La "Gingerbread House" è uno chalet A-Frame da favola unico nel suo genere o "Tiny House" con un soppalco. Assolutamente adorabile, carico di fascino e carattere, tuttavia questo potrebbe non essere adatto ad alcuni ospiti. Al soppalco si accede tramite una scala con un limite di peso di 250 libbre. Non c'è bagno o acqua nel soppalco, tuttavia questa è probabilmente la stanza più bella della proprietà. Installato sugli alberi offrendo la sensazione di essere in una casa sull'albero. Un posto fantastico per rilassarsi, magari leggere un libro, fare un pisolino sul letto matrimoniale (lenzuola pulite fornite) o anche solo meditare. Il livello principale offre un piccolo angolo cottura ben attrezzato con un piccolo frigorifero, forno a microonde (per favore non portare i tuoi piani cottura, piastre elettriche o piastre) un grande lavello della cucina e un tavolo di casa colonica con 2 posti a sedere. C'è un barbecue nel patio per il vostro uso.
La zona soggiorno / salotto ha un divano futon che rende perfetto un letto full size per coloro che preferiscono non dormire nel soppalco o forse una terza persona. C'è una piccola Smart TV Samsung da 28 "con il pacchetto centrale di Direct TV. Questo cottage offre anche la connessione wireless.
Adiacente alla cucina è un bagno completo con il "fascino di ieri" tra cui una vasca piedi artiglio con la doccia in testa e lavandino separato. Si prega di notare che lo scaldabagno è solo 20 galloni. Asciugamani puliti e freschi che sono stati lavati con sapone ecologico sono forniti per l'uso.
La passerella in pietra che conduce all'esterno conduce ad un piccolo patio coperto perfetto per rilassarsi dopo una giornata di avventure e barbecue.

Perfect cottage for 2

My partner and i stayed for 3 days and it was perfect! Sharon was very helpful and attentive, she even started a fire in the wood burning fireplace for us one of the days we were there. The property was beautiful and a great place to stay while we were visiting Yosemite National Park.

Lovely Tiny House Retreat and Responsive Host

Sharon was a wonderful host, and the Tiny House was lovely, cozy, and private, despite sharing property with host and another rental cottage. Instructions were very clear and informative, and Sharon was responsive and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again!

Cute Cottage in Oakhurst

We loved our stay at this cottage! Everything was clean and well kept. The sleeping loft was a fun addition and made us feel like kids again. We highly recommend!

A great place to stay!

This was the perfect place for my wife and I! Close to Yosemite and the town of Oakhurst offers many restaurants and shops. nearby Mariposa and Bass lake were also fun places to see and spend sometime seeing. The Brantley's were great hosts and provided us with everything we needed. I would say it's a must stay for any couple!

Relaxed

We enjoyed our first Tiny House experience. The surroundings were very relaxing after long days of driving and sight seeing. If back in the area, we would look into staying here again.

Loved the gingerbread house

We loved our stay at the gingerbread house. The house was exactly as depicted in the pictures, clean, spacious for two and comfortable. The kitchenette had everything you need. Close to town , Yosemite and Bass Lake. I would highly recommend this home for couples visiting Yosemite and Bass Lake.

Tiny House

House was just like the pictures. There was good communication. The host was available and responsive. The house was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. This was a great location for us as we were headed to Yosemite for hiking and we enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful cabin experience!

My wife and I had stayed two nights to go to Yosemite and this was a good find! It was on the way out of Oakhurst towards Yosemite so the positioning was perfect! When you are back at the cabin and looking for food and drink it was close enough to everything (about 1.5 mi from great food). The road leading up to the cabin was a little rough, but it is by no means a long stretch so most vehicles should be fine!

Fell in love with Oakhurst & Yosemite

The “tiny cabin” was the perfect place for our visit to Yosemite! The cabin itself had everything we could have needed and was so charming! The location was convenient as well. Downtown Oakhurst has grocery stores, cute shops, breweries, and wineries. Not to mention we were ~ 25 minutes fr South Gate of Yosemite and about 10 minutes from Bass Lake. Both were amazing! We are thrilled with our 2 night stay and wish we had longer.

Romantic Yosemite getaway weekend

We had an amazing stay at the gingerbread house. It was the perfect, quiet, romantic place for us to unwind after adventure packed days in Yosemite! There is a ladder up to the loft which was fine for us (and a cute addition!) but I can see how this may be troublesome for others.

Unique cozy cabin, very comfortable and adorable,

We would stay there again. The host was very accommodating and made sure the cabin was cool when we arrived. Especially since the temperature outside was very hot . The location was a short drive to Bass Lake. We used the bbq for delicious steak dinners. We totally enjoyed our 30th anniversary there. It was nice to be in such a cute & unique cabin!! Thank you

A Cozy Retreat!

Sharon and Mike have an awesome property just on the edge of town that gives the feeling of being in the wilderness, but the convenience of being close to shops and restaurants. It is just as cozy as the pictures show. It is also very secure and I felt incredibly safe as a solo traveler. Sharon left great instructions on check in and check out procedures as well as many suggestions on what to do in the area. I ended up visiting Bass Lake, Yosemite, and Sequoia and King's Canyon during my stay. The latter two are a bit of a haul from Oakhurst, but so worth it. If you are looking for a comfy place to stay while exploring the wilderness, this is the place for you!

Great Get Away

We really enjoyed our stay here. Super cute place. Well taken care of and had everything we would need. Loved the benefits of being close to Oakhurst but feeling like we were in the woods. Great launching point for our quick trip to Yosemite.

Better than expected!

The Tiny cottage was "PERFECT!" It was beautiful and the hostess thought of "EVERYTHING!" to make it feel like home! My Wife and I spent our 30th anniversary there! We Loved it. The Hostess even helped me surprise my Wife with flowers in the cottage when we arrived. I would not only recommend this to everyone, but I would stay there if possible the next time we head out that way. Perfect experience! Would highly recommend if visiting Yosemite National park. It is close to the south entrance to the Park and close to Bass lake.

Great find!

This cute A-frame was a great find. It was actually more spacious then the pictures made it seem, and the small hot water tank still allowed for my partner and I to each take 10 min showers. The only downside is not having an oven or stovetop, but we made do with the microwave and outdoor grill. As a note for anyone looking to explore Yosemite, this cottage is a 30 minute winding drive from the park, however once you get into the park you have to drive another hour to get to the valley floor.

I'm a REALTOR with Bass Lake Realty. I've been licensed since 1998. I love Real Estate!
Back in 2004 my partner Mike discovered this “gem” of a property and purchased it before it entered the real estate market and from there, we’ve had quite a journey. First it was an awesome place for Mike to tinker and put his passion for carpentry and pride of ownership to work while we rented to full time tenants. Then in 2010 we found ourselves living here unexpectedly from a remote mountain property. This property offered a lovely country setting yet being very close to Oakhurst’s township, Bass Lake and of course Yosemite. We were only using the Gingerbread Tiny House occasionally for friends and family when my dear friend Kirsty Lebovitz who owns SierraScape Vacation Rentals suggested that I turn the cottage into a vacation rental for two. So, I did! That is how Yosemite’s Suite Retreat’s Gingerbread Tiny House came to be! Thank you, Kirsty!

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

This is a fantastic location and convenient to 3 major attractions, lots of restaurants, less than 2 minutes from Oakhurst's town amenities yet we are nestled on 3 beautiful acres. Please note we are NOT a remote mountain property.
The gates to Yosemite are approximately 20 to 30 minutes away and the Valley Floor is an additional 30-40 minutes from the gates.
The Beautiful Bass Lake is within 10 minutes or so. There are often events & activities happening. Hiking, boating and boat rentals, picnicking, swimming and the real estate is awesome.

We are an alternative to a hotel/motel, renting a full size home and of course camping! On our shared 3 acres we have 3 separate living quarters all unique and loaded with character. They are all separate from each other and each have their own yards and driveways.
