Lovely getaway

The property is spacious, clean and very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and reconnecting with family who have recently moved to Cape Breton. A good time had by all. Beautiful place situated on a very nice part of the Mira River.

Amazing property!

This home is not only beautiful, but it is kept immaculate. We were so comfortable and happy here. The host, Catherine, answered any question that I had, fast to communicate back, and gave us a great list of info and any instructions we needed. I would stay here again and again if I were to visit this area again. Perfect stay, well, except that it wasn't long enough. Thank you so much for having us Catherine!

Welcome to Black Line & Spoon cottage! It is named after the lyrics from “Song for the Mira” written in 1973 by Allister MacGillivray. It is a celtic folk song that is well known by Cape Bretoners. The lyrics speak of the singer’s longing for the Mira River and his desire to return.

My husband was born and raised in the area. I am from Quebec and always loved vacationing in Cape Breton. We are pleased to be able to share our little piece of paradise with VRBO guests.

We hope that you enjoy your stay and the beauty & serenity of the Mira River and Cape Breton.

I am bilingual and happy to assist our guests in French. I am bilingual and will be happy to assist you in French if needed.
