What a beautiful spot! Everything was perfect. Could not have been any better. Comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and two sweet pups in the yard. Thanks, Vivian, for a truly special place.
We loved our stay at The Lodge at Fox Meadow Farm and will definitely be back. Great space and views, very comfortable beds, and fully stocked kitchen made this a great space to catch up with friends and relax for the weekend. Thank you Vivian (and adorable labradoodles Sweetie and Betty!), and we will be back!
This property is lovely and well-kept. The host is attentive and gracious. I recommend it highly. The views are breathtaking and the ambience is serene. But it is not isolated - only a ten minute drive to Manchester Center or Manchester Village. Nearby is the Southern Vermont Arts Center, another worthy destination.
The Lodge was charming, cozy and perfect for my family of four. It's exactly as described -- situated behind the main house on a hill with sweeping views of the valley below, a world apart but just a quick ride into Manchester and Manchester Center. The Lodge itself has great character, with wide plank pine floors and whimsical signs and decor everywhere. It was very clean and well stocked with all the housewares we needed. There's a queen bedroom and bath on one side, a living/dining and open kitchen area in the middle, and two more bedrooms (one queen, one with twin bunk beds) on the other which gave the kids one side of the lodge to themselves. There's also a lovely back deck facing the woods -- perfect for morning coffee or nighttime stargazing.
Vivian, our host, was wonderful: Very responsive and flexible with our arrival dates. And her two Labradoodles were an absolute delight for my son.
Overall we whole-heartedly recommend the Lodge at Fox Meadow Farm. We miss it already and look forward to returning.
