BEWARE - House really needs some TLC
When we got to the house, the house was filthy. The house really needed a good cleaning. We called the property management and was told that there was a housekeeping manager retreat in AZ last week. They would send someone out to clean again. They only dusted the living room, but OK whatever. That same night we went to do the dishes and the dishwasher didn't work. Day 2, my husband went to do laundry (he likes to do laundry) and the washer was broken. It didn't go to the spinning cycle. So again, we called the management company. They sent someone out on Monday and we were told that they knew about the problems from the previous renter. We were never told about these issues. So we had to manually wash dishes, which I am ok with, but feel that I shouldn't have to when we paid almost $6k for the week. My husband had to ring the clothes out if he wanted to do laundry, which is ridiculous. Finally the ice machine didn't work either. NONE of this was fixed during the week that we were there. We will NOT being renting this house again. It is such a shame because the house is at a great location, but the house is falling apart. I also took pictures for the management company where there were holes in the walls, mildew in the bathrooms, and there was even a sweatshirt left on the curtain rod in the bedroom from a previous guest. All in all, this was probably the worst place I have stayed at any beach location.
