Great for fishing

Went up in a groups of 4. Everyone had a bed to sleep on, stocked with plenty of necessities, and was the perfect location for our ice fishing trip. Plenty of ice on the lake and we got into a couple of lake trout. Great place to stay.

Nice little Maine lakefront property

We had a lot of fun here. The boats really made my kids day. We zipped all over the lake!

Weekend getaway in the lake

We had a nice stay. Great location with direct access to the lake. We enjoyed using the canoe and other water toys. The grill was a bit of a grease fire hazard and needs to be cleaned so we were unable to use it but other than that we had a great time

Immersed in nature

We arrived when electric crews were restoring service to everyone, and when the generators stopped, the sounds of loons and ducks took over. The property is adorable, you are literally 2 steps from the water. We couldn't stop watching the ducks, different birds, a heron parade down the cove. It was also the perfect location to watch the solar eclipse, privately, quietly. The beds were so comfortable, the wood stove took the chill out of the main room, the quiet was just right. It was also just wonderful to go as Spring was starting to emerge. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely setting

We attempted to get an early check in very early in the reservation process but never received acknowledgement of this request until about 2 hours before we arrived at the cabin. While the cabin location on a lake was very nice, the condition of the cabin when we arrived was not good. The countertops were dirty, appliances were somewhat greasy, the garbage can in the garage had not been emptied, and the furnace and water heater were rather loud. The extras such as the watercraft, the fantastic setting on the lake and the solitude at this time of the year were very nice.

Family gathering

The rental property was used as a home base for family from Houston, TX, Virginia Beach, VA, and Raymond, ME. We gathered in order to fulfill my father’s final wishes (he passed on January 9, 2024) and spread his ashes in his favorite place on earth, Boothbay Harbor, ME. The property itself was in the most beautiful, peaceful setting I could imagine. It was a perfect place for our families to meet. The house itself had some issues, however I feel that this is because it appeared that we were the first visitors in a long period of time. Overall, I am hopeful that my contact with the property manager during our stay will help to rectify those issues and this home in one of the most peaceful locations I have ever visited will be a place others can enjoy for a long time to come.
