The Tiny House is nestled among the trees, overlooking the North side of the Hunter Mountain. Only 5 min driving distance from the Town.
Perfect spot for your SKI trip or just enjoy and recharge during any weather conditions with all the amenities that the house has to offer.
It’s really unique opportunity to get a feel for off grid life while being close to civilization.
You will truly enjoy the minimalism and it’ll give you a different perspective of the way of living.
As a host I’m also a builder of this place and I wanted to create something unique while not compromising the luxury when being Off Grid.
The house is well designed considering being “tiny” feels spacious and it holds 4 people (best for families or romantic getaways)
The lofts are comfortably accessible with built-in waterfall stairs/cabinets with plenty of storage for your belongings.
There’s a primary enclosed (king size) Loft with the TV/ PS4 for gaming and streaming so you can still enjoy the rest of the house in case you bring your kids or whatever situation may be!
The other Loft is open with a slot wall and full size mattress.
The lower level offers full size bathroom, kitchen, breakfast/dinner area and living room with a foldable couch.
Kitchen is fully equipped and offers sink + dishwasher in 1, LG washer, Microwave with air fry, oven, broil option, propane cooktop, Nespresso machine, toaster, kettle and hood.
Enjoy the view of the sauna and hot tub from the couch while watching the movie and fire burning in the mini stove => can’t really beat that atmosphere!
The house has 4 heating systems
1.PROPANE FURNACE (primary heat during the winter) the THERMOSTAT is located in the tall utility cabinet in the kitchen.
2.Wood burning stove
3.Hyper heat minisplit
4.Electric floor heat
BLINDS are operating with the remote located on the wall near the light switches next to the entrance door.
IMPORTANT
1. HOT TUB
DO NOT START THE FIRE WITHOUT HAVING THE WATER IN THE BOILER/HEATER
1. Unplug (twist) the two white plugs inside of the hot tub (that’s how the heater gets filled with the water)
2. Start the fire. Don’t be afraid to load it with wood with front vents open => it’ll heat it faster.
Leave the hot tub covered while heating.
It takes about 3 hours to heat it.
Stir the water once in while when heating with the paddle.
The water will stay hot even next day.
Once you’re done with the hot tub (before you leave) put two white plugs back from inside and once sealed drain the heater/boiler by removing (twisting) the black plug located on the back of the heater.
This is necessary to prevent damage when freezing temperatures!
SAUNA
Sauna is fairly easy. Just make a fire with the vent closed or little open (located on the top next to the door) The vent is opening and closing by turning and once the sauna is heated (open it more) that’s how you also regulate the temperature.
Once the rocks are hot and sauna heated you
can pour water over to make a steam.
There’s also a little pot above the stove that you fill with water and add few drops of essential oil located in the bathroom medicine cabinet. ENJOY!!
KITCHEN HOOD
When using the kitchen hood while cooking, open the kitchen window a little for some air flow (the hood is powerful and you need to bring some air back inside, since the house is well insulated)
WOOD STOVE
When making the fire in the mini stove, use fire starter located across the stove in the drawer. For a nice fire, first make layers of small pieces of wood crossing each other, then add thicker wood, fire it up with door little open, wait minute or two, and add more thicker wood.
The key is to create a nice base for thicker wood to burn and have enough airflow.
When cleaning the stove put the ashes into a
metal bucket located outside underneath the stairs.
THE BACK UP (quiet) GENERATOR
Even though you’re in Off grid situation and rely on batteries and sun you will not lose power.
The whole system works automatically and the generator starts itself if the batteries are too low.
You basically wont even notice it.
