4 - Satisfactory

Enjoyed location - We were disappointed with the degree to which the property was clean. Specifically, cob webs, bugs in window sills Also, I believe some small improvements would make a difference: --Maintenace on the deck. paint --Store the kayaks/bbq somewhere other than on the deck --Replace white plastic chairs --Add'l patio furniture --Garden hose --Wine Glasses

Beautiful Home on the Lake

Stayed here a couple weeks ago and the house is beautiful. The lake is in the backyard and all the neighbors we meet at the docks were fishing, BBQing and generally having a great time. Good place for familes as there were more beds than we could even use. We used the charcoal grill but there is a little gas grill on the side as well. Everything was super easy. Close to liquor stores/small shopping/coffee. You could walk to the village in probably 20 minutes(we only drove), but the road to the house is located exactly where you want to be. If you enjoy having a relaxing time and taking advanta

WORST BOOKING EVER

This home was a complete fraud. I booked it for the deck and lakefront especially and couldn't access nothing. We couldn't even clean out the snow it was hard ice. We have booked homes all the time that the deck as been indeed shoveled off. It wasn't a massive deck. Not to mention the floors were extremely dirty! I was there with my one year old , white socks completely black beneath. Heater was horrible, the rooms boiled but the house didn't warm up. I just am not happy at all!!!!

Not worth the price

House is in a good location, close to village, but it’s too old. Heater fan was so load and smell of everything you cook remains in the house. Over all was ok, but not worth the price.

Great View but…

We selected this unit for our combined birthday/anniversary kayak vacation. We inquired about access to the lake from this cabin and received an email response stating that there was access. The listing photos showed access but apparently the photos were taken last year when the lake water level was way below normal. What we got was a wildly overgrown area that was impassable. This alone (for us) was a serious issue. We decided that we would go around the weeds to get to the water by walking along the edge of the neighboring property. But when we checked all the notices mounted near the front entry doors, we noticed one that said if we launched our kayaks from the adjacent properties “we could be evicted” from the cabin. Pros - inside of cabin was as shown in listing; kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates, bowls, pots & pans, and utensils; even had crock pot & instant pot; beds were comfortable; Cons - upon arrival (after strange check-in) we had an extremely potent odor that smelled like ant spray or some other pesticide. Fortunately cabin had 3 box fans so we could open all windows & doors to ventilate the whole place; had to wash plates, bowls, cups and eating & cooking utensils before using them; property between cabin and lake was overgrown with 3’ to 4’ weeds which prevented us from being able to launch our kayaks from our property. All in all, this was definitely the worst experience we have ever had with a VRBO property. And we’ve stayed in many units.

Family Oasis - Wonderful Escape

A lovely house on the lake…great for families - ample room for 6. Ideally located, well/thoughtfully stocked and welcoming. We cooked most of our meals and ate and played together - great memories were made. Other than a dishwasher there was really nothing we didn’t have. Plenty of family games, great television with all the services we wanted. Just a few things to consider: If you’re looking for any sort of privacy, this is not a place for you. Any noise from the ground floor echoes thru the two sleeping lofts. Both spaces were terrific for our kids, giving them their own space - the bigger one even has a tv; but, the teenagers complained about the noise. Also note, the smaller loft in the back has very steep stairs, a challenge for most of us to get up and down, but fine for youthful legs - which kept the rest of us out of the space…not safe for little ones or anyone with any level of compromised mobility (or vertigo). Other steps and step downs (from the driveway and in the house) were manageable. Things which would make it better: - Access to the water toys (kayaks, etc.) - were visible but locked up and unusable - making for pouty teenagers. - A clear path to the water. The “private beach” was overgrown and hard to maneuver. - Dish washer (would be a huge improvement and keep us coming back) Overall - terrific.

Weekend getaway

The cabin was on the lake as pictured. We weren't able to fish off the back area as we had hoped. The water was went down and it was all murkey. It would be nice if there was a washer and dryer but otherwise great place to stay.
