Located in the Sunset Shores community of New Buffalo stands this newly remodeled charmer. The Traveler is the perfect home for your next getaway. Just steps from New Buffalo's Marina and several restaurants as well as downtown New Buffalo. A new heated private pool (Open May 1st to October 31st) will be yours to kick back and relax in. Now featuring a brand new outdoor hot tub as well (open year round)! Your group will have access to New Buffalo's public beach about a mile from the property. All the amenities you come to expect in a quality rental including, central heat/air, internet, cable, washer/dryer, private heated pool, hot tub, gas grill, gas fireplace and more.

**All Guests required to sign a Guest Occupancy Agreement.

**Sunset shores beached have been impacted by storms and a couple of years of harsh winters. We hope they will be back to normal by the time of your rental. This has always been a smaller beach, there may be some, but we are hoping for more of the beach to come back by this Spring and early Summer. New Buffalo public beach is half a mile from house and has parking.

**Maximum four car parking.

Best House Ever.

My 4 teenage kids walked in and couldn't stop raving, whole house is gorgeous, comfortable, so comfortable. It's definitely been the restorative break our family needed. Pool is great too! 10/10 definitely recommend, we will be back.

Family get away

This is our 3rd time staying at this location and while the past 2 times were great and we made lots of memories, this trip was fantastic!!!! The upgrades to the house and decor were AMAZING!!! I did have to contact the rental agency and they were very quick to respond and even sent people to the house the next day… This was the best weekend we have spent here and CANNOT WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR

The Traveler New Buffalo Pool House

Nice surprise in New Buffalo. The house has been recently renovated and had nice furniture and quality appointments. Well stocked and family friendly spot. Short walk into town and good proximity to other attractions. A nice neighborhood park is just a few blocks away with swings and slides. The pool was heated and a great attraction for our grandchildren. Lots of games and pool floats provided. The beds, bedding, and towels were plentiful and good quality. The owners are thoughtful and even provided an ice cream gift card for our use while in town. This is our 7th year of renting for a full week in June this property was our best choice and most comfortable home yet.

Weekend family getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the weekend! This property was close to everything. We took kids and grandkids. Everyone had a ball. This property is very spacious. Lots of room for everybody. Very clean when we got there. And great price. We will definitely be looking at this property again for future getaways.

Great location. Very peaceful. House needs updating. Pool needs a cover. Spent a lot of time cleaning bugs out of pool. Arrival time is too late in the day and check out times to early. Seems two days are wasted. Overall we throughly enjoyed our time.

Nice vacation

Very clean, nice location. Kids had a ball in the pool. Would recommend new bedsprings on some of the beds. Also some of the dishes had cracks/chips. A k-cup coffeemaker would help. But overall, a great stay.

After a few things had to be repaired we had a great time

We were a little disappointed when we got there cause the pool wasn’t in working order. Heater had not been on and after my husband worked on it… he got the heater to work. The one bathroom shower did not work only faucet for babies to take a bath so we all had to share one shower. I do have to say they did try to fix everything to the best of their ability. Also the ice maker in freezer was not working

Loved the house, had so much fun with family and the pool.

All 3 toilets were rocky. Not solid. Spiders on the outside of the house. Take a hose and spray it off. My husband took a broom and wiped the front doors down. Other then that we loved it.

Great spot with private pool!

This was the perfect spot for you girls weekend getaway. The house was big enough and a great location. The private pool made for a nice spot with lots of room for everyone to lounge. The outdoor dining was wonderful to soak up the last few nice weekends of summer. The house was nice, there wasn’t a ton of resources to do all the cooking we did at the house. The plates were chipped and in rough shape and there were Cob webs all over but that was a quick fix.

OVERPRICED!!!!

To start off a 5-7 pm Check-In is ridiculous when check out is 10am. The property needs a lot of work. Remotes Missing for 2 Ceiling Fans so you can’t use them. Another Ceiling Fan is so loud and shaking you are afraid to use it. Ice Machine did not work. Refrigerator door brackets missing so you lose all that space for condiments. When you open one of the kitchen cabinets the inside side wall falls down. The Pool Cover was taken off and throw in the yard so it is killing the grass and holding water which is attracting Mosquitoes besides terrible to look at. The landscaping is all over-grown and really makes the house look bad from the outside. The house has no extra bedding at all. Lastly at 6:30am on our last day the house fire alarm went off for no reason waking everyone up and scaring us. When I emailed the office the reply was - Sorry for the wake up call -II will have maintenance check on it after you leave. We go every year on vacation with the same friends and stay in a house. We have never been this disappointed in a place.

Girls weekend

Wonderful place, clean and inviting! Had everything we needed for a group of 5 women! Bluefish rentals were great communicators as well for early check in. Will definitely be renting for my family of 5. Ideal location -walk to everything .

Girls’ weekend getaway

This house was perfect. 6 of us got away for the weekend and visited some breweries and wineries. The house was perfect, plenty of space for everyone to sleep and spread out. The heated pool was a dream and the house was super close to town so we could walk and shop and eat out. I will for sure stay there again! The whole rental process was great and clear with great communication.

Bachelorette party

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The property could have been a little cleaner. There were cob webs in the corners and dead bugs around the floor. I would recommend bringing extra pillows and blankets if you have a full 12 people staying there. The pool was wonderful. Super clean and warm. They supplied pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Overall we really enjoyed our stay

Pool was perfect

We had a lovely stay at Anchors Away! The heated pool was perfect and where we spent most of our time. The only downside was bees (we stayed the last week of August) who liked to buzz around the grill when we cooked. There was an apple tree hanging over it that they couldn’t resist. Cutting back the landscaping and the trees a bit would likely help the problem. We had most everything we needed in the kitchen, though aluminum foil and plastic wrap were missing. The place was very clean and well stocked with towels. The location was excellent as you could easily walk to downtown (we had some delicious ice cream one day). The association beach was really a hazard and should be blocked off - basically a steep corner with giant rocks and large waves. For an adult sightseer it might be worth a quick visit but I wouldn’t bring kids. The directions to the beach we’re not accurate either - no white fence anymore and sign is hidden. The public beach however is a quick drive and was quite nice and not too crazy crowded on a weekday in late August. People were respecting social distancing. There was some confusion with check-out procedures not being consistent (emailed vs posted sign in the place) but we just went with the easier set of procedures and called it good. The early check out and late check in were a bummer but understandable what with COVID cleaning procedures. All in all we would stay again - the heated pool and location was perfect.

Perfect for large families

Loved everything about this house. Pool was amazing with a lot of lawn chairs and tables even pool toys. Had everything in house we needed. The only suggestion I have is that the kitchen garbage bags were poor quality and kitchen didn’t have any salt and pepper. Also ceiling fan in tv room and master bedroom did not work.

great pool area

the pool is the centerpiece, great pool area. rest of property is decent, one newly remodeled bathroom, an issue with a faucet that was quickly repaired. walking distance to much of the town and beach.
