Nice stay close to town
Overall we were happy in the house. Two big bedrooms on the second floor with lots of space, only complaint was the mattresses are extra firm, too hard in my opinion. The first floor has the third bedroom (the smallest) which was fine for our two children (ages 3 and 7) however due to the location off the living room/kitchen, also hard to get them to sleep and be quiet in the house. The house is nicely updated, the kitchen is lovely, bathrooms nice and clean. Comfortable furniture, everything was nice, clean and presented well on arrival. We didn't like the Keurig in the kitchen which we knew about from a previous review, brought a reusable keurig thing with coffee grinds but would prefer a pot as well for four adults, there was also no kettle or small pot, my mom is a big tea drinker and we scoured the kitchen but didn't find one. The house was only .5 mile to town but it is up a very steep hill. This was fine for walking for my young family but my parents couldn't do it unfortunately, we also had all brought our bikes but our kids couldn't do the hill up, we had planned on biking to the beach each day but instead would drive everyone down, then one person bring the car back and bike back. This worked out ok, just an FYI. About an 8 min walk to the bottom of the hill/town and 20 min walk to the beach. Our only complaint of the house was the basement, the washer and dryer are big and new in the basement, but getting in there was very scary. Its a 5 foot ceiling so you have to crouch down and walk to the washer and dryer, stay crouched down so your head doesn't touch the spider webs, there was also a lot of flies all over the washer/dryer, not sure why, we ended up not doing any laundry except the rainy day where we had to dry towels.
