The property is unique—a former ranch on the Williamson River, and it has a big, open back porch overlooking the river. There is plenty of space inside for sleeping and lounging, and the kitchen is functional. It’s also private and quiet, and the star gazing at night is amazing!
Our visit was fantastic! We loved this little out of the way home. The property itself is so well taken care of and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked too which is a nice bonus. We loved eating dinner on the back patio, and watching the wildlife all around. We’re already excited to come back for another visit.
We had a very enjoyable stay while exploring the Crater Lake area. The deck was great - we loved eating outside & sitting outside to watch the wildlife and the river. House was very spacious and our family of 5 ( parents + 3 young adult children) had plenty of room to spread out when needed. Would definitely stay here again.
My family of 8, including 3 young children and 2 dogs, very much enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we could possibly need. It felt comfortable and homey and welcoming. We all enjoyed the dock and access to the river that was safe enough for everyone to swim and paddleboard. A muskrat visited the dock, there was a beaver den nearby and bald eagles overhead. We all agreed that we would love to visit again. And, after we left, Tanya found a stuffed animal that was left behind and she was kind enough to mail it to my granddaughter -- above and beyond, indeed!
The house was clean and very well stocked. Yes, the house is dated, especially the kitchen, but everything worked so it was not a problem. The highlight of the house was the back deck and access to the river. It became the hangout spot for the family to watch all the wildlife. There were lots of birds, chipmunks, otters and cows to keep us entertained. We also enjoyed our nightly family time eating dinner on deck, watching the sun set, then the appearance of bats at dusk which swooped all around us catching bugs. The house was an easy 40 minute drive to Crater Lake south entrance to the location was perfect. Highly recommend this property!
Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay at this ranch on the Williamson River. The house is one of the most comfortable home's that we have rented. The beds were very comfortable and the layout of the house and furniture was very accomodating for family dinners and movie watching. The backyard is lovely. We rented kayaks from Sky Lake Wilderness. They delivered the kayaks to a launch point a few miles up the river (and they picked the kayaks at the end of our trip) and we paddled back to the house and kept the kayaks for our stay. It was really nice being able to have this river access. I highly recommend this company. Crater Lake is an easy drive. The wetlands in the area are beautiful The wildlife was abundant: eagles, egrets, ducks, geese, river otters. We enjoyed the cows daily journey into the fields right next to the house. Very picturesque. If you are looking for a place to unwind and enjoy nature...I highly recommend this home. (my only recommendation...shade umbrellas for the back patio. It is in direct sunlight all day long and the patio offers little shade)
Stayed here for the proximity to crater lake national park, but the property itself has plenty to do, great for kids and dogs, house was clean and spacious
the house was awesome! It was clean and had plenty of amenities. There was a great dock that you could launch your water toys from, we had paddle boards, canoe and kayaks. There was lawn all the way down to the river from the back of the house, our dogs thought they were as free as could be. There were river otters and we even saw some young muskrats. We were close Klamath Lake and other tributaries. We had a very enjoyable, relaxing, river fun time. We would come back again!!!
This is a great vacation home! The adult children (including the 60+ yo!) loved jumping into three river from there dock. There's so much space inside and out that the 9 of us could spread out and relax. The location was perfect for our visit to Train Mountain Railroad Museum. The communication with the ghost was seamless with quick responses. She even offered to bring us a different blender if the ones that was there didn't work! (But the one that was there worked fine!) Thanks, again, for a wonderful stay.
Clean, comfortable very private and relaxing. Two seniors and a thirty year old daughter. Other daughter, husband, and small baby came by twice. Very good outdoor space to relax.
As a retired Insurance company CEO, the unrailed deck and irregular deck stairs made me a little twitchy. Stay half sober and you will be fine.
Overall, Highly recommend!
We spent a couple of nights at Silverbow while visiting family in the area. You can’t beat this place four a great family weekend with a beautiful view and easy access to Crater Lake. The town had a 4th of July parade and it was fun to watch. Tanya was very responsive and easy to work with. This ranch made some beautiful memories for The kids!
What an incredible place to stay! This property is absolutely gorgeous - the house, the landscaped yard, the dock overlooking the river, the view of the ranch…it’s all such a treat! We jumped off the dock, watched the fish jump, played in the yard, watched the cotton-candy sunset, and made the short, convenient drive to Crater Lake. The house is fully stocked with anything you may need, making it an ideal home away from home. The beds are comfortable, the house was very clean, the kitchen fully equipped…we would definitely return!
Great stay — plenty of room for the 7 of us. Owners supplied everything we needed - including good coffee. Good location for all our hiking adventures and Crater Lake.
Can’t wait to return to this beautiful home! My husband and son had two great fishing days on the river, we had relaxing family meals in the dining room, and sublime evenings on the deck. We wanted for nothing, the attention to detail was awesome and Tanya was a great host.
This home I gave a 4 star rating primarily because of problems experienced by 2 elderly guests. Entering home the step risers seemed higher than normal. Lighting also left something to be desired throughout the home. The deck probably is no higher than 24 inches but would be desirable to have a railing and deck will need to be replaced one of these days in my opinion.
Only problem expressed by several in out family group of 7 were comments of time to replace mattresses on twin beds we used.
The location of the home is great. Tanya was great to respond to any of our questions and all in all we had a good time and would recommend the home with the above caveat to the old timers.
We came out to celebrate one of our daughters birthday, and we couldn’t have asked for a better setting! We loved the property, access to the river, the doc was great! Kids and adults alike loved this place! The kids already want to go back!
A terrific spot to stay when visiting the Williamson river. Our party of 10 (grandpas, dads, and sons) enjoyed the house as a central spot to gather, cook, and celebrate the day of fishing with local guides.
Tanya was a great host. The house was fully ready on check-in with the A/C on and everything super clean and tidy.
Would highly recommend staying here.
