Great location!

My husband and I took a quick trip to mammoth cave and the location of this property could not be beat. We were a short drive to the cave and lots of hiking! The lodging met our needs, as it was just the two of us so we didn’t need much space. We arrived late at night though and it took a few minutes to locate the property because it is hidden behind another home, difficult to see from the street and our GPS repeatedly had us drive right past. We would definitely stay here again!

Little cottage has it all

My daughter, 21, and I stayed for a week during spring break in March to visit Mammoth Cave and to do a day trip to Nashville (90 min. drive). We booked this trip at the last minute when we found this reasonably priced cottage to rent. It was as adorable as the photos show. It was clean, convenient, quiet, and surprisingly well-thought out, with all the things you need in one little studio. Though there is not a stove/oven, there is a hotplate, and outdoors there is a grill and a fire pit. The fridge is a decent size, but note there is no freezer. We spent all day exploring and then spent our evenings around the fire and stargazing. It was in a convenient location -- just a 10 minute drive to Mammoth Cave Visitor Center and about 15 min. to the nearest "town" if you wanted to go out to eat or get something at the store.

Tiny home has it all

My daughter, 21, and I stayed at this adorable little home for an impromptu spring break trip to Mammoth Cave National Park and a day trip to Nashville (just a 90 min. drive away). We were impressed with how well-planned the space was and it contained all the things we needed, including a hot plate and a decent size fridge. (Note it does not have a freezer, so plan accordingly). It was clean, cute, air-conditioned and we enjoyed having a fire each night in the fire pit, stargazing, and petting the neighbor cats who wandered over from the farm nearby. I was happy to find some of the basics there, like paper towels, hand soap, salt-and-pepper. It was a quiet and just a 10 minute drive to Mammoth Cave Visitor Center. Though it's a small space, it was just perfect for the two of us.

A Lovely Stay

We stayed for 3 nights here to visit Mammoth Cave National Park and the surrounding area. For the price, you can not beat this rental's location and amenities. You are on the edge of the national park and 15 minutes away from the visitor's center (which we visited every day because of how close we were to it). The rental was just what we needed for the two of us. We especially appreciated the extra shampoo and conditioner, soap, paper towels, toilet paper, towels, and blankets. There were also plates, bowls, and utensils available for use, and the host left us a new bottle of dishwashing liquid and a new sponge for washing dishes, which again was very appreciated. We visited in early March, and the temperatures were in the 50s during the day and 30s at night. We felt comfortable with the window unit blowing heat. The refrigerator worked great and kept our food cold. The microwave was also a nice amenity. There is also a space heater available in the unit. The shower was nice and warm, and just enough space. The stars are very visible in this location, and if it were warmer, we would have definitely utilized the firepit and done some stargazing. Also, it is worth mentioning that the neighbor has some cats wandering around, so be careful when driving up and down from the rental. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely rent again if we returned to this area.

Birthday getaway

Nestled quietly off the road, it provides a nice quiet retreat that is close to mammoth cave and other attractions. Cell signal is not so much but that’s no worry. We went in early February, 40s-50s. A extra blanket is provided but we didn’t need it. Nice bathroom.

Perfect spot right outside the park

This was perfect for me and my dog’s trip to mammoth cave state park. The cottage is about a minute away from one of the entrances to the park, and was a cozy spot for us to relax in between adventures. The farm next door was a pretty view, and the bed was super comfortable. It was chilly when we were there and the heat seemed to work well.

Cozy cabin

We love this cottage. It's location was perfect for us near Mammoth cave. Beautifully decorated. They even had toothbrushes in case you forgot yours. I think that was a really nice touch. The bed is super comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking with them again.

Mammoth cave cabin

Cute little place, probably best for just (and our dog). Beware of grumpy neighbors though. The fire pit was clean, the bed was very comfortable. Easy to get to the park and caves and to Brownsville.

Please look at the air filter on the air conditioner. It has black mold and this did affect my husband. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Nice cottage near Mammoth Cave

Cottage was easy to fine, clean and tidy. Property is wide open and pretty. Bed was firm. Our main goal was to hike and kayak. The cottage was a good place to crash after busy days.

Cute place, better if warmer out

The place was cute and a good place to stay for a night or two. We chose to go in pretty cold temperatures and noticed the unit doesn't retain heat well. The heaters ran pretty constantly. There's a wall unit and an extra heater, but the extra heater really has no where safe to go without being too close to the bed or rug. Something for the owner to keep an eye on. The water heater is fairly small so you can really only get a quick 10 minute shower when it's really cold out, but otherwise was a nice shower stall and bathroom. You might want to leave the bathroom door open when you're done as there is no vent in there to prevent any mildew. There are two ceiling fans, but we were not sure how to use them as there was not an obvious light switch and the chains were very short. The curtain above the window unit heater was tied in a weird way to where we couldn't close it for privacy, so they might want to invest in a shorter one. Regardless we enjoyed the stay and I'm sure when its warmer out there wouldn't be an issue. Its a good quick getaway that was conveniently close to the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center. Nearby Brownville has some small groceries and food places. The unit was well stocked with a small kitchen set, fresh sponges, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, and clean towels.
