Lovely cottage in North Hobart

This little cottage was a wonderful place for us (a couple) to stay during our time in Hobart. While it is in North Hobart, this was only about 1 mile to the Salamanca Place and the waterfront. A pleasant 20 minute walk or bus ride. We bought a bus card that made commuting cheap and easy. While we had a car- not needed for what we did in Hobart. While parking is limited to 2 hrs during the the day immediately in front of the cottage, there was unlimited street parking on the opposit side of the street as well as on some nearby streets. We found a parking spot easily. The kitchen and cottage had everything we needed to make our meals. The courtyard was very sweet for coffee and meals. There was a noice selection of condiments which helped! The Hill grocery is 0.5 miles and has wonderful produce and meats and deli counter. North Hobart has every type of ethnic cuisine you might crave plus a few nice coffee houses. We enjoyed a movie at the awesome State theatre- so close. Kaye communicated quickly to any questions and made entry and exit easy. We would totally stay here again:

Great cosy cottage.

Very cosy cottage, handy to shops and dining district.. tv/DVD/radio , microwave and cooktop, great little gas heater in lounge as well as supplied electric oil heater for bedroom kept us warm as. For the two of us it felt very homely .the one and only downside was no off street parking.. it was a busy weekend so we felt we couldn’t move the car as we would lose our spot.

Lovely historic cottage.

We enjoyed our five days at Jane Cottage. It is a cosy place to come back to at the end of the day out adventuring. Down the end of the street is a strip of shops, restaurants and cafes that are excellent.

Lovely stay at Jane cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our six nights at Jane cottage. The owner Kaye was very accommodating. The cottage is beautiful and very cosy and comfortable. The location is superb, so close to the cafes and restaurants of north Hobart and the state cinema and a short walk into town. We can't recommend it enough!

Lovely little cottage

We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was in an excellent position - with a short walk to shops and restaurants. The property was well furnished in all aspects and luxury toiletries were included. Parking can be an issue though as the area has mostly on street parking.

Excellent place to stay in Hobart

Luckily we found this cottage to stay after the Cradle Mountain tour. It is in the North Hobart area, sitting in a silent street. But it is really convenient - we can walk to Elizabeth st for a breakfast or afternoon tea in 1 minute! (even more convenient than our home in Hong Kong!!) The cottage itself is well equipped, my wife love the kitchen and easy to to prepare and enjoy our dinner (bottle shop and supermarket are in walkable distance). The host provided a list of places nearby and is really useful. I should also mention the small garden inside the cottage. In the morning I can smell nice floral scent, different kinds of flowers.. it was really a good experience to have a breakfast there. I would highly recommend Jane Cottage - a comfortable place for you to explore North Hobart.

Beautiful, well considered cottage

This is a beautiful, little cottage with a gorgeous courtyard and sympathetic furnishings. Thoughtful touches are left throughout. With the cafes and restaurants of North Hobart on your doorstep and a short walk to the city, it's a perfect blend of old meets new.

Awesome Getaway Location

Jane Cottage offered even more than we expected, and we had a very enjoyable weekend down in Tassie as a result. A great little place in a fantastic location close to the main part of Hobart; and North Hobart itself has a lot to offer. Why pay a similar amount for a hotel room when you can get this place to yourself? Thanks heaps guys!

Cute and quiet cottage in perfect location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jane Cottage. After booking it online we were not sure what to expect or how realistic the pictures were however, it exceeded all our expectations. The cottage is small but very cosy. It is very clean and has everything that you need for a short stay in Hobart (including vegemite for my morning toast). Its location to the main restaurant area in Hobart (North Hobart) is just a 1 minute walk away. The courtyard was my very favourite part of the cottage as it was very peaceful and needed after a long day of exploring Hobarts sites. The parking permit was very helpful as we could park right out the front of the property. I felt that the price was suited to cottages quality and location. I can highly recommend this property to anyone coming to Hobart. The owner of the cottage was also great and gave me some fantastic travelling/eating tips for my stay, I would suggest emailing her prior to your visit so you can also find out what is happening in Hobart when you are there.
