The Cottage Keeper - Meredith Lodging

This keeper of a cottage has an exquisite location on a quiet side street minutes on foot to both the Pacific Ocean and Cape Kiwanda, the heart of the action in Pacific City. This wood-lined home has casual charm perfect for sandy feet and a relaxed attitude, but a vaulted ceiling, and historic elegance from the vaulted ceiling. With two bedrooms on the main level and a romantic king bedroom tucked under the planked eaves of the loft, this is a great home to share with friends or family. Outside you’ll find a fire pit surrounded by chairs for roasting marshmallows under the vivid, starry skies of the coast. Climb the dune a few hundred yards from your cottage and you’ll see the hulk of Haystack Rock rising out of the Pacific. Walk down the beach to Cape Kiwanda and join surfers, tide-poolers, dune-climbers, and beach-combers enjoying the Cape. Sample award-winning beers at the Pelican Pub right on the beach, or an upscale cocktail and meal at the Meridian Restaurant. Purchase dory-caught fish at the nearby market, rent surf equipment at Moment Surf, or grab coffee and pastry at Stimulus Coffee + Bakery—it’s all right out your door and mere blocks away. When you’re ready to explore the beauty of the Three Capes Scenic Route or trek up the North Oregon Coast, it’s an easy day trip; Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, and Newport are just as accessible to the south. Charm by the Beach

Close to the beach with a vintage costal feel. The loft added a great touch- giving lots of extra living space. New washer and dryer. The Jack and Jill bathroom worked for us since we were all one family. The bathroom does need some work- especially the shower. The mudroom needs a sweep out and pest control. We spotted six black widows where host had coats and shoes storage located. I’m sure the rental company will respond and remedy that quickly

Beautiful house and location !

It was such a fun stay for me and my husband, it’s a quiet town and fun to walk around and relax in. The house was cute, lots of space and beautiful views. The shower was a bit smaller than I had anticipated but other than that it was a perfect spot for our vacation !

Perfect Location, cute house

Loved the location of the home!! Easy walk to the beach. The outdoor fire pit was great. House was clean and well stocked. Bathroom was a little funky to access only through the bedrooms, worked fine for our one family, but may be awkward with multiple families/friends.

Lovely home

This house was perfect for a friend and i to have a weekend getaway. It was clean, organized, had comfortable beds and all kitchen necessities. We spent most of the time out back by the fire pit which was perfect! There were also fun yard games, bicycles, and beach gear available, but we didn't use. I slept fabulously in the loft listening to the ocean... would absolutely return.

Great location

The property was located very close to the beach and walking distance to a couple of restaurants. We had a hiccup at check-in as the property turnover / cleaning wasn't done when we arrived around 5pm. Take note of the cleaning requirements. They want you do a bunch of extra tasks that aren't required of a hotel stay.

Great place

This is a small property that is very well laid out so it feels very comfortable and not crowded at all. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. We didn't find any coffee, sugar, salt, etc so be sure to bring your own.

Lovely little cottage

Great location and well appointed little cottage. Only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Loft bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed playing some of the outdoor games in the yard when it got too windy to be on the beach. The owners have really thought of everything you could need and made our stay easy and enjoyable. Only downside is 10 AM check out which we had to scramble to meet.

Perfect quiet get-a-way for our family, kiddos and pups.

We stayed two nights, three days in the cottage. It was beautiful and just the right size for us (one grandparent, two kids, two dogs, my wife and me). Walkable distance both to the beach and to the local coffee shop, marketplace, and restaurant(s). The weather was poor, but we made the best of it in this cozy little cottage. The board games were a nice find, and tv/movie service were welcome on the cold/windy/rainy days. The door entry code didn't seem to work, so I ended up just using the key, but otherwise, no complaints whatsoever and we'd definitely recommend the place, and stay here again!

Cozy cottage with GREAT location

This adorable, trendy cottage is quaint and had everything we needed. The location is amazing- just steps from the beach, the sand dunes, tide pools and the restaurants and store.

Cozy spot by the beach!

What a great little spot to celebrate our daughter's 15th birthday! The house was amazingly clean and well-appointed and there was an easy walk to the beach on a charming path. In addition, the house is only a couple of blocks from The Pelican Pub and other food and shopping. We will be back!

Nice getaway, beach charm

The location is very convenient to enjoy Pacific City. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach, Pelican, the Market, and amazing views. Cozy space and a well equipped kitchen. The bathroom is a bit awkward, as you have to walk through a bedroom to get to it. Also, the shower is very small, but does it’s job. We had a nice escape for New Years and would visit again.

Cute Cape Kiwanda Beach House

House was just a short walk to beach right by Haystack rock and Cape Kiwanda. It was super cute, clean, well stocked, and nicely decorated. In addition to the beach there were walking paths close by which were great for our dogs. Cabin also provided bikes, nice tv, and lots of games. There is only one bath and it’s small but was nice with plenty of towels. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

Weekend Getaway

My family (dog included) had a lovely time in Pacific City. This house is obviously newly renovated and loaded with charm. They’ve really thought of most everything to make the stay here perfect. My one tiny complaint is the only coffee maker is a keurig and I couldn’t find a place in town to buy k-cups. Good thing there is a coffee shop nearby. So plan ahead if you want in home coffee. Thanks for the refreshing weekend!
