About this property

Eva's Lookout | Winterton Cottages

Eva's Lookout is a modern ‘upside down' house with a spacious open plan living area upstairs, making the most of the fabulous view over Winterton Valley and out towards the sea. The fantastic location is right next to steps with direct access to the valley and beach, plus the house is walking distance from the village pub, shops and Poppy's tea rooms.

Through the front door you step into a hallway with wooden stairs leading to the living area upstairs. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs. The master suite has a superking bed, and direct access to the garden with sea views. It also has a dressing area, and ensuite bathroom with separate bath and shower. Bedroom two has a king size bed, direct access to the garden with sea views and an ensuite with a shower over the bath. The third bedroom has adult size bunk beds (3' wide), and has sea views from the window, whilst bedroom four is at the front of the house with two 3' single beds. There is also a family bathroom downstairs with a shower, wash basin and WC.

The house is in such a fantastic position, and the ‘upside down' design makes the most of the sea views with an open plan living area occupying the whole of the second floor. The vast wall-to-wall glass doors span the length of the house, and open out to a large balcony. The designer kitchen incorporates modern appliances including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave, and there is a comfortable lounge area with TV/DVD. There is a washing machine in the downstairs utility room. For dining options there's a choice of inside at the large table which seats eight, or a table and seating outside on the balcony. A gas barbecue is provided for guests.

There is plentiful off road parking in front of the house, and the back garden is fully enclosed. Up to two dogs are welcome. Please note for security reasons, CCTV covers the driveway to the property.

Beautiful home

This house has breathtaking views from the top floor! The house was nicely decorated and comfortable during our stay. It was close to everything we wanted to do as well. Would recommend this to someone else and would stay here again.

Wow.....Amazing house, with stunning views

The house is stunning, with amazing views from nearly every window. We stayed for a long weekend, with 8 of us the house had more than enough room. Plenty of bathrooms which were all really clean and modern. The beds were all a great size with good quality bedding and pillows. The open plan living area is huge with amazing sea views, good large balcony, plenty of seating and large dining table for 8. Access to the beach through the back gate, the steps going down are steep but do have handrails either side, we walked to Hemsby through the Valley which is a lovely walk. Staying in February I was worried that a large house would feel cold, but we was warm all weekend, really good heating. Overall the house is stunning, and look forward to staying again.

Great house and a great location

Really enjoyed our stay at Eva's Lookout, the house itself is fantastic, very well equipped, plenty of off road parking, and the sea views are just amazing. The location is great with direct access to the dunes and beach so perfect for walking the dogs, and It's only a short walk to the village where there is a pub, local shop, and very nice fish and chips. We really couldn't find fault, and enjoyed our stay so much we've already booked to stay again later in the year.

Such a restful place

This is a wonderful holiday home and an absolutely beautiful space to spend time in. You can spend all day just watching the light over the sea or you can be more active walking the dunes for hours, or going to the lovely beach cafe. It is really well equipped - we wanted for nothing. I would highly recommend. Honestly, if it ever comes up for sale, I would buy it!

Excellent break - I look forward to returning again soon!

A fantastic stay, in a fantastic property. - Communication from the owner was extremely quick and she was incredibly accommodating. - The property was stunning - in great condition and very clean. - The views from the balcony were beautiful, from sunrise to sunset. When you have the door open you can also hear the waves in the distance. - I was travelling alone with my dog, and felt very safe & secure there. - The access to the dunes & beach was even better than expected. While the steps down are steep, they have metal on them to help avoid slipping and handrails either side. - The beach was almost otherworldly. I visited in early January when there was frost and snow, and seal cub season also. I don't think I've ever experienced a beach like it. In the mornings at sunrise there was almost no one there, so you felt like you had it to yourself - other than the seals, who you'd find along the beach and the dunes! Overall, it was one of the best stays I've had on a UK break, and I really can't wait to return in the future.

Lovely house and location

Lovely house and location. Amazing view. House is well equipped. We really enjoyed our 4 days here and the area was very quiet and peaceful during our stay, just the sound of the waves crashing on the shore - bliss.

Beautiful views BUT…

Beautiful views, but the cleanliness was poor, floors hadn’t been cleaned and were dirty, cupboards / fridge had finger prints all over , dishwasher absolutely stunk of fish … we had to put it on twice with nothing in just to get rid of the smell. Lovely sliding doors to lovely views, but actual balcony was full of cobwebs. Downstairs pictures were quite deceiving as bunk bed room was very small and no black out blinds anywhere . Bathrooms were nice and modern and quite clean. Sadly the walls on the stairs had food stains and what looked like sauce of some kind. Overall we enjoyed our stay but found the property overpriced. Especially for that time of year.

New Year 2024

My family had a great new year in Eva’s Lookout. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The view was amazing with plenty of walks in the area. The local pub was good too! We will definitely be back.

Outstanding

One of the best value properties I have ever stayed in. The dune and beach access is second to none. We stayed over Christmas and they even provided a tree and many thoughtful touches. Will be staying again. Thank you!
