About this property
- The Ground Floor Guest Suite, Mosgiel Dunedin NZ
Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in Mosgiel, Dunedin, nestled in a tranquil tree lined garden, which attracts an abundance of birdlife, this Ground floor Guest Suite is a peaceful retreat.
Only 19 minutes from Dunedin International Airport and 13 minutes’ drive to the City Centre.
Mosgiel is a satellite town in Dunedin, but certainly does not lack in great shopping, restaurants, takeaways and cafe's, all within a 2km distance from the Guest Suite, Supermarket is a mere 5-minute walk for fresh produce and groceries.
So much to do in Dunedin!! Just to mention a few:
Take a day trip to the Lanarch Castle, beautiful gardens, or tour the castle - high and Tea is now served daily in the Ballroom at 3pm.
* 9.3km from Mosgiel - The Tunnel Beach Walk is a stone walk through farmland and along the beach cliffs to Tunnel Beach, sea rock piles, arches and oddly shaped rocks that are masterpieces of the wild Pacific Ocean.
* 11.9km away - The Octagon Square is located at the junction of Prince Street and George Street. It is a livelier area in Dunedin. Since 1846, the Octagon Square has been the city centre of Dunedin. Around the Octagon, there are the Gothic St. Paul's Church, the City Council Hall, the Tourist Service Centre, green spaces and several main avenues leading in all directions. It is also the commercial centre of Dunedin, with numerous shops and restaurants.
* 12km - Dunedin Chinese Garden - The buildings in the garden are surrounded by mountains and rivers. The environment here is quiet and the scenery is pleasant. It is a good place for leisure and strolling.
* Only 11.7km away - Catlins Coastal heritage Trail - is now a walking track along the beach. Use the pier to the other end of the road, along the beautiful coastal scenery, stop to enjoy the sea view with seals, sea lions.
* The Dunedin Botanical Garden - which covers an area of about 28 hectares, with over 6000 plant species - a mere 13km away.
* Baldwin St. Dunedin is the steepest inhabited street in the world. worth a look at. 14.6km from Mosgiel

About the host
Hosted by Carolyn Voke

Steve and I recently moved to the “Deep South” from Pukekohe, Auckland, to be closer to our family (and Grandson).
With a respect for all living things, love the South Island, with an abundance of wildlife, exciting trails, beautiful landscapes, and magnificent fauna.
Our place is upstairs, which we share with our rescue fluffy Ginger cat – “Honey”. You will probably not get to see her during your stay as she is unsociable with other humans, if you do have the privilege, please be kind 😊
Steve works from home, so sing out if you need anything !!
It’s a continuous adventure !

Why they chose this property
We love the peace and quiet, the area is close enough to the City if we need extravagance, however there is much to do in Mosgiel. Everything is in walking distance !! The Cafe's, takeaways and shops are just great.
What makes this property unique
Space and privacy, makes this unit unique. The tree filled garden attracts an abundance of birdlife, so the bird song'smay be your alarm clock in the morning, when the sun rises.
