Surrounded by 20 acres of field and forest, house is off rural rd perfect for getting away from it all! Several state parks and ski areas within 25 miles including nice walking area on Connecticut river. Vermont Country Store is 3 miles away, historic towns of Bellows Falls, Chester and Grafton all nearby.Town of Windsor just 20 miles north has Harpoon Brewery, Simon Pierce Glassworks and canoe outfitter.
No TV or internet service, decent cell phone coverage. Cafe and bookstore in town have WIFI.

Beautiful cottage and lovely surroundings.

Relaxing getaway in a cozy cottage—even in March there were beautiful views, rolling mist over the meadow, and the song of the rain drops on the metal roof. Feels away and remote but a quick jaunt to food and places of interest. Perfect!

Country cabin for relaxation near Bellows Falls

Very nice small home with all you need in the kitchen and a sunny dining area.The home is quiet and there is only one neighbor that you can barely see about 100 yards away. No cable or wifi which was fine for our group!

Absolute gem!

We loved this little cottage, it is like being in a movie! Fireplace is warm and cosy and the view of the snow covered forrest outside is picturesque. We only stayed one night but didn’t want to leave. If we did stay longer the kitchen would have been perfect for making a family dinner. the

Best stay in Vermont

This is one of the best stay we’ve had at a VRBO. The house was perfect and exceptionally beautiful. I grew up about 1 1/2 hours south and this house was spot on for the one I grew up in. The exposed beams and natural wood walls brought me back. The TV was not missed as we had too much outside fun to do, and we kept a radio on for local news. It’s only about 15 min to springfield, which is where we have family. If you’re looking for a natural, back to earth Vermont rental, this is the one.

Wonderful place in wonderful location. Only difficulty was in communicating with owner as there’s no internet and she needed to reach us. Maybe setting up texting would have been easier on your site? We’d go back in a heartbeat — lovely and charming property.

Short layover on the way to Boston

Quaint, cozy, comfortable. We’ll be back & will plan to stay several days so we can enjoy the quiet. Coffee on the front porch before we left was so enjoyable. We all slept well after eating dinner at the The Copper Fox in Springfield.

Cozy and peaceful getaway

We came up from NY for the weekend for a much needed getaway. The house was so charming and was everything we were looking for with its wraparound porch, warm cozy furnishings, and lots of quiet land around. We were able to unwind and decompress. Everything was spotless. The beds were comfortable. We were able to use the well stocked and modern kitchen to make our own meals. We read, and played board games and puzzles using their stash, and learned about the area using the books and brochures. We drove to nearby Bellows Falls to explore the area and local ambience. But mostly we just relaxed. Next time I hope to be able to book a longer stay because it was over before we knew it.

Perfect quiet quaint place

We immediately loved this adorable house! Perfect and spotless, easy to relax in . Loved the seclusion, no TV or Internet you had to calm your world down. We walked through the fields and ate the wild peaches , my dachshund loved running and discovering new nature, lol would love to visit again!!

lovely Vermont stay

I'm a repeat renter. I love staying at Donna's house. So quiet and relaxing and my dogs get to run. The house is very cozy and comfortable. Hope to return soon.
