Highly disappointed
We booked this location as our wedding accommodation for our first look and our day after BBQ. After communicating with the host they agreed to allow us to have our day after bbq here on the condition that we do the event clean up for it which was 100% agreeable with us. When check in day came we received no instructions of how to check in until I messaged them. They had forgotten we were coming. The lawns were being mowed as we arrived. The pool was green and the spa was broken. Neither were usable for the duration of our stay. There was a wasps nest outside in the deck and wasps in one of the upstairs bedrooms. The cleaner hadn’t been but did a quick visit once we mentioned to the hosts that the place wasn’t clean. Upon mentioning everything to the hosts they cancelled our stay giving us a full refund but allowed us to stay for the duration of our booking which was a appreciated considering that our day after event had to be cancelled as the place was generally not safe- specifically for children to be in. The place can have 12 people but doesn’t have 12 of anything in the kitchen and has generally just been left as an unkept weekend family home and not set up properly for guests. The neighbouring land also hosted horses which was nice but we weren’t made aware that people would be coming to look after their horses at any hours and their access was through the same driveway as us making it far less private than we thought.
