Cozy Cottage on Peaceful Lake
My husband and I like to swim and kayak, so this location was perfect, and we loved exploring the area during our week at Goose Landing. The cottage was designed so well that even though it's small there was plenty of room for the two of us. The kitchen was wonderful, with lots of counter space, a big modern SS gas stove, and all the cookware and utensils we needed. The furnishings were lovely and comfortable. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful, and communication was excellent. It was obvious from the minute we got there that Ellen & Adam work hard to take care of their guests and make sure things go smoothly. There was a binder explaining everything in the home and providing lots of useful information, and they anticipated any question we could have had with handy labels throughout the house. When we arrived we were greeted by a bottle of wine and lots of treats for the next day's breakfast. This is a beautiful home and the owners are truly superhosts :)

Private little cottage perfect for a romantic getaway. Enjoyed the hot tub, the well-appointed kitchen, the spacious bathroom, and the comfy bed. Great restaurants/bars nearby and enjoyed a beautiful sunset from the grounds of Bard College. Ellen was responsive and helpful when I had questions prior to arriving. Loved our stay at Goose Landing!

Stay at Goose Landing
Our stay of two nights here couldn’t have been more perfect, excellent getaway for anyone in the city or metro area. Check in was as simple as it gets, and the property was cozy yet spacious. Lakefront access and hot tub were a plus!

Beautiful Property
Overall it was a nice experience. Great property, nice accommodations. Had a wonderful time until the day after I left. I was accused of stealing robes and blankets, when in fact they were still in the house. They had been left in a heap on the floor of the bathroom and I, not wanting to ruin our stay from the start by complaining, decided to shove them all in a cabinet and not give it a second thought. The day after I left I called the owner back as she had reached out through email and was greeted with “oh you took the robes?” The conversation sort of spiraled from there. We disconnected, I texted her letting her know when she finds them I’d appreciate an apology and that she would be getting a bad review. I clearly took it easy, because as I said the place was great, it is probably an even better experience in the spring and summer. Just make sure you catalog every single item you move while you are there, lest you be accused of theft.

Cozy retreat
Goose Landing is such a special place! It was the perfect home base for us during a visit to Bard College. The house is exactly as described, and even more lovely. The window seat was the perfect place to read a book during an afternoon storm. Highly recommend!
