The Space:
Welcome to Stone Ledge Refuge with views and a private hot tub!

This one-of-a-kind property showcases stunning valley views, a private hot tub, a perfect location, and plenty of space for you and your family! You and your family will love to gather in the cozy living room for group movie nights, sit on the porches, and watch the sunsets, or enjoy swinging on our porch swing! In the winter, you can gather around the stacked stone fireplace in the sizable window-filled room. When hunger strikes, head into the well-appointed kitchen to prepare delicious meals together. Dine at the table fit for seven.

There are three total levels to this home. Downstairs you will find the primary suite and sleeper sofa. The sleeper sofa is located in the downstairs living room. The middle level features the living room, kitchen, dining room, and second deck access. On the top floor, you will see bunk beds to use for additional sleeping space.

In addition to the beautifully crafted interior of this home, you will also find two breathtaking decks. These decks boast spectacular views of the valley, a porch swing, and a hot tub. The deck is covered so that it can be enjoyed rain or shine, and because the cabin is located in the woods, you can enjoy your privacy for a truly peaceful getaway.

This property overlooks the bluff of Lookout Mountain and is a short drive to Chattanooga TN, St Elmo,  Cloudland Canyon State Park, and the flight park!

Very Nice House - Amazing Location

The house was very nice and fully furnished with everything you could possibly need to be comfortable for the week. From the fully furnished kitchen to the bathroom supplies, there is very little you have to bring with you. We docked a star only because of a challenge we ran into early, between VRBO, the host, and our travel insurance not working, but this has nothing to do with the house itself or the location. The location with it's breathtaking view is definitely 5 star! Just make sure if you purchase the travel insurance it goes through, because without it, it is very difficult to make changes. After, that initial challenge both VRBO and the host were very pleasant to deal with and very attentive to our needs and communication. Would absolutely recommend staying here for the view alone, but other aspects as well. The hot tub on the deck overlooking the valley was worth the price of the trip by itself!

Perfect getaway for reconnecting and disconnecting

We absolutely LOVED our stay and hope to return again! The location is perfect, gorgeous, relaxing yet entertaining and simply breathtaking! It was exactly what our family needed and we had a hard time leaving. The communication was almost immediate, always courteous and super supportive. We HIGHLY recommend this home, but at the same time we hope to always be able to get away to it :)

Nice Getaway

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! The property manager was very quick to respond to our concerns about the leaking fridge, broken window, and leaking window in the master bedroom. My husband picked up trash under the deck. There was a lot of beer cans, bottles, and plastic bags caught on the limbs by the cliffs. Maybe have the cleaners check every so often on the trash around the cliffs. The hot tub also had mold on the jets and in the water. I think it just needs a little TLC to get it back to a 5 star review, especially for the price. We had a great time and hope to come back. The best views we’ve ever experienced, for sure!

We enjoyed our visit

My husband, me, our grand daughter plus niece nephew, and great nephew came on a Thursday -Sunday. It was exactly as described. Only recommendation we have would be a bigger hot water tank. Hot don’t last long. We had a small problem when a window feel out of second floor but they was quick to respond and had it fix asap. Very easy communication and clean. Best view I have had.

Exceptional View and Sunsets from Balcony

We have stayed at a few cabins in the mountains with amazing balconies and views but this location is really unique. The cliff edge and height with hang gliders and a hot tub with a swing seat made it really nice. The house is perfect for our family of 4. The king bed is on the bottom floor with its only bathroom and separate living room area and access to one of the balconies with the hot tub. The kids liked the bunk bed but we didn’t let them sleep on the top bunk because it didn’t have a safety bar so we used the sofa bed (there are 2) but they are just sofa mattresses. There is a ton of windows so if you don’t sit on the balcony (it’s windy on some days (you need to secure chairs and the hot tub too because of the strong winds but the views from the inside is amazing too! The only room to sleep in with shades is the master. The bunk and sofa beds don’t have shades. Bring an eye mask if needed. The fire place, dinging table, comfortable furniture and kitchen with what you need to cook and eat in. It’s a great place and would recommend everyone to check it out.

We stayed there in August. The property is well equipped, clean, comfortable, and ambient. The furnishings are unique and classy. The view is amazing. It was just what we needed.

Last minute trip away

Overall we had a great time here. It was a short stay with my in laws and I was excited to show them the area as they have never been. I think the place could use some TLC especially considering the price, but it was lovely and the view and hot tub was amazing. I would recommend this place.

About 15-30 minutes from most activities we did, the views are incredible and it was so nice watching the sun rise and set over the mountains. Incredibly clean and had everything we needed (even lots of throw blankets!!) Well be back!

Stunning Views & Great Location

What an amazing time we had over the July 4th weekend. We were in town to hike at Cloudland Canyons, and this home is close by. But as a bonus, we got STUNNING sunset views off the deck and had fun watching hang gliders soar nearby and then land in the valley below. The home was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen well stocked for cooking groceries we brought. The hot tub was clean and positioned for incredible sunset views. Previous reviews mentioned no deck furniture. That's due to the potential for high winds in that location. So we brought some fold-out chairs and it worked perfectly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quiet, comfortable, clean home and hope to return again!
