Come back from a day out exploring Grand County and relax next to the portable firepit, don’t forget smores! We’re sure you'll be spending much of your time outside enjoying the Colorado mountain air! A nearby communal playground is located next to a local pond, where you can enjoy kayaking, fishing or paddle boarding. The Fraser to Granby trail passes by the property at the end of the street, which is a great trail for biking or cross-country skiing or snow shoeing during the winter. Snow Mountain Ranch is close by and offers many activities. Make a tee time and/or have lunch at Pole Creek Golf Club, located minutes away. The 27-hole public course is filled with wildflowers and challenging shots across 2 ponds and 5 lakes, you might even see a moose! Drive through Rocky Mountain National Park, check out the shops, restaurants and breweries in Winter Park & Fraser, rent a boat or have a beach day on Lake Granby. Don’t forget to book your reservation at the Tabernash Tavern that is walking distance from the house. You can also have a charcuterie board delivered to the house from South and West Provisions. So many things to enjoy during your mountain getaway!
There are three private bedrooms, two with king beds and the third has a queen bed & a crib. There is also a finished basement with queen over queen bunk beds, a large L shaped couch, full bathroom, shuffle board table, air hockey table and TV. Everyone will be comfortable and happy to have their own space to retreat to at the end of an active day. One of the king rooms also has a TV (DVD's in drawers). There is a very comfortable blow up sleeper mattress for additional sleeping space.
Because nothing about traveling with kids is easy...we want to help with that-the home is equipped with kids plates and utensils, high chair, Keekaroo changing pad, potty training toilet, extra crib mattress that can put anywhere in the home, single BOB stroller, bouncer, bath toys, books, infant & toddler toys and a tummy time mat.
This home has a strict maximum occupancy of 10 and cannot be used for any type of special events where more than 10 would be present at any time. There is a one car garage and space for two cars to park back to back in front of the garage door.
**This home is located in the Town of Tabernash** Approximately 3 minute drive from Fraser and 6 minutes to Winter Park, 10 minutes to the gondola
Winter Arrival:
Please be prepared before beginning your drive to Tabernash! Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain and traction laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We cannot accommodate weather-related refunds, please plan accordingly.
The development that this home is located is currently building a few properties and construction can be seen from home.
