Both beds were very comfortable with nice bedding. The portable heater really helped in the chilly mornings. The kitchen was small and lacked even salt and pepper, not well stocked for anyone wanting to cook a meal. We only had cold cereal and fruit, so it wasn't a problem. The dishwasher was broken and some of the silverware in the drawer was dirty. The access stairway was a little difficult to navigate. The owner was personable.
We stayed as a family for four days and will be returning (Grandma, mom, dad, and toddler). The host is very responsive and met all needs as quickly as possible.
Positives:
1. The host and communication
2. Location
3. Value
4. Quickly cleared snow and salted the outside walkway
Negatives:
1. There are can be very warm at times.
2. One night the family above was quite noisy and could be heard late into the night
3. Be careful with the steps to the backyard
We felt very safe and welcomed. We have already booked our next stay. Bang for your buck, this is a very nice place to stay!
The house was in a great neighborhood, the host was very nice and helpful. Only thing I would recommend to change is the walk area as the slope is kind of steep especially in snow, otherwise the place was great!
Even with construction happening the entire time I was there. Upstairs was very loud. Electrical outlet in one of the bedrooms needs a face plate even if the outlet doesn't work - cant have exposed live wires, loose tape isnt a solution. Tile in the bathroom is loose and is likely to crack if a more average amount of weight is applied to it. Dishwasher is still not operable from the review in 2022. Oven drip pans need to be replaced. Honestly I could go on and on. Only leaving 5 stars so the owner's reviews go up because he was a very kind and communicative person. Hopefully reads this and addresses his neglected issues

Dingy
The finish work is mediocre. Sofa is uncomfortable. Lack of soft extras like throw rugs. Coffee table rattles when walking through room. Smelled.
Stayed there for about a week. The host is incredibly prompt and polite. They were helpful when I needed anything. However, the heating/cooling is centrally controlled so some days were very hot and some were freezing cold. Additionally, a dishwasher is advertised but was non functional. The previous guest had left the dishes only rinsed with food particles still on some of them so I had to wash everything before I could touch anything. There was also little to no light in the entrance and it is a stairway down in to the basement when I'd come back after sun down. There was also a lot of furniture movement at night and morning on the last day but that could've just been minor tlc upstairs.
Had to check out a day early from being exhausted from overhead noise. The basement was cold. There was no lighting to the downstairs outside so bring a flashlight. Almost fell down. Owner didn’t even offer a refund for having to check out early.
We had and amazing time in Colorado and this property and the owners were an excellent part of that experience. The owners were very helpful from well before our stay through the entire trip and we’re very generous and nice to us. We weren’t there a lot due to traveling throughout Colorado each day, but had a wonderful place to come back and relax each evening. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood close to most anything we needed. The owners even had their vehicles out of the driveway the day we arrived and the night before we left making it easier to haul our personal items in and out. The house has everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.
This was a great locations for a " home base ". We weren't there much due to trying to fit in as much of Denver as we possibly could during our visit, but it was everything we needed.
This property was excellent for our needs. We were able to get to different hikes and adventures all over from this central location, yet enough off the highway to not be caught up in traffic the entire time. Because we were gone almost the entire day each day, the simplicity of the property worked for our needs, especially having a coffee maker, cups and filters (the kitchen is stocked with other dishes as well). I do think a few extra touches would help with sounds absorbency (cloth or canvas wall hangings and/or rugs). While all we could hear were feet walking upstairs, I was constantly concerned that we were too loud as it echoed in our space. The owners never complained though and have communicated well before and after our stay!
Hosts were amazing to allow us to stay with less than 24 hr notice & above that, falling on Easter Sunday. We had nothing planned for this Vaca(places to go or stay) so we were lucky & thankful to just have beds & a roof over our heads! Hosts were quick to reply to our messages.... whether in need of bedding for futon, more wash cloths, or asking for less heat on. It met our needs for those 2 nights. Close to town... back of house against busy road & a little noisy, but very nice house & subdivision! Beds were harder than we personally like, but no different than the 2 hotels we stayed at. I'm the type who likes a foam mattress toppers on my bed so it's hard for me to sleep on firm mattress w/o waking up with back aches. But she was a wonderful hostess! Had a good size kitchen even though we didn't use it. Iron & ironing table was a nice extra touch.
Thank you for sharing your home with us, we had a very nice stay very comfortable. We were in town only 4 days we'll our Daughter and husband are talking school pictures for the school. Owners were very nice and responsive if we needed anything.
This place was amazing, it was clean, and was exactly as described in the description. My family (2 adult children) and I stayed there over Christmas 2020, and had a great time. Communication with the owner was spot on, though we didn't really have to communicate much. Would definitely book this place again.
This bedroom apartment was beautiful. The kitchen was useful, and the hosts upstairs barely made a peep. Restful and relaxing for someone that wants to be within striking distance of Denver but not within the city.
Loved the private entry. Located in a nice clean neighborhood. It had everything we needed- tv, kitchen, bathroom. Very comfortable stay, would recommend!
Nice private walk out lower level apartment. Patio and two chairs to sit outside. had most of what we needed to cook meals and spend a few days in the Denver area. Recent landscaping work was being done in the backyard so there was some rubbish piled up, but once that is cleaned up it will look nice! Could use a few more pots and pans and a couple more comfortable chairs in the apartment, but overall a very nice afordable place to to stay. Thanks to the owners for sharing their home!
