Bison View Cabin has 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed, 1 full bed) and a twin XL day bed in the living room. An additional extra-thick floor mattress and pillows are available upon request. There is one full bathroom and an extra lavatory in the laundry room, which also has a washer, dryer, and a utility sink. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basic necessities (please see the amenities section for details). The cabin is heated by electric heat or new, high-efficiency wood-burning stove that has an eco-friendly re-burning system to minimize air pollution. Firewood is provided. The garage is NOT included with this rental, but the driveway has ample parking for up to three vehicles. The cabin does not have a TV, air conditioning, or a dishwasher. Cabin stays naturally cool in summer months as it has a white roof. The three porches have gorgeous views of the Mission Mountains, the CSKT Bison Range, and Mission Creek and are perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine! Guests are also welcome to use the firepit in the gravel next to the porch—we recommend making s'mores while you watch the sunset & alpine glow on the mountains! You will notice that the cabin is filled with unique, custom woodwork, which has been carefully handcrafted by the owner over the past several years with specialty lumber from across western Montana! For this reason, we do NOT allow any unauthorized pets in the cabin. Please carefully read the House Rules. (unauthorized pet fee of $500) We frequently see deer and a wide variety of birds in the yards and fields adjacent to the cabin. Grizzly and black bears are sometimes seen following the creek in the field during the summer months. Elk bugling on the CSKT Bison Range a few miles away are sometimes heard from the property during the rut in the fall. There may be horses or cows in the fields adjacent to the cabin during the warmer months. The nearest grocery store, post office, gas station, etc. are in the town of St. Ignatius, about 6 minutes from the cabin. This is a rural area, but there are so many things to do! Please visit the Neighborhood Highlights section and Host Guidebook to learn more about the Mission Valley and surrounding areas. Glacier National Park is a beautiful 2-hour drive around Flathead Lake. Guests often may a day trip from BVC. Make sure to do your homework, many areas of GNP now require reservations PLUS a ticket for entrance.

Beautiful location

Great location with beautiful views. It was quiet and peaceful with lots of farmland and wildlife around. The cabin was very clean and the owners were very nice and helpful. This was our first experience staying on someone else’s rental property and it did not disappoint.

This was the most beautiful place in Montana; our front yard was the Mission Mountains!

If you want to live in God's Country, this is the cabin to rent. It is the most beautiful cabin I have ever stayed and the surrounding Mission Mountain Range is breath taking! Thank you Susan and Rusty in being such gracious hosts. So, all of the United States that have not been to this neck of the woods in Montana, you must come! I love Montana and this place of God. Pam.

Owners Suzie & Rusty Hunt are longtime residents of the Mission valley. They went to high school together & stayed in St. Ignatius to work & raise their family.

Why they chose this property

Peaceful road with beautiful country setting.
We have experienced stunning northern lights & star gazing both from our property.
Mission Mountain views are incredible! Great neighborhood. We love seeing all the different wildlife!

What makes this property unique

We love the rustic feel of this cabin & the beautiful views it's a wonderful spot to enjoy if you love nature & rural areas. This cabin was remodeled by Rusty, Suzie & their kids. Many hours went into sanding, scrubbing, painting, nailing, tearing out flooring etc....
Most of the woodwork & furniture in this cabin was built by Rusty.
