hosts. Not usually my thing but it was very easy and two and a half hours went past very quickly. The company was most enjoyable. It is a short drive and easy walk to Nelson bay marina for a days shopping and many restaurants. The white experience was one of relaxation and friendly welcoming hosts. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this beautiful B & B.

Charming and relaxing French B&B

We had a wonderful long weekend at L'Olivette B&B and now feel relaxed and rejuvenated! The hosts, Martine and Yves, are very friendly and make you feel at home straight away in their beautiful house. We stayed in the Olive Room, which has a patio and garden where you can sit to enjoy your breakfast or just relax in the peace and quiet. The room was very comfortable and we slept really well. The breakfasts were amazing - the first day we had breakfast on the patio in the sunshine and the second day we ate with the hosts in their dining room - so it's great to have different options. The homemade brioche, yoghurt and jams were delicious, as well as fresh fruit and croissants - our perfect breakfast! The location of the B&B is also good - we walked to Shoal Bay (20 mins) and the centre of Nelson Bay is close too. We've stayed in many places in Port Stephens over the years, and this is by far the best - we hope to be back soon!

Very welcoming and great breakfast

Yves and Martine personally welcomed us on arrival at L'Olivette. We had a wonderful room with garden in the recently built Mediterranean style house. Everything in the room and bathroom is perfect and decorated with incredible attention to detail. One of the best things, however, was the breakfast with freshly pressed juice, muesli with a great variety of fruit and home made yoghurt as well as the croissants and brioches with self-made confiture. In summary a very nice B&B especially for couples. We would definitely stay here again on our next Port Stephens trip.

From the first step into this beautiful B&B, we knew we will enjoy! The hosts greeted us with handshake and smile, even giving me lovely gift - bunch of lavanda. The room itself as the whole house is tastefully decorated in French style, you have feeling you are in France. The bed was very comfortable, the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean! Our room had access to own beautiful very well maintained garden. You can have your breakfast in you own room if you prefer, we opted to have breakfast with the hosts. They made their own bread, brioche, marmalade and yogurt! We also had freshly squeezed juice and fresh fruit. What enjoyable breakfast we had, it look like we are having chat with old friends! We would wholeheartedly recommend this B&B to our family and friends and to everyone else to enjoy!

Beautiful B&B

This is a gorgeous place to stay, only a few minutes drive from the Nelson Bay Marina. The B&B is in a suburban area but is a beautiful replica of a typical Provencale home. The room itself is so tastefully & lovingly decorated & furnished & has a quaint courtyard of its own. The hospitality of the owners is lovely & is sealed with an exquisite French-style breakfast with croissants & jam to name only some of the array. The beauty of Nelson Bay & myriad things to do completes the wonderful stay.

Perfect place for a relaxing break

We stayed here for two nights over the January long weekend and honestly wish we could have stayed longer. The property is a french provincial style new build in a quiet residential area, which is perfectly laid out with guest rooms cleverly seperated from the main living area giving a very private feel. The room was well presented, very clean, comfortable and with every detail thought about. The breakfast was amazing - with various freshly baked breads (by Monnet), fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee etc. The hosts, Yves and Monnet, were simply fantastic - they were friendly, welcoming and eager to assist wherever required. I would definitely go back and also recommend to my friends.

Oh la la magnifique

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in mid January. We have been fortunate to stay at a number of high quality bed and breakfasts whilst in Australia but this little gem has surpassed them all. The accomodation was spotless and the room was turned down every day. The decor was pleasant and tasteful generating a relaxed feel. Breakfast was cereal with a nice selection of bread and fruits. This could be served in your room or on your patio/balcony. Alternatively you could eat at the communal dining table. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay aided by the warm hospitality offered by Yves and Martine and will be back !!
