Beautiful Spot on the Lake
The view from both the dock and the main house were fantastic! Beds were comfortable. We had 6 adults and 4 kids; living/common space was tight but we made it work. Spent most of our time outside anyways.
Ceiling fans in each room was really nice; would have liked more lighting (lamps) throughout so as not to rely completely on overhead lighting. Bunkie was further away from main property than I would have liked -- we thought we'd use that for the family with the young kids but ultimately didn't feel comfortable being that far away from them in the evening when we were enjoying the fire and they were asleep.
Internet was sufficient for browsing/social media etc., but insufficient for streaming football game or much remote work.
Finally, as a future guest I would recommend asking about all possible fees/fines as well as check out expectations/procedures - we were required to wash linens and take garbage to dump to avoid penalties and weren't expecting that.
My family and I rented this cottage based on the past reviews and the cottage description. Unfortunately, the cottage was not properly described and was filthy when we arrived. We were assured by the owners that the cottage has been cleaned, but we did send photos of both buildings that proved otherwise. A cleaner was sent a day later but by then, we had already cleaned a bit. The kitchen had a tap that wasn't properly attached, stinky dish cloths, oven mitts with holes, drawers and cupboards that hadn't seen a cloth in months and a filthy oven. Too many things to list. The buildings themselves were not properly described. The main cottage only has 2 bedrooms - one with a king bed, the second with a queen bed and a double mattress on a queen box spring. We had to wash all the sheets as they smelled horrible or hadn't been washed between visits. There were not towels or toilet paper for us to use. We had to bring our own. There was no 3rd bedroom in the main cottage - it was a murphy bed in the living room which is not super convenient when there with a group. The bathroom is actually 3 spaced - toilet/sink, tub/washer, toilet/sink, all separated by sliding barn doors.
The bunkie was a bachelor style - the was one room with a bed, love seat and small kitchen. There were no sheets or blankets on the bed. The bathroom has a sink, corner shower and sink. Overall, it was a disappointing week for the amount that we paid and the description that this was appropriate for 10 people.
Property is very nice and communication with owners was great, thankfully. Generator didn’t kick in after a power outage which was problematic … that needs fixing The internet service wasn’t good but should have been with the service level they’re paying for. Beyond the technical glitches, it’s a great propert and location on the lake.

Hi Our names are Ana & Sarka. We are both professional realtors in the GTA. We are good friends and purchased this home together.
Why they chose this property
We both wanted a lake front home. So together we did it. The lake is stunning and huge. The water is crystal clear and weed free. We also liked that the cottage was new and we wouldn't have to worry about renovations. We loved the dock and the ability to go boating or jet skiing.
