Relaxing

Over all the stay was awesome. Very clean and for 4 adults plenty of room. Easy to get to Glacier Nation park. I would stay there again

Beautiful home near Glacier

My husband, son, and I really enjoyed our stay. It was such a great way for us to unplug and spend time together. Loved how close we were to Glacier and that we got to experience its beauty! The home was well equipped with everything we needed and was very comfortable. Will stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely place and very thoughtful host!

Very clean, great firepit, lots of toys for kids, very cute bath tub with surprisingly good water pressure, and overall a lovely stay. Highly recommend this place.

Everything you need in the middle of the mountains!

It was the absolute perfect place for our family to stay while adventuring in glacier. The deck and yard were so great!! Clean, and hosts were easy to message and were great!

Perfect Cabin for Glacier

The cabin was perfect for our family of 5. It was 20 minutes to Glacier which we visited every day. Felt remote, but only 15 minutes to Columbia Falls for restaurants and shopping. It was quiet and clean and the owners were super easy to communicate with and ask questions. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Rental. Cabin was exceptionally clean! Great location, nestled in the woods, easy to communicate with the owner/manager, everything you needed for a small family was available, close to town and Glacier NP, our 2 grandchildren loved the chipmunk and the cabin would be on top of our list next time in Glacier. Great Cabin Close to Glacier!

We stayed at Solitude Cabin July 27-Aug 3, 2024 for our family vacation to Glacier. Everything about this place was great! The cabin itself was beautiful, super clean and well kept! It has everything you need for you stay and more. Plenty of games to play with the kids. Strong wifi if you need it. A nice bluetooth sound system to play some music. They have all the appliances and utensils you need to cook your meals and the appliances are all nice higher end ones. The deck is awesome for relaxing after a long day of hiking in Glacier. The location was perfect for us. There are neighbors but you would never know it if you didn't drive by them on the way in. It is at the end of the road. You can't see another house from the cabin. All you can see is the forest and mountains. Amazing! The description says 20 minutes to Glacier and that is spot on and the drive to get there is beautiful. About 15 minutes to Columbia Falls. The owner is great at communicating and answering any questions you might have. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking to head to the mountains and get away from it all!

Enjoyed our stay

My husband and I stayed at this cabin for 7 nights. Everything was as pictured and described, we had what we needed, Richard was communicative and we had no issues. This home is convenient to accessing both the park and town. Visiting with the neighbor’s friendly horses in the backyard was a pleasant perk! This home is on a short street spread out amongst a small handful of other cabins and it was very quiet and peaceful and felt very remote. It was also very close to a boat ramp for easy access to fishing the nearby river. Having a washer and dryer to do laundry mid-week was a big plus. The Check-in and check-out process was super simple. I will call out a few things that would improve the guest experience. The pots and pans are not non-stick and the cooking utensils could be of better variety/quality. We cooked most of our meals so this was disappointing. There is also no lounging space in this cabin. Half of the living room is set up for small children to play. The only adult furniture is a single leather recliner and a hard folding futon. This may not matter for someone staying just a couple nights. But for a longer stay, having a big comfy sofa to relax on would have been much more inviting. This was really the only major complaint we had. Many of the rooms and closets in the home are locked, which felt a little off-putting given that you are paying to rent the full home. I hope this feedback is helpful for the host and for the next guest!

Great Startin point for Glacier National Park.

The property was just as described. We arrived after dark so it was a little tricky to find but we did drive right to it. It is perfect for 2 couples who are wanting to explore the park. The fact there was no air conditioner was not a problem as it was cool enough at night to sleep and keep the place cool. Close enough to groceries and restaurants. We highly recommend this place.

Cozy Woodland Retreat

Our family of four loved our stay at this lovely woodland retreat. Communication with the host was terrific . It was wonderful to view the tall pines and the moon while listening to the call of a screech owl in the evenings . So many different birds! A family of turkeys appeared to say good bye on our final morning. The cabin is very convenient to the west side of Glacier National Park and is a peaceful retreat. We woud love to return! The road to the cabin is bumpy so take your time .

Perfect place for our visit to Glacier!

Our family (two adults and two kids, ages 9 and 11) found this house to be perfect for us. It was clean, exactly as advertised, and very close to Glacier National Park. We had a great time, and our only regret was that we didn't stay longer.

Best West Glacier Property!

Our family couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more! It was the perfect location for our trip - a remote home base close to Glacier as well as area attractions. The home is well cared for with great wifi and even better mountain views from the deck! Thank you for your great hospitality!

Secluded and private.

The positives outweigh the one negative. The positives are private and secluded, large space, well kept, and the owners/mgr are very attentive. The one negative is flys get into the cabin. Not sure how because we did t leave the door open but they were a nuisance. I suspect this can be fixed. We enjoyed our stay.

Out on a dirt road deep in the woods yet convenient to Glacier and town. All the modern conveniences including great WiFi this is the perfect woodland retreat to enjoy when not in the park. We enjoyed it. A great place to call home for a few days.

Secluded cabin close to Glacier

This was a wonderful home base for my family to explore the west side of Glacier! Perfect set up for my family of 4. My two children ages 4 and 6 loved all the kids toys both inside and outside, their own kids room, and a big rug to play on in the main room. House was clean, well stocked, and owner was very kind and responsive. My parents stayed in their camper, but had meals with us and would hang out in the evenings with plenty of space for everyone. House is very private, surrounded by woods, so peaceful!

During the summer, my family and I move to a remote backcountry ranger station for my job, leaving this beautiful house empty for several months. We love to see others love the house and surrounding lands as much as we do. During our summer absence, the rental is managed by our long time friend and property manager.
