We had a wonderful family trip, some from Texas, some from Alabama, meeting at the cabin. We were pleased with the space, cleanliness and especially the large well stocked kitchen. Plenty of space for all of us, and we all had a bathroom!! Beth was a gracious host, answering all my questions!
Because of everyone's work schedules we have had to celebrate Thanksgiving early the last 2 years. This is the second time we have stayed at this property and both times have been great. The property is clean, the host is great at communicating (which is so important to me), and there is plenty of room for 14 of us. I highly recommend this property!
Generally very good. The 1000s of knats the first two nights and the refrigerator water filter going out leaving us with trips to the store for ice were a nice surprise. The minor glitch of no WIFI password in the original paperwork (double checked the computer) not a problem as it was all over in the house. Check in/out instructions were good. The house is well supplied...bathrooms, kitchen, laundry. Figuring out how to turn all the kitchen flood lights off was fun. The light over the dinner table needs brighter bulbs or a rheostat to turn up those existing. The bear in the yard the first morning (only) was exciting. Paid for one show-up each session?

The place was spacious, great gatherings spots and large bathrooms. But the kitchen with the large island was wonderful for morning gatherings with breakfast. Great location!
Our family always gets together during the month of July. This house is perfect because we can spread out. We love to play cards in the evening and in the morning make a big breakfast. The basement has plenty of room for games and the large well equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook and there is seating for everyone.
The perfect accommodation and space for a family of 15
This house was spacious and it was PERFECT for our entire family. We each were able to have our own rooms. The kitchen was fully equipped with almost everything we needed. My only complaint was I wished our fridge upstairs was BIGGER! But that's because we cooked a lot and had a lot of food. We did however used the fridge downstairs too which was great. There was room to do things and gather in different areas of the house. I highly suggest movie night in the basement! We were cozy and comfortable in the house. The view was spectacular and overall the area was quiet. We would love to stay here again if we decide to visit Grand Lake again.
We rent a house for my extended family every thanksgiving (14 of us). This place was perfect: clean, large, dream kitchen, great location, well stocked - the whole package. We’re already considering making this our yearly stay. Rent- you will not regret.
We had our whole family here for an early Thanksgiving. The property was very spacious and accommodating. Check in and check out was easy and good communication with owner. I would recommend this property for large groups.
The house is very accommodating for our large family. Love having 2 refrigerators for all of our food! The deck is also a great place to have morning coffee….beautiful views. This is our second time staying here. We are planning for next year as well.
This was the perfect property for our large extended family. The rooms are very spacious and everything was perfect for our family. The location is close to the marina, Grand Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Grandby.
Wow! This place is the perfect spot for a couples' trip or a multi-family group. The kitchen is well-equipped with every utensil imaginable. There are three separate common spaces in the house and three levels where different groups could gather and visit. In addition to the kitchen on the main floor, there's also a small kitchen on the basement level. There are 7 bedrooms with adjacent baths and an 8th bedroom with bunks. We will definitely return to this one - it's great!
We really enjoyed this home for a family gathering of 16. The kitchen was beautiful, with 3 ovens, stove and microwave. Very well equipped with pans, dishes, etc. We were all able to crowd around the huge dining table when we joined it with the kitchen table. The view of the lake and trees turning were the best. Beds were all comfortable, and lots of bathrooms to spread out. We loved it! Thank you! Communicating with the hosts was great. Would highly recommend. Also very clean.
We had 6 couples flying in from around the United States for my nieces wedding at Grand Lake. The home was exceptional, very open and extremely large, we all had a very comfortable stay. The check in and out process was seamless and the home itself was well stocked with all items needed to just relax
We found the house to be just as listed, it was very clean and had everything we needed. Communication was good with Beth. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a house to sleep many. The 7 bedrooms with their own bathrooms is a huge plus for this house. Thanks for a great stay.
We had 16 people. 14 adults and an 18 and 10 year old. We had an amazing time! We each had our own space and bathroom. When the kids picked their bedrooms, they were amazed that there weren't any TV's. There were big TV's in the family room and downstairs family room where lots of family time and bonding took place. It was truly awesome to hear them laughing and hearing them talk with each other, reminiscing about growing up and telling stories. ❤ The only thing missing was our oldest son and his family to complete our circle of 5 kids.
The kitchen was amazing! A cook's dream with 2 dishwashers, dbl ovens and stocked with lots of dishes, pots and pans and utensils in the upstairs kitchen with a full laundry room next to it.
Downstairs, there was an additional laundry room, refrigerator, and huge family area to hang out and gather.
The deck is fully stocked with tables, chairs and a gas grill, with amazing views of the lake and gorgeous sunrises.
Beth, was amazing to work with! She answered all of my questions.
We so loved our trip and we will definitely be going back.
Our group gathers annually for a writing retreat. Family & I come in early to set-up, make sure tech works, etc., then family leaves and group arrives. We had some challenges with the wi-fi/network -- Beth was great at fielding questions/being the go-between between us and CenturyLink, patient, etc. (CenturyLink did finally come out and things were working fine by the beginning of the actual retreat.) The house itself was great for us -- we used 7 of the bedrooms, each of which had full (or large 3/4) bath, *greatly* appreciated; half of the rooms also had small tables -- wow, unexpected and also much appreciated (we ARE writers; we need tables!). Kitchen is well-designed and nicely provisioned. Didn't use the gas grill (it poured rain that evening) but it looked to be in good shape (and clean). There are 3 large common areas (1 per floor); main and top floor saw the most use from our group (air hockey -- who knew?). Location advantage: essentially across the street (street = Hwy 34) from Shadow Mtn Lake and a marina; several of our group brought kayaks and played in the water. Several others drove the few miles to the RMNP visitors center and walked the trail next to the center. All tucked into Grand Lake to see the community exhibit re: East Troublesome Fire and to poke around town a bit. Debriefing after the retreat: the only thing they'd wish for is better soundproofing between the main floor bedroom and the downstairs bedrooms, a house *on* the lakeshore (possibly in the lake, depending on who you ask {haha}) and trails that lead directly from the house -- but this house was as close to that fantasy as I've ever seen, with great layout, good privacy between rooms, decent views, and the combination of quiet plus good spaces for talking that make for an excellent retreat setting. (At a good price point, too!)
This is a great house for large gatherings! The house was very clean and loved the large kitchen with 2 dishwashers! Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of seating. Two washer & dryer sets was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this property!
