The house location for the price can’t be beat! We had such a wonderful time sitting on the deck listening to ocean and being able to walk right out to the beach with the kids. The place could definitely use a good cleaning. Carpets were stained and dirty and lots of caked on dust throughout the house. Great affordable spot to be right on the beach!
Property was right on the beach. Even had a little sand dune area right in front of it. House was was clean and perfect for family. Only downfall was the TV in guest room doesn’t work. We just hooked up our Firestick though and it was successful. Property managers were easy to check in with and easy to contact as well.

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Deceiving, needing updates
This property has great potential. The beach and view are superb; however, what you don't see in the pictures are how outdated and unsafe this home actually can be. Upon arrival the home had a horrible smell...mold, musty smell slapped you in the face immediately. There is stained carpet throughout most of the house and I question the last time this carpet was actually cleaned. Linoleum flooring in the kitchen area is bubbled up and multiple areas throughout the home with poor subflooring is a major hazard. You can see the underside of property a large section plywood is hanging down. Windows are basically non-functional due to the wear from the ocean which can be understandable, but when the smell of mold is so potent. The wall panelling also appears to be bowing in a few areas in which I question what could be in there. As I said this place has so much potential if money is placed back in it. Spending most of our time outside was the best part of it, but I would not like to have to be stuck inside here.
For the money, this is a great place to stay. Kitchen and baths are older but everything works and the location can't be beat. Beds aren't comfortable.
Overall it was great, and we probably would look at booking again.
Pros, location and access to beach, roomy and open. Beds were comfortable.
Cons, stains, and just overall condition of house, deck, parking below house, etc. But it's a rental home, you can't expect everything to be pristine, and it was acceptable for what we needed. It would've been nice if there was a bbq available as listed (nothing on site) and the cook ware was basically unusable.
Such a cute house. Great access to private beach. I do think having adult size toilets and upgrading mattresses would be a great addition. Hope to be back!!
Fantastic place on the beach. Only issue was the HVAC system was having problems keeping up. We called them and they sent someone out within a couple hours. They were very nice and easy to deal with. Would definitely stay again.
Great Beach home and just the perfect size for the two of us. We had plenty of room and we were right on the beach. It was a perfect relaxing location and we were able to watch the dolphins right off the covered porch. Absolutely would stay here again. Thank you for everything.
Well located on the beach, but could used some things
We stayed a week here, and absolutely loved the location. It was so much nicer to have our own private beach access just a few steps off the porch. The house was very roomy for 6, and could have comfortably accommodated 2-3 more. It could use a little updating, but was not a deal breaker. The mattress in the master bedroom desperately needs replacing, and the kitchen needs a better stock of cooking tools and such. There are lots of random odd and end cooking tools, and not a single knife was sharp enough to cut meat. My husband used his pocket knife to do most of the cutting for cooking. Also not a deal breaker, but would be helpful. Also, the porch is fantastic for sitting and watching the ocean, but it needs repair on the sides because of broken wires, and needs a gate. Our youngest almost fell down the stairs, and tried to climb through the broken wires.
My family and I had a relaxing time at Salty Heir. The beach was beautiful and very low key. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was spacious and stocked well for cooking. The house was also kid friendly and did not have lots of breakable decorations :) We would stay here again.
As close to the ocean as you can get! Literally steps to the beach. A+ to the manager of the property. Our AC broke during our stay and they had it fixed same day, even after normal business hours!
My best friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Salty Heir. It was the perfect size house. We each had our own spaces, and the front deck was a favorite spot to drink our morning coffee, to watch the sunrises and sunsets, and to watch the playful dolphins. It was an easy walk to the beach. The house actually looked better than the pictures online as it is in the process of being updated. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Salty Heir again next year.
The property is in a great location, right on the water, and in an area without more properties behind it, the beach is sparsely populated. The house itself is a bit dated but everything worked fine. The dishwasher door was broken when we arrived with a note saying it would be fixed over the week, which it never was. The dryer worked but had did not have a functional timer, allowing it to run forever if you did not stop it. There are some gnats in the house, but that seemed to be an issue in a lot of places we went in the area. Overall, I would stay there again, you are really there for the location on the beach, which was great.
Very clean, livable and you can’t get any closer to the water. We really enjoyed watching the dolphins swim by as well as the Blue Angels practice over the gulf. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
