What a great place!

Our family absolutely enjoyed our recent stay here! Great location on St. Simons ... easy walk to the village and pier. The house was wonderful, very comfortable, plenty of room, had everything we needed, and was even better than our already high expectations. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and extremely accommodating which made the experience even that much better. I would recommend this property to anyone!

Historic snow and ice - still had a great time!

Our timing could have been better with the weather, but the house was great! Our trip happened to coincide with the first snow and ice storm in almost 40 years. The damage to the beautiful trees in the area was heartbreaking and caused island-wide power outages. Thanks to the gas fireplace and cozy blankets, we were able to keep warm-ish during the outage -- and we're from Michigan, we're used to being cold! The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Towards the end of the trip it was warm enough to enjoy a cup of coffee while sitting in the sun on the front porch. We didn't really get a chance to use the back porch and backyard but it is set up nicely. Great quiet neighborhood and close to restaurants, shops, etc. We will definitely look at this house again for our next trip .

The neighborhood was the perfect spot, easily walked to pier area and beaches. Home was very comfortable and nicely maintained, just as described. Highly recommended and we will certainly be back

Great rental at SSI

The house was very clean and comfortable. Great back porch with comfortable seating. Great location within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Check in process was very smooth. Would highly recommend. Hope to stay i this house again in the future.

Beautiful home and perfect location

We stayed in this rental on St. Simon's for a girls' beach trip and could not have found a more perfect house. The location is close to town and the beach. The house is equipped with everything you need for your stay. It is located on a quiet street near a great park. It has a lovely screened in porch overlooking a serene back yard. The owner was full of suggestions for restaurants, etc. and did everything possible to make our stay the wonderful trip it was. We are looking forward to our next trip to SSI and a return to this beautiful rental.

Great house for a young family and close walk to the beach!

We stayed in this house over Easter weekend and had a lovely time. Communication with Heather was better than any I’ve had at any rental! We brought our wagon, loaded up the kids, and it was a short walk to the beach. The primary bedroom was huge! It felt like a different house. Also… and this is my favorite part, that was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in at any rental or 5 star hotel. The pillows were awesome and I’m usually so picky. I slept great! I loved looking at all the plants in the backyard and the screened porch was fantastic. We cooked every meal and had everything we needed. Also a nice assortment of seasonings!

Wonderful Trip

From beginning to end, we had a wonderful vacation. The house was very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we could possibly want. Heather was very quick to reach out before and during our stay to make sure we were happy with everything. We loved the bikes that were provided and enjoyed rides every day. The house had beach chairs, a wagon, towels, cooler, umbrella and beach games. We didn’t have to bring anything but clothes. Highly recommend 😊

Such a comfortable getaway

Wow--where to start...stylish & comfortable home in great area of SSI--we walked to town and many nearby restaurants. The home was VERY clean, well appointed, very charming Pottery Barn meets the beach inspired. We spent so many hours on the screened porch with an amazing fire table, with separate standing heater for cooler nights. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, with an open floor plan that allowed our family group the right amount of togetherness and privacy. Heather has to be the friendliest and most communicative owner I've ever dealt with, (and I rent a lot of properties)--so helpful & knowledgeable of the area. My hope is to return for a warmer weather vaca soon. If you're looking for a great SSI experience, look no further.

An outstanding, welcoming home away from home!

Our week at this charming and well-appointed home was wonderful! First reaction when we walked in the door was "WOW!" Beautifully decorated with so many extras - we instantly felt welcomed and at home. The owner provided us with outstanding background, restaurant and touring information, which was quite helpful. The bedrooms and bathrooms set up perfectly for 2 (or more) couples or a family (great for an inter-generational family trip, or a group getaway), and the great room and kitchen provided ample space for relaxing, playing cards and meals. The screened porch and back yard are spectacular and you feel like you're in paradise there. This home is incredibly well situated to "The Village", the lighthouse, the East Beach and restaurants - all within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet, and the location also provides easy accessibility to venues that require driving. Would recommend this exceptional home to anyone looking for a perfect getaway on St. Simons Island, GA. Thank you to our hosts for all of their special touches and care. We had a wonderful week!

Great location

We had a great time! For parents of littles, our pack and play easily fit in master closet and there is an outlet for the sound machine. Plenty of towels for our week stay. Very clean. The guest bedrooms don’t have enough floor space for pack and play to be set up. There is no tub, but walk-in shower worked fine for bathing our 2 & 5 year old. We liked that the kitchen had everything you could think of and eating on screened in back porch was convenient. A golf cart is a great asset; renting for the week helped us get to and from beach easily at public beach access. You’ll want a tide table online to follow because public beaches get small at high tide. Mass whale or East beach has beach areas less affected by tide. We liked that the owner has lots of extras - bikes, large cooler, beach towels, beach chairs and even a picnic basket so less you need to pack. We found the neighborhood to be great - very quiet, close to tons of parks, restaurants, the pier village, lighthouse. We liked that there was not a pool because our two year old is very much the explorer and this felt like a safe option. Very little stairs (as so many condos have you hauling several flights). The owner was highly responsive and helpful! We did experience an unexpected problem during our stay but she handled it quickly with a lot of generousity.

Great place to stay in St. Simon’s

We have stayed in many homes using VRBO over the years and this one rates among the best. I care about the little things and I’m quite the clean freak, so it can be hard to give such a high rating. This is someone’s home they are sharing NOT the standard rental. It is well cared for with all the things one May need when on vacation. The type of things I enjoy and notice are nice bedding, comfortable beds, nice thick towels and plenty of them, plenty of storage , the list goes on. Great communication with the owner who truly wants you to enjoy your visit to their home. I highly recommend this home if you are considering visiting St. Simons Island. The location is great, on a quiet street and you can walk to most anything you want to do!

Perfect Place

This place was perfect for us. Quiet neighborhood with huge picture perfect trees draped in Spanish moss near restaurants and beach. Well appointed home, and everything functioned properly. Interior was tastefully furnished and comfortable. We were in town for a wedding and long weekend. Our host could not have been more gracious. We will definitely stay here again when we return to St Simons Island. I rarely give a review that is 100% positive but this place is great.

Lovely St. Simon’s Island

This property was amazing and perfect for our girls trip. The owners prepared an extremely helpful guide book not just detailing the rules of the property but detailing things to do and see, places to eat and other activities. The home was very well maintained, spacious and overall just enjoyable. Definitely would stay again if we go back.
