The Lazy Eagle Cottage is a perfect place to unwind. Special rates for long stay

The cottage is over 1100 sq.ft. complete with all the amenities of home. The main floor has a spacious living room with fireplace and TV, separate dining room with four chairs, full kitchen with eating bar and stools for convenience. The main bedroom has king size bed and main bathroom is four piece. There is a washer and dryer on the main floor. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The loft has twin beds and TV with full bathroom. The deck at the back is spacious with table, chairs and BBQ for your evening enjoyment. The front deck has a small table and chairs as well. There is storage for bikes, golf clubs and other items beside the house. The parking is in the driveway and in front of our cottage. There are visitor parking spots just steps away. There is internet and cable in the cottage. A 15 minute walk brings you to beautiful Rathtrevor Beach where you will find bathroom facilities, and picnic tables in the shade with a huge tidal beach to enjoy! A 5minute walk to mini golf and bumper cars for the kids. Parksville city centre is 5 minutes by car. Coombs is a delightful place to visit to see the Goats on the Roof....just a 30 minutes drive. Englishman River is a short drive for a lovely hike in the woods. The North Island Wildlife recovery centre is well worth a visit with animals rescued and given a second chance!

Hidden little Gem

Travelling from the UK and being a first time user of HomeAway I was a little bit nervous but the communication with Cheryl and Chris was exceptional. As we were travelling with my 2 year old we inquired about a crib. Although there was not one there Cheryl and Chris promptly bought one for the property. The property itself was very clean and exceeded our expectations with good facilities. My daughter loved having the Mezzanine floor as her "hideout". The swimming pool complex was a nice to have and we went 3 times in our week stay. The local area is beautiful and we had some good days on RathTrevor beach as well as the Community Park. Lots of fun things to do in the area with a Wildlife Rescue Centre, Butterfly world and a Winery to visit. Parksville is a good size town with all the facilities you could hope for and only 40 min drive North of Nanaimo. If we are to return to Parksville I would definitely be going to Cheryl and Chris to hire their amazing place again.

Lovely Spring Break

This place had everything we could possibly need. Lots to do in the area and the pool was appreciated, as well. The beds are very comfortable and the house is nice and quiet, so we slept very well. Tip: crack a window open a little bit in the morning so you can hlisten to the birds singing!

Perfect spot!

The Lazy Eagle cottage was perfect for our stay. We were in BC for our daughter's wedding. The cottage had absolutely everything that we needed and even things we didn't know we would need! Would highly recommend. Great location, lots of space, very quiet. We would stay here again.

Nice home away from home

We enjoyed our stay here! Loved the proximity to Rathtrevor and Parksville, and the kids loved the pool. The back deck is a lovely, private and quiet space for evening meals or a drink after the kids were in bed.

Parksville Gem

We appreciated this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, newer, clean home. It fit our needs for four people perfectly. It is located in a development with similar short-term rental cottages. A striking feature is its location next to the very large Rathtrevor Park, which features expansive beaches and hiking/walking trails through the forest. We also took advantage of other diverse beaches and hiking opportunities in other nearby parks.

A clean place to relax and unwind

Stay was excellent, hosts are spectacular. Family was able to relax and actually have fun. Beach is ultra close. Pool is clean, hot tub is clean, area is clean. Highly recommend staying at this property.

The perfect vacation home!

Upon entering this house my 5 year old daughter squealed in joy and declared, "this place is perfect, its so beautiful!" She then ran up the stairs and danced around while looking down at me over the loft railing. To say this house was perfect for our family is an understatement. We had everything we needed and more, from all the essentials to beach toys, and all the space we needed. This house and location was perfect for our 14 day vacation, being central to all the amazing places to explore.

Wonderful and Relaxing!

Loved our stay here. It is clean, has all the things you need. Excellent communication and the welcome binder was very handy. This complex is very quite and so close to the beach. We would definitely recommend this place to others!

Lovely cottage

We enjoyed the fully modern accommodation. While the cottages were close to each other, the landscaping provided privacy and both front and back decks were appreciated. Didn't use the pool -- our focus was the beach. However, the ice cream at Rip Tide Lagoon was excellent. We definitely recommend this cottage. We recommend this

Spring Break

Had a great time at your place. Everything was as described with everything that we needed. Had an issue with the pool keys but they was resolved the next day. Would like to stay again. Maybe in the summer when it’s a bit warmer.

We enjoyed our stay,.

The property is good, great location, quiet. The one problem was in the cleanliness. There was sticky jam on the peninsula, the dish rag was “stinky”. We threw it out and replaced it with a new, clean one. The frying pan and one of the pots were dirty with grease on the pan, we washed everything before we used it. Other than that, it was okay. I can guarantee it is cleaner when we left than when we arrived.
