Polar Express Getaway!

Riverbend Lodge in Bryson City was the perfect lodging for us with small grandchildren. It was super clean, great layout with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. No stairs to worry about (a plus with small children). The house was warm, the beds comfortable, the kitchen was spacious. I highly recommend Riverbend Lodge!

Just like the pictures

The cabin was exactly as pictured and very clean. Lots of space to move around and the master bedroom was huge. It was very close to downtown and the grocery store. Deck was amazing and the view was great. Only issue was that we stayed for 8 nights and were given only 1 laundry pod, 1 dishwasher pod, 1 roll of paper towels, so be sure to bring your own if you're staying for more than a few nights!

Awesome property. Interior nicely decorated. Lots of pots, pans, utensils in kitchen. Nice deck although view of river obscured by trees. For those who want to avoid wall to wall people, Bryson City is small, not too crowded. Between Bryson City and surrounding area, plenty to do. Property manager was awesome. The only complaint is nearby dogs barking. Sort of a rural area and sound carries a long way. One dog like to bark a lot and apparently owner was deaf.

Beautiful surroundings

The house was beautiful. We had everything we needed. My sisters and i enjoyed the hot tub every night while the husband's enjoyed the firepit. The road up was very bumpy but worth the drive.

This place exceeded my expectations. Plenty of seating in the living room. Bedrooms were a nice size with comfy beds. Two awesome bathrooms that were clean as they could be. The porch wraps around the house.The hot tub was sparkling clean and is conveniently located. Loved the local farm animals (chickens & a pot belly pig) that visited. Kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed to cook our meals. Conveniently located close to Bryson City. Only thing I can suggest is better signage on the road to get you to the correct address. We came in late, it was very dark, and we ended up flagging down a local sheriff deputy to help us find the place.

Convenient and nice

We enjoyed our stay at Riverbend. The driveway up was a little questionable but the home itself was really nice and well stocked. Overall cleanliness was good, im a little OCD and there were multiple things that needed dusting and a more thorough clean. Beds were extremely firm. We very much enjoyed the hot tub and the amenities that staying in a home had to offer. Overall the home was nice and we enjoyed the convenience, everything was super close.

The home was exactly what we needed for our family. There were seven of us and never did I feel cramped. The house was comfortably furnished and newly redone. The bathrooms were very spacious as well as the bedrooms. The master bedroom had another TV and sitting area which was great for our three girls. The porch was huge with plenty of space. The fire pit area was also so fun. The views from the fire pit to the river were beautiful. The neighboring homes next door had farm animals which were so neat to see. We loved our morning visits from the two pot belly pigs. They were like dogs but with determination to eat all the acorns! The house was so close to Bryson City for our ride on the Polar Express. I would we concerned about the driveway had there been ice and snow however the rental listing was very clear about the need for potential snow chains or 4wheel drive. The hot tub amenity was great too but we unfortunately did not have time to enjoy it. The only recommendation is that I would provide more clear directions to the property with the driveway name or better landmarks. We arrived at dark and it was hard to find with the instructions provided. More details would be most helpful or perhaps a different address to provide for GPS. All in all it was amazing and we would love to rent this property again and maybe even in the summer!
