LIONS, TIGERS AND BEARS.OH MY....OK JUST BEARS

The cabin was totally amazing and the whole family enjoyed it. Better than pictured. There are so many cabins within the resort but they are all nestled into the woods so you don't feel like you have neighbors. As we were backed in unloading, with most doors open, a black bear rgreeted us, stole some of our groceries from open van, and terrified us as well as amazed us. They warn you might SEE bears but not necessarily that there are multiple that live in resort. Later, a mama bear climbed the post up to our balcony and woke us up, being right outside our cabin door. Again terrifying and amazing!! Once she climbed down, we went out and were blessed to see her 2 cubs below. Our videos and pics were incredible. We will definitely return.

Not For Those With High Cleanliness Standards

The pictures online gave us high hopes for this place. It looked clean. Well put together and maintained. It had a late check in of 5 p.m. A early check out of 9 a.m. With the purpose of giving their staff enough time to throughly clean due to covid and EXTRA precautions. We decided it was worth it. Based off the fact that I do have high cleanliness factors. Check in was a breeze, as they provided gate code and lock code to enter cabin in a email. Cabins are spaced well apart. However, entering the cabin, there was a strong musty smell. Especially downstairs in the room designed to be the master. So much we decided to stay upstairs in the smaller room. There were dirty dish rags left in the livingroom area chair. Furniture was broken. Dirty. The kitchen didn't look as well put together as it did in photos. Areas with unfinished painting. Cob webs everywhere. I'm not talking about the ones in areas hard to reach. These were in places that would be in your face and in areas that should be cleaned on the regular. You can't miss them. Windows were gross. The most frustration was probably with the air conditioner upstairs. It was warm on arrival. When we turned the air on, not only did it seem it wasn't putting out air, it was filthy. There was mold in the vent area. The filter was so dirty it couldn't pull in air. Spent the first hour cleaning and straightening. We were definitely upset with the cleanliness of the cabin. Its disappointing, because it has so much potential to be a 4.5 - 5 star cabin. Unfortunately they dropped the ball here.

House nestled in the mountain

This home suited all our needs. The views are breathtaking cup of coffee in the morning. Every one was comfortable. We all enjoyed the hot tub on the covered porch. This was a beautiful house that made us feel very comfortable away from home. I would definitely rebook a stay here!!!

Good location

Overall this was a decent cabin. Good location being not far from attractions. Wish there was some more furniture in the living room to enjoy a day at the cabin. Also the only tv that worked was the living room. If you are staying for a couple of days it is great but being there for a whole week is a little much. Overall though it wasn't bad and we saw some good wildlife in the area.
