Check-in lady was lovely. Our room had had hot sun beating down all day without the blinds pulled. Everything was really stuffy and there was no fridge to put our few things in. A couple of plastic glasses. Would have been nice to have a couple of nice glasses and a fridge. Fortunately the lady gave us an icebucket. It is nice to come back to the room and lovely balcony and have a quiet drink but we couldn't do this until we were fortunate to have the lady bring an icebucket for us
We were very disappointed with our stay. Have sent an e-mail to hotel a week ago and have not heard from them.
The phone didn't work (they were getting somebody to look at it - that never happened). The cleanliness of the room left a bit to be desired - the TV was snowy on a few channels, again somebody was to come and look at that and it never happened.
Sheryl at reception was extremely helpful. We were able to check in a little early and she offered suggestions as to local activities. We asked about in room security and she informed us that this amenity had been removed due to past difficulties opening the room safes and went on to gush over how safe Maui is- doors and cars left unlocked, lost belongings returned etc. etc. There was no security offered at reception. Previous travel forums had warned of theft from rooms, we should have listened. At the airport following checkout it became apparent that a sizeable amount of money had been removed from our passport wallets that had been hidden under clothing in the dresser drawer in the room!
Just as ironic was that whiist the dresser must have been accessed during our stay the bottom drawer of the dresser still contained belongings of an earlier guest when we arrived. I cannot recommend this hotel following our experience.

Fabulous area, close to beach, shopping,
Fantastic location, close to beach, shopping, restaurants and night-life. Our favourite place to be on the island. Comfortable and exactly what we wanted. If you are looking for 5 star probably not the place for you. Laid back and easy. Bathroom a little old. Small but all we needed. Loved it!

Upon arriving we met Sheryl, she was lovely, very helpful and had a bubbly personality. The hotel was in a great spot close to all the restaurants and shops.
Our room was disappointing and very dated. A/c falling out, electrical sockets loose in the wall and no fridge or other self service in the rooms.
The worst part was the content noise from the kitchen from the Lahaina Grill below our room. From 4am till 11pm at night we could hear talking, music, banging of fridge doors and general kitchen sounds. If you want to have a early night sleep or sleep in I don't recommend staying here....

We stayed overnight at the Lahaina Inn and I found the ambiance very relaxing. An old whalers hotel, I'm told, in the centre of Lahaina's shops and restaurant part of town. Was a bit disappointed that the rocking chairs on the balcony were loose and one was broken, but the hotel reception came up and replaced the chair with another from next door.
Wonderful staff, and two brilliant eateries right next door: The Lahaina Grill which was 5 star outstanding. Lots of celebrations happening. Ex'y price wise, but well worth the spend. On the other side of the Inn, you'll find Dave Douglas' Cafe-Cafe, a brilliant little cafe for breakfast and lunch. Great coffee's and Dave is totally committed to produce a wonderful experience.

Everything was perfect. We self checked out (dropped our keys and pool cards in the box and left). Later we find that THEY have lost our key and cards (somehow) and then charged us $150 for it. For other reasons this ended up blocking our card and causing all kinds of trouble for our holiday.
Other than that everything was perfect.

Arrived at the motel to a very unpleasant man who was very abrupt and not helpful at all basically just asked for photo id then slid the key over, We went to our room. No safe, no coffee maker, no water, no fridge and the size of the room is so tiny you are unable to pass each other or move around the room ( walk in closet size)You get two hangers hanging half way down a wall on a clip for a wardrobe, I would not stay again. The plus was location

So I booked this hotel late. Around July 4th there are not so many choices.
Was attracted to the great location of this hotel. I read all the reviews and not liking very small rooms I booked the best room.
The upsides are the great location and the rooms are heritage and quite ok. The staff are very helpful too.
The downsides are no WiFI in the rooms/ I believe this is being managed - but it didn't help me from Australia and no room service one day at all... $310 pn/ 4 nights. Um no!

Great location!
Room was comfortable and acceptable for the price, however it was quiet noisy as you could hear street noise and neighbouring rooms. The room was clean and the hotel itself is a beautiful building. Lots of character and a great location. I would stay here again if I wanted to be in Lahaina.

Lovely Inn, close to the harbour
We had a wonderful stay in Lahaina. The little harbour town has a great feel about it and is charming, safe and laid back.

Lahaina Inn is a basic hotel in a great location. The rooms are quite small, and have nowhere to hang anything apart from one coat hook on the wall. There is, however, a dresser with three large drawers which easily took all our things. The little balcony overlooked the car park across the street, but the rocking chairs were very comfortable & a good place to sit, have a drink and plan your activities.
We took the car parking option, so it was easy to go anywhere and not have to worry about where to park the car because the Rangers were very diligent at checking the three hour free limit, & you still had to find somewhere to park the car overnight. The front desk staff were almost never there. You had a door code to get back in after 7:00pm.
There were local bus timetables to get around which would be very helpful if you don't have a car. The bus to Black Rock took about half an hour, and cost $2:50. As parking is both expensive and hard to find, the bus is perfect. We a.so used the pool privileges at the Royal Lahaina resort- the upmarket version, which was very nice.

Basic hotel close to the town
The lahaina inn was good for what we needed. The room is basic but satisfactory and it is in the heart of town. To go to the beach you need to travel but not a problem if you have a car (and there is a local bus). I was disappointed that we didn't get the room type that we booked despite having booked very well in advance (apparently that was all that was available currently), and hotel staff could better communicate that the facilities of the Royal Lahaina are available to use and what they are and how to get there (we didn't realise this until late in our stay).

The room was beautiful and clean. The stay was a bit pricey though, and the rooms smaller than what I imagined. Additionally, reception was NEVER there. I did all of my paper work through the housekeeper Jennifer who was wonderful.

Great location
Fantastic location right in the heart of town.
Noisy early morning with bins being emptied and delivery trucks which is to be expected considering its location.
Room was very small but fine as we did not spend a lot of time there. Great balcony with two rocking chairs and water views.

Unsatisfactory
Location is very handy but had we known it is beside a very popular fine dining restaurant where all their refrigerated produce is delivered from 5 am on and furthermore the dump truck coming every morning around 4.30 am which involves two big skip bins being wheeled out into the street and the mechanical noise of this process we would not have stayed there. Also there was not even a small bar fridge in the room (even basic hostel accomodation has shared fridges).
