In Downtown Friday Harbor!

The Artist's Suite is a lovely, ground floor, studio suite. This unit is equipped with a queen bed, 3/4 bath with a walk-in shower, kitchenette and a sitting area. In the bedroom area you'll find a Smart TV for streaming services. This suite is furnished with everything you need, including a romantic propane fireplace. Sleeps 3 but is better suited for 2 people.

The Carter House is one of Friday Harbor's first important historic homes. Built in 1911, it was a wedding gift for a wealthy merchant's daughter. It has been beautifully restored. Located in historic downtown Friday Harbor, it is only 3 blocks from the ferry dock and Port of Friday Harbor.

The blocks surrounding the Artist's Suite offer many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 5 minute walk from the Artist's Suite!
A brand new mattress for the queen bed has been updated in this unit in January of 2021.

This Unit has great cell phone reception and Wi-fi. However, San Juan Island is a remote location, and it is good to keep in mind that intermittent, short, Wi-Fi disruptions are very normal for this area.
This Suite does not have Air Conditioning.

visiting an old friend

Came to San Juan after not being to the islands in at least 15 years. Purpose was to visit a fried that had moved to the island about 5 years ago. A treat to come to the island of San Juan and visit our friend. Artist Suite VRBO is an excellent location for walking downtown but being away from some of the noise and activity when you want.

Great location, good size, but the heater wouldn't turn off so we couldn't sleep well. Fans and open windows couldn't keeo up vs the heater. The pillows were also very stiff and uncomfortable.

The Best!

A cute, quiet retreat located in town but far enough away from all the hustle and bustle. Easy communication with management, easy accessibility, and lots of amenities to make your stay comfy! Highly recommend!

This place is great! It’s just far enough off the main area of town to be quiet, while still being a 2-10 minute walk to most places in Friday Harbor. Everything was clean and nice. The mattress was very comfortable.

Quiet, Quaint, Walkable

We had a good time at this VRBO. The walkability was amazing. Close to a brewery, close to coffee stands, close to the ferry, close to town. We thought the bed was a little lackluster, but every body is different. We usually like beds that are softer, and in our opinion, while the bed had some give, it was more on the firm side which was a little uncomfortable (for us). A little memory foam pad would have helped during our stay. The check-in process was cake, the parking situation was spacious and easy. A fantastic stay overall!!

Great location

The house is in a great location and we had a great stay. The weather was perfect while we were there which is a good thing as the place could use a couple comfortable of reading chairs which would be perfect and enjoyable in the sunroom. The TV screen is so small that's it's almost not worth watching. If these two issues where addressed it would be wonderful.

Great location for a couple

Location is within easy walking distance of downtown. Parking on property was a nice perk. This is a downstairs unit, with a long-term renter upstairs. We lucked out in that the upstairs renter was quiet. Had they not been, it would have greatly affected our stay, as we could hear footsteps and movement easily. Would have loved a larger tv. Only real drawback to the property is the lack of a stove/oven.

Location, LOCATION!

Great location and cute property in a well remodeled historic building. To make it 5+, adding Wi-Fi and a handheld attachment in the little shower would do the trick.
