Comfortable stay amidst country farms

A beautiful place, lots of farms surrounding the property. I especially liked walking amongst the pines, many wild birds and creatures within and without, particularly on the marsh trails.

Pure relaxation

Property was more than expected, could have stayed on for much longer. Host, Bronwyn was extremely gracious and even provided treats for the troupe of Shelties that greeted you and the Palomino horses in the stable. Would definitely reserve again.

Great stay in the countryside of Michigan!

Pictures don't do justice to this place. The place is super neat and organized. There are plenty of lakes closed by. Beautiful view from the living room. I also loved the doggies and horses in the farm. I would love to stay here again in the future!

Great place

The place is great. Lots of open space. BBQ and fire put were nice. The horses and dogs were fun to feed and pet. Walked the trails and saw a few deer. The only negative is the s...l...o...w internet. Great location just outside harrison. We would rent again

Pleasant and relaxing location

The property is wide open with nice trails through a wooded and marshy area. Friendly horses hanging around. Near Budd Lake, Lake George and Lily Lake--all nice for fishing. Layout is really best configured for a single family--one bedroom/bath combination--no door on bathroom. Open design kitchen/living room with sofa bed and sleeping sofa.

Wonderful, Restful Place

Exceptional location, beautiful setting, considerate host, comfy bed and sofa, jacuzzi tub, spacious open rooms, large windows, sweet dear, friendly horses, lively Shelties, comprehensive library, dishwasher, accommodations were wonderful! One thing to note is that the wifi/internet is limited. It works well for email, but for anything requiring video (Zoom meetings or streaming) it is very spotty. All in all I enjoyed a very restful week! Thank you, Bronwyn, for sharing your little piece of heaven.

Nice quiet stay in secluded countryside

This was a nice getaway for our anniversary. We enjoyed feeding the horses and walking around the property. The suite was nice and roomy and was a good fit for just hanging out together. The full kitchen was great! It was fun watching the birds at the feeder and seeing the deer approach in the evenings through the huge picture windows all along the one side. Bronwyn was very sweet to work with and gave us complete privacy. The only suggestion we have is possibly putting a curtain in the bedroom window. It's not really essential for privacy but would be helpful in the morning for days you might want to sleep in.

The property was beautiful and the house was spotless and very nice. I would give it an excellent all around except for no blinds or curtains on the windows. The sun rises into the windows in the morning. The bedroom windows had curtains but they need room darkening curtains, because it was so bright. And if anyone sleeps on the couch, It's like a spotlight on you at 6:00 in the morning. I think if the owner made an investment in those 2 things, it would be perfect. Our host was away on a trip herself, but a family member took care of us and he was more then accommodating!

Wonderfully peaceful.

I was in the area to handle business with loved ones. The town is in the country and offers little in the way of comfortable places with all the conveniences of home. This place made you feel comfortable and exponentially raised the bar. The cutest little collies greet you upon arrival and departure. The owner was kind enough to provide treats which they take graciously. Additionally, the property has horses which the owner once more provided treats to socialize with the animals and help enjoy the beauty this place has to offer. As if these two ambassadors weren't enough, bird feeders outside offered the opportunity to see multiple species of birds. In the morning, cows from the neighboring lot grazed close enough to see on the way out and in the evening the deer grazed right in front of the home. Inside, books galore on multiple topics are available to peruse. The kitchen boasts a full complement of appliances, utensils, and cookware to make a nice meal. The living room, bedroom, and bathroom are spacious and well stocked with supplies for the shower. Finally, if you choose to make the most of the outdoors, the host has provided comfortable chairs, a fire pit, and games to enjoy. They even provided three options of walking path that range from a short stroll to a nice long walk without needing to leave the property. I would definitely check availability in the future should the need for future stays arise.

Hidden gem!

My family and I stayed here while in town for my kids mountain bikes races- what a great find! My daughter absolutely loved going to visit the horses and feed them carrots 2-3x a day and the boys loved all the space to roam. We went for an evening walk and were followed around by 4 young cows and had so much fun. The house has a comfortable bed, large shower, spacious living room and full kitchen. We made all our meals and used the grill. I loved all the morning light coming in. Thank you so much, Brownyn!

Starry Nights in Harrison, MI

Easy to find just outside if town. Trails for walking, horses and fenced dogs for petting. Saw the stars without any light pollution from nearby town - more stars than I have seen in years! No noise from emergency vehicles, helicopters or airlines!

Fresh air and farm views!

We had a wonderful stay at Bronwyn’s home. The rental was exactly as listed and the house was very clean. We enjoyed the vast property with pasture walks, feeding the horses + dogs, and watching the birds! The kitchen was fully stocked and we used the propane grill for dinner one evening. Bronwyn met up with us for check-in and suggested some outdoor activities nearby (we rented kayaks on the Muskegon River!). We would definitely recommend this rental if you’re looking for a quiet, clean, nature-filled getaway!

Lovely getaway

The accommodations and property are lovely! My husband and I just needed a change of scenery for a couple of days and this was a lovely place to do it. We enjoyed seeing the horses and dogs daily, and spoiling them with the treats left in our fridge for them! And sitting on the porch at night and seeing all the stars that we don’t get to see at home. We were able to pick up groceries in town and cook a couple of meals in which was nice, and there are lots of parks and lakes around for recreation. The property is very clean and well appointed, and we had privacy from the owner (upstairs) unless we reached out to her for something. We would definitely recommend and are likely to book again in the future!

Week up North

Nice relaxing home close to the Leota ORV trails, golf, the towns of Harrison and Clare and not far from Traverse City. Bronwyn was very helpful and responsive to any question or request we had. The property was lovely and comfortable. Loved the dogs, horses, birds, chipmunks and deer. There was ample space indoors and out. Like others have said, the internet and cell service is spotty which is not bad if you want to get off the grid for a few days. The bathroom has no door which can be a bit awkward but we made due. Finally, it is listed as having AC but the space that we rented does not and it was warm during our stay. That said, I’m guessing most often it is cool outside and this wouldn’t be an issue. The positives definitely outweigh the minimal challenges we faced and I would recommend it for anyone interested in visiting the area.

Country Respite

Stayed to attend several get.togethers in Harrison. We had one gathering at this VRBO and it worked very well for enjoying the patio and outdoor seating. The indoor open concept and large sofa provided a lovely central location for chats.. The single bathroom didn't seem to pose a problem. The new Sheltie puppies were a treat to see. Overall I would highly recommend as a place for R&R, walks in the woods, petting horses and seeing deer!
