This beautifully decorated log home offers a bright and cheery setting along with an astounding view of the ski slopes. You'll enjoy the views while relaxing in the private hot tub on the back deck. This home offers a true mountain feel with beautiful, vaulted ceilings and a large stone fireplace. The charming kitchen is fully equipped and comes with the conveniences of a stove/oven, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, and more. The living room offers a 55-inch Smart TV with cable, DVR, and a DVD player. You may also enjoy the use of wireless internet and a stereo w/CD player.

The Primary bedroom is located on the upper level and offers a king-sized bed, a flat-screen TV with cable, and a full private bathroom. Both the second and third bedrooms are located on the lower level. The second bedroom offers a queen-sized bed along with a charming bay window. The third bedroom offers a single-over-double bunk and a trundle bed. This bedroom also features a Smart TV with Roku!

Clean. Great location.

The place was clean, within walking distance of and with excellent views of the ski lift. The only minor complaint was with a misplaced pool table and worn down pool cues. Otherwise great spot!

Great view and location !

We loved it the first time we came so this is our second time now with you. I rebooked it because we loved many features this cabin has. There are a few things that might be nice to have some maintenance done. But overall this cabin is in a great location, has the most beautiful views of the ski mountain, and is very cozy.

Moonridge

moonridge is the place to be. Amazing view of the ski mountain, with the sunrise shines right through the window, priceless. The cabin itself is gorgeous, upkept, and clean. The jacuzzi seals the deal. On a cold night, gazing at the mountain tops covered in ice, is something wonderful. This is my favorite place. Highly recommended!!

Nice Cabin

Every thing was very nice as advertised. We enjoyed our stay for the most part. However they should have portable fans as it was very hot in the cabin and had no A/C. Luckily we brought a fan with us because when we arrived the oven had been left on 350` and it was pretty warm outside. Only other issue was there was no way to turn the fan up or down as it was too high up to reach and no way to get to it. Other than that it was fabulous!

This is a nice property. The listing should emphasize the stairway from parking to property. Rental office not conveniently located, key lockbox would be very useful. Dishwasher would not start. Pool sticks terrible. Thank you.

Beautiful house, dirty hot tub

The house is really nice, just as described. Lots of stairs but that didn’t bother me. Super comfy living area and nice pool table that the kids enjoyed. The view is beautiful & the house is close to one of my favorite Big Bear hiking areas. The inside of the house was clean with good amenities. The hot tub was awful, and I specifically filtered for a hot tub. The water was cloudy and there was dirt in the bottom. It also needed water but that would not have been a big deal. We weren’t comfortable using the hot tub because of the water condition. I paid a hot tub fee so I reached out to the management company once we got home and they refused to refund my fee. They said that the technician said that he serviced the tub before we were there (duh, like he’s going to admit to doing a terrible job or skipping it altogether?). I will have to go through my credit card company for a refund. If you are specifically looking for a property with a hot tub, don’t rent this place, there are plenty of other options. Also I would not use Big Bear Getaways again. Really sad about this because the house is great in a perfect location.

Beautiful view looking directly at the slopes. clean and well maintained

Overall we had a very nice stay at this location. However a number of things need to be pointed out. Aside from being given the wrong set of keys at check-in delaying being able to occupy the unit, we were impressed upon the cleanliness of the unit and the beautiful view facing the ski slopes. But a couple things could have made our stay more comfortable. While the master bed was fine, the other two bedroom beds were extremely uncomfortable resulting in terrible nights sleep for my two grown sons. They complained daily about the hardness of the mattresses. Two of the reasons we chose this property were the hot tub and the pool table. But we only used the hot tub once as both of us who used it came out with a rash. Not sure what caused it but both of us had small bite-like bumps when we got out. The pool table looked like the picture, but it was not a full sized pool table which was very disappointing. A larger table would not have fit in the room (it was difficult to shoot from both ends of the table due to walls and railings), and of 3 cues one was bent, one didn't have a tip and all 3 didn't have the rubber bumpers on the base. The living room furniture was solid but also very well worn. So we would give this property a solid 3 stars for it's cleanliness and location, and with a modest investment in upkeep it could easily go up higher.

The View is worth it !

Beautiful small cabin - fantastic views. Especially from the top floor. Kitchen is fully equipped. The beds were comfortable. The jacuzzi with a view was the favorite of all. Not fans of the stairs to take down groceries, stroller, suitcases, ect. They are pretty steep and a lot of them. You park at the top parking spot then you have a tons of little stairs to go down to the house and then back up to go back. We were pretty winded especially with the altitude difference. The master bedroom is up another flight of stairs once you’re inside cabin. That was inconvenient for us with so many things we needed to bring back and forth. Also we had a lot of trash bags and you have to take them with you at the end and take them to another address to put in a dumpster. Our cars were packed and I didn’t like having the smelly trash of days inside the car. I’d have the cleaning crew do this not the guest. Other than those two things, the cabin was loved by us all. That wrap around porch with the view and jacuzzi all day and night is very enjoyable. The manager was great - friendly, communicative, accessible.

Great house but noticeably dirty from previous stays

Could be 5 stars if the cleaning staff had done a better job. Great location, cute as a button, comfy beds, couches, great wood burning fireplace. However, kitchen was SO dirty- actual food particles in the drawers, dirty silverware, dirty counters. Hot tub was dirty with low-ish water level. There were tons of extra pillows, but no pillow cases or extra sheets. Only two parking spaces with the only extra available parking 3.5 miles away- just note to self.

Certainly acceptable

All in all a decent place. Property management company was very friendly and helpful. The housekeeping certainly could have been better considering the overall cost of the rental but nothing to ruin the trip. Lots of rules and regulations which i suspect come from the city itself which made things feel not as relaxing as a weekend away is supposed to feel. I would stay here again because the location was great for what we were looking for.

1st time in Big Bear

Nice location and great views of the mountains. Jacuzzi was the best part of our stay! Home needs some improvements, downstairs toilet seat is very loose, ran out of hot water upstairs during shower, dead flies on window seals, ants on kitchen counters, bring your own kitchen whisk, baking sheet and coffee filters, only gas grill available, extra pillows in closet had stains/no covers and downstairs bed was extra extra firm:(

Great cabin for families

There are just a couple of things needing some tlc at this cabin but that’s true of ALL cabins. Nothing enough to even make a complaint over. This place was beautiful, visually pleasing and great for families. Master bed was super comfy, I heard the queen bed downstairs was FIRM. View from the spa was epic. Loved the pool table but they need more working pool sticks, most were broken. Fantastic time there I would rent it again!

Overall quite good. For the price - okay. Some cleanliness issues.

Nice setup, although it wasn't clear that you have to use stairs that go down about 20 feet from the (very tight for 3 car) parking platform. This would be more of an issue with elderly, or in snow/ice conditions. Cleanliness was borderline 3 stars, as we did find some pan lids and cooking utensils and a few glasses with food on them (had to be hand washed before use). And there were some mouse droppings in the kitchen (this we reported and I believe it will be addressed). The property rental agency were always friendly and fairly prompt in returning calls. However, after a week, I am still waiting to hear if the 2 shirts I left in a closet have been found. As for location and neighborhood, the neighborhood seems just fine. The location is about a quarter of a mile from the ski resort base lodge. For us, with two young children in our group, it was a bit far for walking for the kids, but not too bad to drive them down, then one person drive back up and walk down (and of course someone would have to walk back up and reverse the process for returning). It was a busy weekend, and I suppose that if the area was not crowded, that you might be able to park closer to the Lodge. For the price I would have liked to have found a "ski in and ski out" property but it is what it is..... Anyway, the cabin was arranged very nicely for our purposes, with the two rooms downstairs being convenient for parents and kids, and the upstairs bed with bath good for us grandparents (I don't FEEL like a grandfather). Besides the mentioned items above, the cabin was clean. The hot tub was very nice. TV and wifi worked nicely. Kitchen was reasonably provided for (pans, utensils, etc.). If we didn't have some issues with colds in the family, we would have enjoyed it all more. But even so, it was a very nice.. Oh one other suggestion would be to have at least one fire's worth of wood there for use. As it were, we never did have a fire in the fireplace. (So you might want to bring some with you).

Winter wonderland

Had a wonderful time! Location is great, right near slopes. No cell service though which is tough. Said there was a land line for local calls but didn’t see one anywhere. Bring a hair dryer since there isn’t one there; especially if you’re going during the wonder!

Not a summer home

I do not recommend this place in the summer. There is no AC ( if there was it didn’t work) and even if leaving all of the windows open and turning on the 2 ceiling fans in the entire house on high all night doesn’t cool it for long once the sun beams into the house on a hot summer day. I imagine it being a cozy place for the winter with great views of the ski resort. It seemed like the place hadn’t had an renter for a while as the place was dusty and grimy. Bathroom tubs are dirty. I’m glad my children are old enough for showers as taking a bath in any of the tubs would be disgusting. The downstairs bathroom door handle doesn’t close properly and doesn’t lock. The flat screen TV they mention in the master is tiny and the sound immediately goes to zero. Kitchen dinnerware has seen better days and was a hot mess. I felt like running EVERYTHING through the dishwasher and cleaning the insides of the drawers that held the kitchen tools. But I didn’t because I was supposed to be on VACATION. The beds were comfortable. The pool table was a plus. Maybe they’ll fix everything I mentioned. This was not my first rental and it is definitely at the bottom of my list.

Wonderful cabin!

The check in process was very easy and quick. The staff was superb! We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin has beautiful views of Bear Mountain! The cabin was very peaceful and beds were very comfortable to sleep on. There were plenty of towels and extra blankets. Would definitely stay here again!
