Cozy 1 bedroom cottage close to Ohiopyle State Park, hiking, biking, skiing and whitewater rafting. Great mountain views, restaurants and hiking within minutes of the cottage. Located in a perfect spot to enjoy everything the Laurel Highlands has to offer. Enjoy the peaceful setting and relaxing in the personal Jacuzzi spa. Good for couples and solo adventurers. This property is dog friendly.* Additional flat fee will be charged per pet after receiving your signed Rental Agreement. We also have a another rental in our detached garage apt 50 ft away and within view of the side of Cozy Cottage.

Cozy, Comfortable and Clean!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cottage! The home was well kept and clean. We utilized the spacious kitchen for cooking meals and it had everything we needed. The hot tub was the highlight! It was in good working order and hot when we arrived. The host even topped off the water for us during our stay upon our request! The cottage was conveniently located to Ohiopyle and the towns close by. We also loved that it was dog friendly and would definitely recommend!

Little get away before the holiday season.

I had some time saved up I needed to use up before the end of the year. I didn’t want to go to far from home but wanted to feel like I was still away. This place was perfect. It was just me and my little pup and we had a wonderful time. We just relaxed for a few days. Read a book, did some legos and went out for a nice dinner. Nothing exciting but just what I needed. The house was very clean and the kitchen was wonderful. My only suggestion is it might be time for some new bedding. It was pretty dated. The only thing that bummed me out was the fireplace. As it did have a fireplace it was electric. Most rentals I stay in have gas, i understand not trusting someone with a real fire in the unit but gas would’ve been a bit better. Definitely not a game breaker tho. Over all a great little place.

Great for couple get away

It is small but super appropriate for a nice couple get away. Listing was dead on. Very clean and hot tub was clean and enjoyable. Was cute ans cozy. Really enjoyed the Christmas tree and mantle greens and lights. If you plan to cook more than we did make sure you have all the items you need. Plenty of pots but one small frying pan. Other than that a cute and cpzy place for sure and relaxing.

Cozy but...

Cozy Cottage is just that, cozy. Inside was clean, warm, nicely furnished and good shower. Hot tub was set up and ready. Supply of toilet paper and paper towels. So why won't we not stay here again? -NO PRIVACY. We swallowed our pride and used the hot tub in view of the neighbors and the road. Little space to sit outside. Outdoor fire pit and chairs accessible only if you climb over a small wall and hike uphill. Chairs were in the brush. -The kitchen VERY poorly equipped and good only for heating food. The fridge was spotlessly clean but there was no ice. -No accessible outlets in the bedroom near the head of the bed for a medical device. -There was a swarm of gnats in the bedroom around the sliding glass door and we saw a mouse. -The fireplace was dirty and the directions for use were unclear. -No smoke detector. Some outlets did not work. -The hardest part was that we paid over $1,000/5 nights. Not worth the price.

Terrible! The ceiling was leaking in several locations causing pooling in some areas of the kitchen. The commode was leaking around the seal when flushed. Cobwebs present on light fixtures. Limited pillows for comfort, and a single blanket not suitable for multiple visitors. Ohiopyle rentals have been lackluster in their attempt to mitigate our stay. We did not stay the 2 nights due to the water leaks.

Nice, quiet getaway

We enjoyed our stay and I would consider booking again. The only negative things I found were some spiderwebs on the light fixtures/beams, but a quick dusting would take care of that. Everything else was clean and orderly. We didn't spend much time outside as our stay was late September and it was rainy, so I can't judge the grill or firepit area. The hot tub was clean and worked well.

Quick getaway

Inside the cottage was very ‘cozy’ though outside is a bit of surprise. Hot tub was great! But it’s close to the street and very close to 2 other properties. We checked in on a Sunday and had difficulty with the lights. We did not hear back until the next day. I let them know k cup coffee maker and toaster weren’t working properly, new was brought out to us.

It was a great place

I was worried after I booked I read the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. The location was great and the house was a very "cozy cottage" with plenty of space.

Beautiful, Cozy and Charming Cottage

This is a beautiful cottage that is truly cozy, well-mainained and well worth renting. The updates in this cottage are great - appliances are top-notch; the layout very good! I would, however, update the bed. We found the mattress a 3 on a scale of 5. Other than this, we highly recommend this Cozy Cottage.

Could not lock door when leaving

Was not able to leave property and explore safely because lock mechanism from outside did not work. Called to ask for help ant check in and did not get a response from anyone until sunset.

Cozy Cottage Needs Work

I begin this by stating that a good customer shold be honest when writing a review. Here are the positive things about the property: 1. Communication prior to our visit was excellent and getting access code was simple. The directions sent were excellent. 2. The hot tub was clean and very nice. Much enjoyed! 3. The bed in bedroom was extremely comfortable. Now it must be noted that it is a Full size bed. My wife and I sleep in a Queen and we actually slept great in the Full. We are smaller and fit in size and it brought back memories of our early years of marriage. If you are a larger person this will not work. 4. It is a cozy cottage with beautiful surroundings. 5. Great location to drive back into Pittsburgh or Ohiopyle. Now the negative: 1. The cottage is over run with mice. There is a basement door in the kitchen that has a whole that has been made for the mice to run in the house. We plugged it up when we discovered where they were coming from. We almost left. One mouse ran across the living room and went into the laundry room and I closed the door. We never opened it again. Needless to say, we never went into the basement area. SCARY!!! 2. The shower in the bathroom was moldy and dirty. Who ever is cleaning the property is doing a very poor job. I suggest hiring a new cleaning service and bring some bleach. 3. The entire property is in need of some TLC. The frame on the front door is falling apart and there is rotting wood everywhere. We mostly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Cottage

Lovely little cottage. Perfect place for a quick getaway. It was a short stay for me but would like 2 stay a little longer next time. Only thing was the fireplace was not working. It seemed like there was a small leak from the rain that may have damaged it. Overall pleased.

We LOVED our stay at the cozy cottage. From our check in to check out we felt so comfortable in this space. It was the perfect amount of space for two adults and our dog. We were about 20 minutes from Ohiopyle State Park which was our main goal of the trip. When we weren't out exploring it was so nice to come back to the cottage and relax. The hot tub was also a nice perk. The kitchen had all the accomodations needed. Check in was very smooth. The space was clean. Just be aware that the driveway is somewhat tight and is shared with two other rentals, but there is space at the bottom of the driveway to park too. And if you are bringing a pet, during our stay some of the neighbors dogs got out of their fence and came into the rentals' yard. It was a beautiful stay and we would definitely come back!

Very Nice Property

The cabin itself was very nice, it had just about everything we needed, I received our check in instructions on plenty of time to review them before our arrival, and everything worked very well. Our only hiccup was trying to lock the door when we left, but it was quickly sorted out and we had a great time. As for the amenities, there were an unexpected amount of cake pans for such a small cabin, and there were no sponges to do dishes with. The water had a bit of a metallic taste, but that very well could have been due to the fact that the property was on well water. It was still a great cabin for a weekend getaway!

Little oasis; loved the cabin

Overall, we were EXTREMELY happy with the property. It was just as advertised. Place was very clean upon arrival. Hot tub was clean and working properly. We very much enjoyed the fire pit. Just a few small things that were a little disappointing: We asked for a possible early check-in and were told it would be a $55 charge for an hour early. While I realize they don't have to approve an early check in, this seemed a bit extreme. Pictured is a small table outside near the hot tub, but there was no table there for us to eat outside. There were two adults staying in the cabin (both females) and literally were provided only 2 towels. This was VERY disappointing. I, myself (with long hair) use two towels when I shower. With 2 people AND a hot tub, 2 towels for the entire weekend wasn't even close to enough. Other than that, we really did love the place. One other thing to note: they do ask that all dishes be put away prior to exiting the premises. That's totally fine, but should warn about the dishwasher or remove this request. Our checkout was at 11 so we wanted to enjoy breakfast at the cabin. We ran the dishwasher at 9:30 and it was still running when we had to leave at 11. I don't think it would be fair to expect guests to have eaten and dishwasher loaded AND emptied by 9AM, 2hrs before actual check-out. I feel it makes more sense to have it loaded and started, but leave the emptying to cleaning crew so that guest may enjoy the cabin fully, until they leave. Just my two cents. Again, overall we loved it and these things I've mentioned would NOT prevent me from staying again.

Total misrepresentation.

Pictures were taken at a significantly different time frame. Mouse droppings and signs of rodents were there and weren't cleaned up. We saw multiple mice when we were there. Electrical issues. Lights didn't work. Cookie sheet in drawer was greasy and dirty. Communication about problems was terrible. Never got a call back about problems. Answering service was limited to what they could do. It was our 25th anniversary and we weren't satisfied with our stay. Property needs better maintenance. Pictures not accurate.
