The listing was not clear that this property is attached to the owner's residence. You could hear lots of noise and footsteps from the owner's family. Additionally the check in process was unclear and the lock box was in the bushes! We had to wait around 30 minutes before the owner responded to tell us where the key was located. Also the entrance of the property is so misleading and unclear, you have to walk through a small clearing in the bushes to get to your entrace. It wasn't pleasant walking through it when luggage. It also wasnt in a pristine condition so if you appreciate cleanliness, maybe reconsider.
Enjoyed some very peaceful nights here during a busy convention at EPIC. We really appreciated having plenty of room to stretch and rest after each day, and how quiet things were the entire time. This is a beautiful property, very clean and lovely to spend time in.
The host's communication was excellent throughout; they told us everything we needed to know, and were very understanding when we had to arrive much later than expected.
My only nitpicks would be that for three guests, we had only one glass that wasn't a wine glass :p Also, some of the tableware/cookware needed a wash before use. Otherwise everything was great!
One small improvement I would suggest—it would have been handy to have an extension cable or power board available in the bedroom. We had lots of devices wanting a charge overnight, which I imagine is pretty common for travellers these days.
Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property. Staying somewhere lovely, rather than a cramped hotel room, made it so much easier to rest well and put in long days of work at the convention. Cheers to the owners for their hospitality!
