Great summer get away

Loved getting to stay at Byrd’s Nest again! This was our third stay and as always it was a great stay. We love having the boat dock and the house is cozy. Charlie is a great host and is always super helpful.

Wonderful, we loved the place.

We had a really good time. The kids played in the kayaks and the dogs swam in the lake. Lovely house and Great host. We will definitely be back soon.

Beautiful surroundings!

We had another great stay at the Byrd’s Nest. We had everything we needed. Joye and Charlie are great hosts and really make us feel at home. I highly recommend the Byrd’s Nest for a relaxing retreat.

Very secluded and perfect location for a quiet getaway!

You couldn’t ask for better host and hostess. The Byrds definitely have a heart for hospitality. We enjoyed fishing, the kayaks, and grilling on the porch. Cleo and Buddy were great company as well.

Great place to stay if you are visiting the area! Charlie and Joyce are very welcoming and helpful!

This would be a great getaway if you need something in the area. The cabin was just as advertised. The bed was comfy and the cabin had all of the things that you need. We loved fishing from the boat dock! Joyce and Charlie were friendly and very welcoming! We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again!!

Great Getaway. Will Be Back!

4 adults. This was the perfect getaway for us. Mr. Charlie was the perfect host. Fishing was fabulous. Morning coffee on the deck was beautiful. We watched deer swim, saw bald eagles, and listened to the early morning boats. It was perfect for us.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED!

This was our second stay here this month. We really like the place and Joye always makes us feel welcome and at home. We were visiting grandson at Subiaco and so the Byrd's nest location was really convenient. We enjoyed sightseeing in the area. Such a beautiful place. Highly recommended!

Fishing Paradise

The house and property was very nice and kept up nicely and the owner was a very good host and very pleasant to talk to if you're looking to do some fishing you are close to the water and sitting on the deck of the house in the evening was very peaceful and you could listen to all of the animals talking and it was very pet friendly very thankful for the opportunity to be able to stay there

Charlie seems to be a very nice person and his two yard dogs were very friendly. The cabin is remote but several cabins nearby. The cabin is well kept but definitely a place for leisure activities or fishing. Actually sleeps two regular beds and a fold out couch. Wery well stocked. We would definitly stay there again!

Great location and friendly host

If you want to come for fishing, then this is a great stay. The property is beautiful with a great host who stays out of your business, but is very helpful. Older house but it's fine for us because it's affordable. Very clean and plenty of amenities. Thanks Charlie!

Loved the Byrd’s Nest

The road leading to it is unpaved and the bathroom is small, but we will definitely be back. Charlie is super nice and lives close by if you need anything. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, kayaking, paddle boating, hiking around the property, and making s’mores every night in the fire pit. The house was great for 4 adults and a teenager and had everything we needed.

Lovely spot. Quaint and well stocked.

This is a great little spot. The house is a snapshot into the past, but has everything you could need. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed. I wasnt aware the owner lived so close by, or that he had 2 sweet dogs of his own that roam the property. They were very sweet, unfortunately my dog doesnt play well with others so we were unable to use the lake as much as I had hoped.

Great place and lovely hosts

The area was beautiful and the house so cute! Joye and her husband were very kind and great host. Lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the view and quiet (it rained most of our time there so we didn't get to take full advantage). But we still loved every minute. Their dogs Buddy and Cleo kept guard and made us feel safe and secure in our getaway home! We would definitely recommend if you are looking for a lovely place for a relaxing weekend. They had all the amenities of home . Thank you for a great weekend!

We are retired and enjoy living at the lake. We are Arkansas Razorbacks fans and attend most events. We enjoy spending time on the water and in the woods. We are dog lovers. We have "Brandy", a minature schnauser, and "Buddy", a golden retriver. We have always lived in Arkansas.

Why they chose this property

This was our favorite fishing and water sports lake. Also, near the forests and ATV trail riding.

What makes this property unique

We moved to the lake when we retired and built a new house nearby and used the cabin for a guest house. We decided to list the cabin as a rental for the enjoyment of others. The decks have beautiful views and are very relaxing or build a fire in the fireplace and enjoy a glass of wine. We can also take a leisurely walk in the woods. This is a quite secluded area within an 1-1/2 hour of Little Rock, Ft. Smith, Hot Springs, Eureka Springs and many points of interest
