Sitting on the edge of Mudgee overlooking the town is a large 6 bedroom house that can accommodate 12-14 guests. Alternatively, each level can be rented out separately as each floor has their own private access with 2 bedrooms on each floor.
The Winerack is a fully self-contained house with all the comforts of home. It is the perfect spot to enjoy watching the sunrise or relaxing on the verandah with a glass of wine watching the sunset over Mudgee. You will also certainly see some kangaroos in the early afternoon coming down from the hills to nibble at the grass.
If you require separate rooms or are singles please contact me as the Stayz pricing assumes you are couples sharing rooms.
If your party exceeds 12, we do have a couple of single trundle beds available but must be requested prior to arrival.

Perfect Fit
We stayed at "The Winerack" to celebrate a milestone birthday and it didn't disappoint.
With 10 adults and three children under four, the layout of the house was perfect for our needs.
The child gate at the top of the stairs meant we were worry free with the children loose in the building, plus with three floors there was never too many people in one place at the same time.
All up, lots of space and good facilities for all, wonderful views and a great place to have a beer or a wine overlooking the beautiful town of Mudgee.

Fantastic family location!
We loved the location of this property. Sweeping views and close to the highest point in Mudgee. The house was great for housing multiple families and contained everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Views are grsat
Views are great, top balcony is fantastic Mudgee does not normally get that hot but at plus 40 needs more air con bottom floor is hot 3rd bedroom very hot
Enjoyed having three levels, with multiple living areas, and outdoor balconies and group seating. Six bedrooms with queen beds makes ideal for couples. While not modern, comfortable and nice having three kitchens. The views were wonderful, and enjoyed watching the kangaroos. The host was responsive, and helpful. We would visit again.
Our group consisted of 12 friends who were cycling in the Mudgee Classic. Having the accommodation over 3 levels suited us. All of my guests loved the Winerack and are keen to return. The large balcony and firepit was great to enjoy a few drinks while taking in the great view. Big thumbs up to The Winerack.
11 of us family and friends stayed for 3 nights and aal of enjoyed the stay. Propert is well maintained and all the faciliteies available for a home away from home holiday stay.

couples stay
the property was well situated, 5minute drive to town. Fantastic views from all balconies. BBQ was clean, bedrooms comfortable and clean. The property is good for 12 people comfortably and ample, large main living area on main level is a great place to hang out.The property is a bit tired and could use some TLC. There was a smell from the septic the first night due to the wind. Inside was clean ( except mould on ceiling in ensuite) but outside needed sweeping and cleaning. Overall good for large groups.
Property needs a big update in the main living area very dark, not enough lights, and what were there only half worked, kitchen was okay, but needs a big clean on the range hood.Beds were very comfortable and the linen was nice and clean. The view of Mudgee from the property was beautiful.
Great property on the edge of town (only 5 mins drive to the centre).
The property itself was perfect for our three families, who were visiting to celebrate a 40th birthday.
We essentially each got our own level and each level had a kitchen, bathrooms, living space, big deck and bbq. There was also plenty of space to come together when we wanted to.
There was ample firewood for the huge wood burner and firepit. There’s also plenty of space to park cars.
The view is even better in real life, which was a nice bonus.
Would happily stay there again.
A great property for a large group of people. We had 8 adults and we slept comfortably using 6 queen beds and two single foldouts.
The views across Mudgee were spectacular. Amazing 180 degree views to the mountain range with Mudgee nestled in the foreground.
The space of the property was very welcome. Two queen rooms on each level along with four bathrooms made the living very comfortable. Three living spaces, a huge upstairs deck area and a lower balcony made the outdoors readily accessible.
Although the decor was dated it was clean and generally in a good condition.
Plenty of parking options outside, we were able to easily fit 7 cars with loads more parking available but not utilised.
We had a great visit to Mudgee and recommend this property to any large group of people.
This was a great property for our group of 8 adults. There was plenty of room for all of us and the amenities were great with every couple able to have their own bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook for ourselves. Thank you would love to stay again Cheers.

Great weekend
House is huge. There is plenty of room for everyone. Four bathroom are definitely a bonus. We stayed for two nights for my 50th. The ten of us enjoyed the fire pit on Saturday evening and the views are marvellous. Would recommend for any large family that still like their own space.

Fabulous house on the hill
A group of us travelled for a long weekend and the house on the hill could not have been more perfect. The top balcony overlooking the town was a treat with the brazier burning in the evening. The kitchens (yes multiple!) allowed us to prepare great meals and really enjoy conversation with friends. The beds were comfy and lounge areas a great size for a large group to relax in. Highly recommend it.
My only tip - if you are riding motorbikes, the gravel path from the road to the house is steep and could be difficult depending on skill level. We left our bikes in town at a friend's garage.

Speculator views
Located close to town, but isolated enough to see kangaroos bouncing across the lawn on a rural property with great views...the building is actually 3 seperate units, over 3 levels that can easily house a large group... the house was comfortable and well appointed for a stay, but a little dated with the fixtures.this was reflected in the reasonable price.the views where beautiful to wake to and enjoy from the large third floor deck. The outside fire pit and the internal wood fires kept us warm, when the wind picked up.lovely stay and hope to be back again

Excellent!
Wonderful holiday resort. Would certainly go back. Only one problem...we had trouble finding it. The house was well laid out. Very clean and plenty of parking. Views over Mudgee night and day were spectacular.

Great house for a large group.
Roof top Was fantastic with a fire pit and amazing views over Mudgee. Great facilities and location for a large group.
Emma was great.. easy to communicate and very understanding when we broke a door and damaged a wall!! So could not rate them high enough considering we were accident prone that weekend!

A Very Enjoyable Stay
Spacious, well equipped and excellent view. The owner was friendly and responsive.
There seems to be some problem with the HomeAway system not providing the owner’s phone number when it was supposed to have been provided. My understanding is that this was not any fault of the owner. This made it difficult to arrange access to the property when we arrived.
I strongly recommend this property to other short term stayers. The “damage” deposit was returned in full reasonably promptly.

About the host
Hosted by Emma Murdoch
I've been managing 'The Winerack' for my parents since March 2016 as a holiday home. My brother was the previous owner and lived here with his family for a few years prior to 2016. When he went to sell the property my father decided to purchase it as he 'loved the view'.
