This secluded cabin in the woods is a perfect romantic getaway. It sits on 6.7 acres and the land connects to the bank of the Kickapoo River. It has a firepit for relaxing. Readstown is a great town with many antique shops and there are many hiking trails and canoeing rentals in the area. The snowmobiling trails go through the area too

Quiet and cozy cabin across the street from the Kickapoo River. Perfect size for two to take a quiet getaway for a time. Much to see in the Readstown and Viroqua area and Kickapoo Valley. Excellent hiking trails, restaurants/ bars and shopping within a short drive. LeAnne was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again in the future.
We spent one night at the cabin. It was small, but was cozy and well equipped. The loft bed was accessed by a wood ladder. This was fine, but made night time trips to the bathroom more of a challenge for us. The area is beautiful with the Kickapoo River nearby. My wife left her shawl behind so I contacted LeAnne and she kindly mailed it back to us.
Perfect place to stay at while traveling. Easy check in and the porch was lovely. Lots of birds, too!

Great location, photos are a bit misleading
Cabin was very cozy, nicely kept, seems like new construction. Area is beautiful. Kitchen supplies is nothing special but has the bare essentials. Was nice having the grill and grill supplies. Many things to do in the area and Viroqua is a short drive.
My only complaint is that the photos are a bit misleading. It looks very rustic, in the woods from the photos, but it is actually around 100 ft from a fairly often used road, with cabins on either side that are pretty close nearby. It is definitely not in the middle of the woods.
We loved our stay! The cabin was clean, well stocked and cozy! It’s located close to lots of great outdoor activities, hiking trails and fishing! We loved sitting by the campfire. It exceeded our expectations! Thank you for your hospitality!
Haven't been on vacation in over a decade and this was the perfect way to destress, relax and enjoy. We spent a lot of time on the porch chairs just talking and relaxing. Will definitely book here again.
Adorable little cabin a short walk from the river. Has a very nice porch from which to enjoy the forest when it rains. The neighboring town is big into fireworks, has a shop with a good selection, so likely all the campsites along the river will be popping off a show. Wildcat Mountain State Park is incredible for hiking, varied and beautiful terrain.
Great little cabin tucked on the hillside outside of a small town, great food and experiences within a half hour drive, beautiful view on our run up the road out of town.

Nice Cabin and Relaxing Place
This was a nice property it was clean and comfy. The host was not overly friendly when chatting with her but overall that was not a make or break for the property. I would stay again in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay. The weather bounced between 30s and snow up to 74 a couple of days later (March in Wisconsin is so weird), and it stayed cozy in the cold and pleasant in the heat. The firepit was nice too. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed, and LeAnne was super helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect cabin for a quiet Driftless getaway. Comfy bed, strong WiFi, beautiful live-edge accents, and very warm for a weekend with sub-zero temperatures. Highly recommend.
Cozy place for a short winter getaway. Well-built one-room log house - nice sunlight from windows all around and stayed warm even in sub-zero temps. Kitchen is well-furnished (no counter space but full-sized fridge). Closer to road than expected and no creek access, just nice view, but within 20 miles there are good state and county parks for hiking, skiing etc. Could have used better reading light. Bed was comfortable; we had a relaxing stay.
The cabin in the woods was a true log cabin with the ambiance due it.
Everything you would need was supplied. Cleanliness was adequate. The shower was difficult to the point of being comical. Be prepared for the loft if you have any difficulty climbing ladders. All in all a comfortable place to stay in Readstown.
Our stay was a little disappointing. The cabin itself was fine, but the location was too close to the road, and, although on the river, you couldn't see or access the river from the property.
The furnishings weren't terribly comfortable. And the TV was out, although it was in the listing. Overall, the price was a bit steep for the amenities and location.
This was a peaceful place to stay while helping our son and his family move in to the area. The cabin was clean and cozy and perfect for the two of us to enjoy a morning cup of coffee on the front porch before heading out to help unpack and enjoy our grandchildren.
